If there is ever a future ME game set after ME3 and in Council space, how do you think the Shadow Broker network should be handled?

they didnt get banned because of my disliking of the pics they posted but because these pics violated the site rules.
i just dont want to find pictures with explicit sexual content here.

It's an m rated game, which is supposed to dictate a certain age group can play. I can post pictures (from in game!) of someone having their head blown into pieces, and you would be fine with that. Yet a bit of computer generated ******? The end of the world!

No it was lame. You could've sent PM's to the pic posters expressing your concerns/worries and asking the posters to edit/delete or spoiler tag said pics.

Well first off, I can see this website on my phone. My phone can access the web while I'm in my workplace's lunch room. My workplace caused some stress with some workers a few years ago when they banned Maxim and the like for being too suggestive to read in the lunch room. Naked Asari Mammaries are probably a bit more than that.

 

That's the thing, the game is M-rated, this forum is T-for-Teen at best! Actually specifically that, I recall reading about someone who got banned for quoting the I'm-twelve-and-what-is-this meme at something, because the minimum age is what, thirteen? But more than that, just because a game is M-rated doesn't mean there aren't under-eighteen players and appreciators of the games. My stepsister was playing Perfect Dark at twelve. Then again that's a soft M, but seriously... and the game in question in this forum got M for violent content like burning bodies ragdolling, not the sex scene that Cooper Lawrence has admitted she's seen harder stuff on daytime soaps.

 

Maybe people have screwy priorities in this country (and the adjacent country, considering) but that's just how it is.

It's a US/Canadian shared hangup, and I'm not saying I think it's a good thing. It's definitely present on this side of the pond though.

 

Just saying that there's a point to wanting to not get sent to HR for unexpected blue boobs at work. But yeah, this topic both drags on by itself and bores the crap out of me so I'll drop it here.

you´re starting to get ridiculous. i would have used the "p-word", but this would have been autocensored, and i didnt want to write it with one letter replaced because i recently got a warning point for "avoiding the language filter"...
to me it looks like you´re just looking for reasons to pick on me. were the deleted pics your favourites in this thread? if yes, i´m pretty sure you can find tons of this pics on certain porn sites, so dont worry too much about the fact that the pics here were deleted.

I don't think we'll see anything besides a small cameo from any of the old characters in the next ME. So I guess Liara could be the quest giver for a mission or she gives you some information you need...something like that.

Yeah, Liara probably should be the link for a future game. Set far enough into the future that everyone who isn't her should be dead... the problem here is the same issue New Vegas had with playable epilogues -- the changes are so galaxy altering between the three endings (amazing that I'm saying that considering the cupcake stunt -- remember that? Three colors, all the same flavor? -- but it really is true now that we know the galaxy hasn't been atomized) that it'd be hard to create a story that would be the same in any one of the three. I mean, benevolent Reapers could squash a lot of threats that no-AI-galaxies would shake at. Also f**k Synthesis.

If we go by technicalities, we were banned because somebody(not pointing any fingers, mind you ) reported us. Everybody was perfectly fine with those pictures before that somebody came along. In fact, as far as I remember, I got quite some likes for them.

 

Now to be clear... no hard feelings whatsoever, as I said Hell, I'm greatly amused somebody actually got around to actually report me Like Gears before me, I freely admit it was long time coming and richly deserved. But don't go selling me apples and telling me they are oranges, that just kinda stinks

 

Okay, first post in a BioWare forum in months is about how someone got in trouble for NSFW pics and someone giving stupid guff about the one who ratted them out.

 

It's kind of odd though. First off, not going to say anything bad about either poster in general. The pic-poster is just showing their appreciation for Liara, and the reporter kind of had the right to be stressed, considering what would happen if they were browsing a suddenly NSFW site that shouldn't be, in an environment that's bad for NSFW, like, oh, W. :-P Secondly, some people have a very idealized view of Liara in this thread and in the groups I used to frequent. Like they feel dirty looking at her like that or something. (Ironically this is an actual issue I myself have with Merrill as of the end of Dragon Age 2. Even after seeing her in her nightie in the middle of the game!) Somehow I might have broken free of that view, and I can see the 'human' flaws that Liara has and also the idea that she sneaks up to Shepard's cabin more than we see in ME3 makes more sense than not, tell you the truth. But I can't fault it, I mean, she's Liara, the woman most of us simultaneously want to be and be with.

 

Yeah, I was much the same when I first finished the game. Happens a lot to me. But the internet set me straight on this. Like so many others, Liara is just much as human(well... you know... except being asari) as the others. Now I freely enjoy some of the more explicit content provided by many talented artists on the webz. Nothing wrong with that, it's as much part of the character as everything else And unlike some really sick stuff out there, I would like to believe most of the stuff I posted so far was on this side of tasteful line.

I think I said so before, but I think Liara will use it for good wherever she can. If Leviathans rear their ugly heads, it could be mighty useful tool for combating them. After a while however, I see her relinquishing everything to retire together with Shepard and their three kids.

 

And just to prove I never learn a lesson, here be a picture of a pair of beautiful blue boobies, in all their naked glory, as god intended them. Totally SFW, mind you!

This has been argued a lot around the place, such as on Steam with Skyrim images.  Show one nipple = ban, but showing images of chopping off the head (graphically) of an old woman who runs an orphanage is fine.  Go figure.  It effectively pushes the lighter end of the scale into the areas of the net which really are pushing the boundaries of 'taste', and the softer images of Liara and the like do not belong there.  I have no desire to see adverts for '****** guzzling sluts' when I'm browsing for blue beauties.

Again, something that I noticed. I would probably have an issue with my niece playing Mass Effect not for the sexual content -- and not for the language, either, she hears worse from her dad, aunt and uncle all the time -- but for the violence. Go shoot a merc with the main cannon of the Mako and watch what happens to it, or use incendiary ammo on foot. It's kind of horrifying. Mass Effect 2 I'd probably recommend against her playing because of Jack's potty mouth (we're all a lot better than that) and the violence. And call me crazy for all that but she's entering middle school, but I think she'd handle it alright. (Apparently she actually is good with what happens onscreen in Skyrim from what I've heard, too, so maybe I'm a bit off, but...)
