My canon Shep romanced Miranda in ME2.

But in terms of the entire series from ME1 to ME3, I think Liara has the best romance arc. I couldn't imagine another character as the series' canon romance for Shepard.

Murderer..

Posted Image

Kai Leng killed Miranda, not Shepard.

Nope you did.

*snip/*

So you can take out the non-import, dying in the suicide mission, and unloyal part: which leaves you with only two ways to kill Miranda. Breaking up with her, overides warning her about Leng, so she'll die even if you warn her. So you, as the player, are responsible for that course of events.

The player and Shepard are not one and the same.

While I, as the player, am responsible for Miranda buying the farm...within the story Shepard is not. Within the story Kai Leng bears 100% of the responsibility for her death.

Miranda's death is entirely random and there is no 'in story' explanation for it. There are some deaths that Shepard could be blamed for within the story, like for example Jacob dying if sent into the vents or if the Virmire survivor is shot during the coup.

Dumped Miranda's death is not one of them, because she gets warned about Kai Leng but gets killed by him anyway. The player's choices might determine whether or not Miranda dies, but there is no action taken by Shepard in the story that in any way causes Miranda to die.

You pushed the buttons that set the 'story' down that path, you set the flag, so you are responsible. It's players like you, that give the rest of us broshep-players a bad name.

I'm curious CrimsonN7, how does your girlfriend feel about you having an infactuation with Liara. Doesn't that make the relationship kinda awkward, with your sorta cheating on her for a fictional blue alien chick?

Not that I think that's a bad thing just so we are clear. :P

Can't speak for Crimson here, but my girlfriend countered my Liara craze by playing Mass Effect and developing an unhealthy obsession with Garrus.

I think she does it just to rub it in my face though...:bandit:

^^ YES. I'm not alone in this (So many people :D). I've been thinking very diligently about FTL travel and such in ME. IRL they have already concluded that traveling at such speeds would have dire ramifications but even before ME came out, there is a theory about reducing the given mass to a negative unit to make FTL travel possible (In ME if I'm not mistaken the Normandy does this because of its core which during FTL travel allows it to drastically reduce its mass) I wouldn't be surprised by like 2030 that we are trying to leap across the galaxy in search of colonial destinations.

 No, you aren't. One good thing about the internet is that whatever your quirk, it's almost gauranteed that there's someone else with that quirk.

And this page is lacking some blue

^^^^^Crimson(my humblest apologies to Snookie for the misnomer) Wait you ate flies.... Everyone get her she's a Salarian infiltrator... :P

and don't worry Assassin your not weird for getting that attached especially in the tech and science behind the universe. although if you take it to manic OCD levels you might turn into a less talented Stanley Kubrik. that dude was a creative genius and undeniably evil. who else almost causes his actor to become permantly blind when filming a scene, or forces their secretary to type out a repeating one line 400 page novel in atleast five languages.

edit:  fix'd

Wait...what?!

You seem to be taking this personal, for some bizarre reason.

How is that I gave male Shep players a bad name? Because Miranda died, or because my canon version of Shepard romanced someone other than Liara in Mass Effect 2?

If its the former, Miranda isn't a real person. I no more feel guilty about her death than an author would feel over killing off a character in a book he or she was writing. Like the deaths of Thane or Mordin the death scene it self was sad, but I think it also gives the story more emotional weight. It also makes the confrontation with Kai Leng afterwards, all the more satisfying.

If its the latter, I'm beating a dead horse here but Shepard was single in Mass Effect 2.

Oh authors and others can feel pretty guilty over killing characters they have created, depending on emotional attachment to said characters.

This is a cool image, but why is Miranda having a wardrobe malfunction? lol

Considering every other character is fully dressed (that counts as fully dressed for Jack), it just seems odd.Posted Image

Sure.

But the 'you're a bad person and you should feel bad' nonsese is a little over the top, particularly if the person saying it is actually serious.

Of course, how a person "should" feel about something is entirely their own prerogative.

Good to see I'm not alone, then.

My big one is Serenity, the movie that serves as a sequel to the show Firefly; I swear to god, Joss Whedon must've woken up one morning and said: "Hey, I should get two of Snookie's favorite characters...and I should kill them off!"

Me and him haven't been on speaking terms since then.
