Sad Liara is sad.

I'm so going to have to do a playthrough with Amy romancing her instead of Sam, she just looks too miserable ![]()

I just find it... odd, to see Liara wearing justicar armor. Maybe it's because I really like the color contrast between my Shepard (red and black) and Liara (blue and white).

Justicars are supposed to be what, matriarchs? Or at least very damn close. And Liara's far from there, at least as far as physical age goes(experience is another matter). I guess that's at least partially source of oddness.
But she just looks so damn great in it that I can forgive her.
I like her "justicar" armor, but don't have the CE, sadly. And I guess the headband can be anything, just decoration, something religious, etc...it's probably nothing only justicars wear
You are probably right. Guess the devs just wanted her to look badass. And boy, have they succeeded ![]()
So, I have a little theory going on in my head. It's as much of headcanon as anything else, but I wanted to share it anyway and see what other Liara fans think about it.
I've been thinking about it and it's pretty obvious Liara is in her maiden stage in ME1. But I believe she changes significantly between the first and second game, on account of her experience gained while traveling with Shepard and co., as well as her personal growth. As well as growth in... higher reaches.
Long story short, I believe that, due to everything that happened between ME1 and ME3, Liara has progressed from maiden to matron and is, as such, the youngest matron in asari history. Optimistic predictions base it somewhere at the end of LotSB, realistic somewhere after fall of Thessia. But I firmly believe that, by the end of ME3, Liara has actually entered her matron stage. This is pretty much irrelevant of her romantic status with Shepard. If she is involved with Shepard, this follows the optimistic predictions(you know, regular meldings and whatnot). If they are only friends, the realistic prediction holds true.
And I'm interested, what do the rest of the Liara fans think about this?
AFAIK ingame (ME1/ME2) it is said/written that any mature (like Liara) asari can enter matron stage when they want to / feel like it, that "they have to be a few hundred years old" is a books-only thing (created by drew karpyshyn?)
I agree with you, Mordokai. Or maybe it's my own 'head-canon', but Liara has definitely matured, physically as well as mentally and from what I understand there is no hard and fast rule when an Asari transitions from one stage to the next.
Liara bonding with Shepard (well mine always do) then losing him, only to reunite again, plus all the experiences they've been through has given Liara a strength and wisdom well beyond her years. So I think she would be able to have children with Shepard in the near future, say when the war is finally over. But I'm a hopeless romantic and Liara fan. I want my 'little blue children' dammnit!
But after everything I've read I always wondered do the Asari have the equivalent of 'teen pregnancy'?.
Edit: "Higher reaches". love that term. lol
I always thought that, too. At the very least, it explains a good deal of the physical changes.
What's Aria, though? My guess would be a very old matron.

I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the codex. Might be wrong, of course.

I don't think a teen pregnancy is really a viable thing with asari. One more bonus when you can decide if you want to conceive or not ![]()
But I'm glad to see you agree with me. Yeah, after everything she's been through, Liara's bound to mature a little faster than the rest of the asari.
As for blue babies... I imagine this is what Shepard/Liara daughter would look like ![]()

If you play Omega in just the right way, she says she's almost thousand years old. Which, I guess, makes her a matriarch, solidly.
Of course, her maturity is another matter ![]()
Sorry if this has already been posted. I thought it was too adorable to not post in here

"That thing is too big for you, Little Wing, don’t you think?"
Although this is an oldie, it's one of my favourite Liara fan vids.
I thought Hurricane is also part of CE? How can you use it if you don't have CE?
Gibbed. You can add every CE exclusive to your game except for the squadmate outfits. It saved me having to spend an extra £20 just for weapons.

Haven't seen it yet. Pretty.

Aw, shoot. That's reserved for master race. Me, I'm a dirty console peasant
Still, thanks for explanation.
Now I know everybody likes to see a pair of shapely legs, so I thought I'd share my newest discovery from dA.

Finally, a "realistic" looking Liara statue ![]()
But it's pretty expensive...

This thread needs an infusion of Liara, stat!

Now somebody pick up the pace ![]()

I played some SWTOR during this weekend and met a questgiver with Ali Hilli's voice. I wonder if she's also in DA:I.

Bioware reuses a lot of the same voice talent, so it is always possible. Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale go back to Baldur's Gate.
Did you romance her character in that game as well?

Been some time since I played it... who were they?

Hale's or Hilli's?
The only once I romanced in BG so far has been Jaheira. I think I want to give Vicky a try, I hear good thing about her. I want to try Arie, but I hear she actually gets pregnant in ToB and gives birth, which I find just sligthly... silly.
I want to play female PC more often, but seeing Anomen is only option for her, well... I find the guy just slightly off-putting
Thank the god for mods.
You know, BG was a really great game, especially SoA. I should probably replay it one of these days.
The only noticeable shared roles I found are:Been some time since I played it... who were they?

It has been years since I've played BG as well, and back then I didn't know who Mark Meer was. I'm not sure who played, but he lists it on his linkedin account and has mentioned in interviews first working with Bioware on Baldur's Gate. It may have just been a minor character since I believe it was his first VA gig. He also did VA work in Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire, and the Dragon Age games.
Hale played Mazzy Fentan.
Some other actors who've done voice acting work in later Bioware games also were in Baldur's Gate. Grey DeLisle (Velanna in Awakening, Nassana Dantius in ME, Bounty Hunter female protagonist in SWTOR) played Viconia. Jim Cummings (Wreav in Mass Effect) was Minsc. Kath Soucie (Marjolaine and the Desire Demons in Dragon Age) was Aerie. The guy that voiced Adams in Mass Effect also voiced Keldorn in Baldur's Gate. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more.
Hale's or Hilli's?
Ali Hillis.
She plays a minor Twi-lek character in SWTOR. Her character is a potential romance option (a fling) for Jedi knights. Hale voices the female trooper player character, and Satele Shan. Shan isn't a LI though.
