Pft just cause I've shipped alot of chars together, wrote fics containing biting and whips amounst other things, supplied ideas and requests to talented artists for M rated art work and corrupted people by supplying mental and pysical material that's banned in 13 countries.. I disagree, Liara's short cooldown on singularity means that she is the best crowd controler in the game. Have her spam singularity and my soldier Shepard could just pop up and kill the rest of the enemies with ease, while Liara was warming up for a warp detonations.

Well obviously your Shep is not a adept or vanguard, otherwise you wouldn't have a problem with Liara.

Indeed, I love using Liara, in addition to never wanting to miss her dialog and just wanting her along she works so well with my Adept 

Ravagers can be anoying but with squad warp ammo and fully upgraded warp for my adept it is more a mild annoyance than a serious concern.
I never had a problem against Cerberus troops while using Liara; the non-shielded troops gets trapped in her singularity which my Shepard promtly detonates it with a throw or warp and even on insanity the shielded troops  go down quick when Liara freezes them in a fully upgraded vulnerability stasis and my Sheaprd gives them a quick bust of warp rounds and then kills them with a warp.

Weapon wise I usually just give her a shuriken and a predator or a carnifex.

I find Liara works well with an Infiltrator too. Stasis comes in handy when you're trying to snipe.

Although I've always found myself bringing my favorite characters rather than most useful. Luckily, Liara is both, so win-win.

Eh with my soldier class, ...well lets just say I had unreal tournament sound effects going off in my head through every level with Liara on the squad, "Mo-mo-monster kiiiiilllll.." "Unstoppable!" "Ludicrous kill!" "Hoollly shiit!"
She worked wonders with what little I tinkered with the Engineer class too.

I generally find her an exceptionally useful squadmate, and with Garrus also along to take care of heavy shields and long range targets I will gladly take on everything that the reapers or ceberus throws at me

No of course not Terror, that is just an average week on the BSN lol!

Back to the topic of Liara as a squadmate, I find her as a vital all-rounder in my party, stasis and singularity both excellent crowd control moves, warp excellent against reaper forces and she is the best biotic squadmate you got, my canon Shep is an adept so both blend well in battle and my other Shep is an infiltrator so stasis very helpful when I'm lining up a shot.

For some reason, I found her less effective when fighting Geth, though. I still brought her, but Garrus/EDI and Tali seem like they'd be the best choice for them.
