Yeah I can see your points Akernis and Alex. Sorry, It was a building point of frustration. Also some of it I thought was made to look bigger because her clothing/armor put more padding around her like Doozer said. To me her size is ok because of her mother, and she is 109 in her maiden stage and I was under the impression that during that time is when a lot of that "stuff" would develop. Of personal opinion, I think she is hitting the lower area of the "large" scale. However larger then that would probably be a bit too much even for me.

@Snookie

Oooh, Pretty... Nice find *high five* ;P

So lets repost it! ;P

Indeed. She's not sitting there after Shepard's death, she's sitting there waiting for him/her to come back from, er...grocery shopping. That works. ^_^

Well I guess it's that time again. Blood for the blood god, check your thetan levels, etc.

Liara pushed the now naked Tali down onto the water bed. The bed wobbled soothingly under Tali's body as she shifted her weight on it and let out a small giggle. She beckoned Liara over to join her. As liara bent down to lay a tender kiss on tali's warm cheeck, she was surprised as tali fastened her fangs on her soft, blue neck. She let out a soft gasp before tali began to bite down, tali's sharp fangs easily puncturing her skin, immediately drawing blood. Liara, shocked and confused at this turn of events, attemped to push tali back down and escape, but was thwarted as tali used both her arms and legs to hold liara tight against her body, her powerful quarian legs preventing any movement from the asari, even to use her biotics. Tali bit deeper into the neck before her, finally able to sate her blood-thirst. As liara weakened from loss of blood, tali's liquid feast dripping from her lips and down her elegant neck, she rolled liara onto her back, and began to gorge herself on blood as the naked asari's struggles became weaker and weaker.

Delicious.

Thought I'd share this.. poor Liara lol..

Ok just trying to catch up, this post had me in stiches lol this is sooo messed! Particularly lol'd at the line about her powerful Quarian legs, like a vice grip of death. The Tali thread never ceases to surprise me, lol at the thought of a Mass Effect/True Blood crossover!:P Good to see you around here Terror, I needed that laugh.:D

Ok now I have to go back and catch up on the dozen or so pages I missed.:bandit:

I was gonna post it to help bring balance to the shepexual force (femshep ratio to manshep) but you sorta ninja'd me by 30 seconds so I switched to the comic link fallback.:P

And... uhh *wakes up apparently next to akernis on the floor* uhhh...wuh oh. ;):D

Also: she looks moreso tired in that image than anything else.  Just taking a quiet moment while the normandy docks for repairs and debrief to reflect.  Maybe shes dwelling on happier times, maybe she's soaking in the hope of reuniting with the rumored alive shepard of high ems destroy ending - or..yes..the grocery shopping thing. lol.

Speaking of head canon, what head canon does everyone have for Liara? Is there anything you've come up with to explain gaps in her background or the story, or to fill in details of her life either before or after the events of the Mass Effect series?

My head canon for Liara...

She had a private military tutor:  Despite being an archaeologist with no prior record of military service, Liara was able to seemlessly integrate into Shepard's team in Mass Effect, and Shepard doesn't appear to have any qualms about deploying her in combat. Her biotic abilities aren't enough to explain that IMO, and like many Liara fans I've head canoned that Shepard trained her after she joined the Normandy. But that alone isn't enough to explain Liara's combat prowess, as months do not pass between Therum and the next mission, and months (at the very least) would be needed to train up a completely raw recruit. To explain that, I've head canoned that part of the education for young Asari women from prominent families who are being groomed for future political leadership, is instruction in military matters by a private tutor. (not unlike the ancient Greeks, on which the Asari are very loosely based)

The core of Liara's Illium intel operation was formed around Benezia's old contacts:  Liara's shift from archaeologist to information broker goes largely unexplained in the series. We know the reasons why of course, but we aren't told how an archaeologist managed to form the nuts and bolts of a prominent intel operation on Illium. Since  Benezia had ties to the Asari government, and both had access to the ultimate Asari state secret and had prior contacts with a Spectre (Saren), I think she was either a member of, or had very close links to the Asari Intelligence Service(s). My head canon is that Liara dug up some of these old contacts to form the nuts and bolts of her Illium operation, and it was her family name and links to Benezia that gained those agents loyalty.

For some reason, I've always headcanon'd that Shepard and Wrex helped train Liara for combat. My Shepard isn't a biotic, so all he could train her in was weapons usage, tactics etc, but Wrex seems like the right person to tutor her further in using biotics in combat. That also explains why Wrex and Liara seem so close in ME3; Wrex is like the mentor/father figure she never had.

Hello, I am coming here to apologize for the actions of Terrorize quoting the posts of the Tali thread's resident sexual deviant, Exelsis (*cough* Vampire Tali fetish *cough**cough*). As Terrorize is the Tali thread's resident troll, I would like to extend a apology on behalf of the Talimancers for our failure to keep him in check. A full inquiry will be conducted to look into as to how Terrorize escaped the cage we keep him locked in.

Hmm someone in this thread said the other day Femsheps inspiration could of been taken from Ripley (Alien), although I wouldn't be surprised if it came from "The Boss" (MGS3), to this day I still see here as one of the strongest female roles to ever appear, and that has absolutely no sexual pull in her character.

@ Thewerdna: the apology is unnecessary as we did not take offense, but the courtesy is appreciated nonetheless.

My Shepard is a biotic adept and spent considerable time training Liara in offensive biotic ability, weapon usage and hand-to-hand combat, in return Liara also helped my Sheaprd further develop and fune-tune his abilities beyond their ordinarily powerful but relatively raw potential. She would no doubt  also pick up tips from Garrus, Wrex and Kaidan as well.

I agree with Han that she would have recieved some training from home, she does say that she has handled priveteers before however dull that appears next to Sheaprd's opponents. Though in my mind her training are more along the lines of self-defence than military trianing and the tactical aspect comes from Sheaprd and co. Liara also seems to be a very fast learner (she establish a extensive information brokering position in less than two years) and Kaelis Shepad is, much to his own surprise, a surprisingly good tutor so I do not doubt that Liara picks up what she is taught fairly quickly. But nonetheless in my mind it still takes quite some time before she is truly proficient in combat and several times she is in over her head doing their travels. And though she has always been helpful first about the time of Virmire is she truly skilled enough to function seamlessly in combat with Shepard and the others.

Grab your garlic Werdna, Terror's coming!:P Yeah Dragon_Claw said it and yep I see the comparison too, Ellen Ripley so much win, also after watching the second season of BSG I really think Renegade Femshep alot of her inspiration must be from Admiral Cain, damn that woman was freakin' terrifying, tough as hell and strangely kinda hot too:whistle:

Edit 2: Just lurking back and I missed the great boob debate, darn RL work!<_<:P  Yeah it's hard not to notice she's more plentiful in ME3 but so are all the other ladies. Big boobs are more of a curse than a blessing, unwanted attention, back problems and so forth well in RL anyway, boys will never have to worry about that though.:innocent: Liara's new look, didn't annoy me to be honest, they aren't overly big, she's just more curvy in general in ME3. Some have even said well in fanfics they are suggesting that she is entering the Matron stage early because of frequent melds with Shep.

I imagine that, during the time of ME1, my Sven Shepard was far too brash and easily angered to ever make a good teacher, so he probably left a lot of it to Wrex and Garrus. He also probably didn't want anyone to see that he was mad in love, being the cold and overall unlikeable guy that he was...

That can work, sometimes it is far more interesting when the character has trouple with the romance in the beginning, makes it all the more potent when it does work out.
One of my favourite fanfics has a firmly cold and agressive renegade Shepard who is in the writer's own words "a rough diamind if ever there was one" in love with Liara and it is extremely interesting to read how she gradually opens up to Liara Posted Image

Hmm, that sounds a bit like my canon Shepard. I kind of RP'd the crap out of him.

He was a Colonist+Sole Survivor, so he understandably didn't think much of life at the time of ME1. He sort of ran off the mindset of 'life sucks and then you die,' and that really showed, seeing as for the former part of ME1 he was cold, ruthless and ridiculously pessimistic about pretty much everything; and then Liara came around, and after that I gradually made him progress through the path of pure Renegade->Renagon->Paragade->Paragon as he slowly gained more he wanted to live for. By ME3, he was Paragon to the bone.

Of course, I had to Lorik Q'in glitch to pull this off, but it was quite enjoyable...

EDIT: Topless with a cool story bro. Have a picture:

I laughed for a bit when someone said this happened to, of all classes, their infiltrator Shepard
