^^ Isn't it weird that in some cases, characters have there loadout shown in the cutscenes, but most of the time the cutscenes show them holding an Avenger, or a Predator instead.

What determines that, I wonder.

Or, whenever Shepard needs to point a gun at someone, they put away their rifle and produce a Shuriken from nowhere.

Might depend on who was making that particular cutscene, or it might depend on some technical aspect which is above me.

The size of the weapon is one of the reasons.

^^Hehe though it does lead to amusing moments like liara randomly wielding an avenger when she cant use ARs.

Also in every cutscene where i see an avenger, which is all of them, i feel it explains why the reapers arent beatable by conventional means. 'Hey guys lets take our weakest weapon and equip everyone with it!!' Im sure if they'd only start equipping claymores, widows and harriers then the war wouldve been over in a week flat and everyone couldve gone home for tea.

As for the cutscene weapons.. The Avenger is a mythical weapon, the stuff of fairy tales and legends. Its said it will fill the hands of those making a badass stance to complete the epicness. On a side note, fourkids loves to censor guns.

Good god I want to go to there! I also heard talk of a werewolf Tali, you see Twilight isn't complete crap if you transport ME characters into it lol!

I can't say I agree.  

Liara is my most preferred team mate simply because I have her prime or detonate my attacks (I play mainly as an adept or vanguard).  With the exception of Gold MP, gun use in Insanity SP is greatly overratted especially if you have good synergy between your Biotic Shepard and his/her team mates.  With Shepard as an adept or Vanguard, Liara is a MUST have biotic powerhouse.
