It sounds like you do not think Javik is that awesome either!

Javik had a lot of potential - he's a freaking prothean, after all. However, I feel that much of this was wasted; they made a few jokes ("Asari have finally mastered writing") and left it at that. Sure, he has some interesting background information on the protheans and Reapers if you talk to him but given that ME3 is a mad hunt for prothean intelligence to build a prothean doomsday weapon, Javik the prothean is egregiously underused.

Hehe, thanks folks! And yeah, I'm still here, sort of! Just been doing other things as well as playing other games. Yesterday, however, I finally got around to playing Leviathan.. and as it turns out, it was a rather okayish dlc after all. Even the Liara bits, though few as they were, were nice. ;o

I'm going to try to see if I can do something about the other unfinished renders I still have lying somewhere in my harddisc or whether I could possibly randomly get ideas for new ones. Feel free to contribute if you have any fancy ones for Sheploo x Liara renders. ;D

My problem with Javik is this.

Did the story really need a prothean?

For me, the answer is no. Not once did I look at the cast of ME and said "Yep, we need a prothean on the squad!"

For me, the Protheans story were done, it's already bad enough we need to once again rely on them by using the crucible, but did we really need to bring a live one back?

For me, Javik is nothing more than a writer at Bioware jerking off to their own lore.

Yeah, he blitzed it. Completely ignored most of the people on the Citadel asking for help, ignored Hackett's requests, did only the bare bones of the hub missions. Unfortunately there's no nostalgia there for him like a lot of us, so he only sees a clunky, slightly broken game where I see pure gold.

Hey guys. I'm back. Have any of you ever felt that once you romanced Liara you can't seem to romance anyone else after? I guess the saying "Once you go blue no one else will do!" atones itself here for me at least. At first, I played through the series because of Miranda, then Genesis came out and I picked Liara and through the first encounter on Illium, where she graced my Shepard with a kiss I have never gone back. I can't stand starting a new ME3 playthrough going to Mars and not being able to hold Liara's hands gracefully as the first encounter in ME3. Coincidentally, my LI usually matches my class preference. So if I am a Vanguard/Adept its Liara, if I'm an Infiltrator its Miranda/Tali.. But since I'm a biotic **** I am with Liara 99% of the time..

My canon Shep romanced Miranda in ME2.

But in terms of the entire series from ME1 to ME3, I think Liara has the best romance arc. I couldn't imagine another character as the series' canon romance for Shepard.

^ That is how I was at first, but nope. Liara grabbed me and I have never gone back. Its this "Oh I'm with (Insert alternate LI), Here, I'm your brain and I will make you rigorously think of Liara and how much more subtle and more gripping a relationship with her would be like"

Sort of. My first and canon Shepard I've had since '07 has stuck with Liara the whole way through, and I've grown used to having her as my LI. However, some of my other Shepards I find simply wouldn't work well with her, so I branched off and tried the other romance paths. I still obviously enjoy Liara's the most, but Jack, Kaidan and Garrus' arcs were also quite entertaining to play through. 

I certainly wouldn't be able to romance anyone else with my canon Shepard, but I don't restrict every playthrough I do to Liara.

Nope you did.

Miranda will die if:
You import with her unloyal.
She dies in the suicide mission
Dont warn her about Kaileng
start from ME3

If your shepard broke up with her in ME3  that means:
It was  an imported file
Miranda was loyal.
She survived the Suicide mission.

So you can take out the non-import, dying in the suicide mission, and unloyal part: which leaves you with only two ways to kill Miranda. Breaking up with her, overides warning her about Leng,  so she'll die even if you warn her.  So you, as the player, are responsible for that course of events.

Think I'll follow in Illithris's footsteps.. so laterz.

I might get boo'd out of the room for saying this, but I sometimes wish someone would release a high resolution re-texture of Liara with smaller breasts. I swear they grew in each installment; given Benezia as an archetype maybe it was intentional, but I'd still prefer them their original size.

Nah, I agree with you. I liked the ME1 character models the best, personally. 


EDIT: Wait, Yuqi is leaving too? How long before everyone is gone?

She probably blackmailed a plastic sugeon back on Illium...  

But yeah, Im pretty sure it was a part of Biowares/EA marketing campaign like Ashley´s missing bun (she also got a boob job, skirt & sci-fi heels), so they could reel in some more money spending kids...

But, I will give them credit for finally getting Femshep´s face right. Them freckles & firehair!   <3<3<3
