Fair 'nuff.
They really did give her a massive chest in ME3, didn't they.
The armored / clothed models are obviously all different, but the few naked models we have in the game - Ash, FemShep, Liara - are indeed all the same except for slight proportional differences (and removed underwear for Liara).
I'm not sure where semi-naked Jack fits in this, I never extracted her model for some reason...
FemShep (seems I missplaced her head somehow
), Liara, Ash, EDI

Just found this in my MassEffect favs on DA

While on subject of pyjaks...

And a more serious/sweet one...

Poor Liara... seems like she and pyjaks just don't get along ![]()

On Thessia
Like the ambient and like Liara
But seriously... Tempest/Predator combo? You, kind sir, sucketh muchly ![]()
Seriously, been a long time since I've last played, but with multiplayer knowledge, I'd say Liara would really benefit from Acolyte/Hurrucane combo. Or, if you want to be less chessy... Arc Pistol/BPP. What do you people usually equip her with?

She looks properly badass in this one
Picture the courtesy of Han Shot First, if memory serves.
As a bonus question that might be kinda interesting... what made your Shepard fall in love with Liara? Now, I know we all(or at least, most of us) have played this game multiple times, but I know I personally have only one Shepard(out of five of them) that I consider canon. I believe that to be the case with most of you as well.
She be a renegon engineer. So, kinda the furthest thing away from Liara you might imagine. Sure, there is the old trope of opposites attracting, but I feel there is more to it than just that. At first, she was kinda annoyed by Liara. She was the wide eyed idealist who believed in the good in people(of any race, really), which was pretty much the polar opposite of what life taught Tabitha(yes, that is the Shepard in question). Yet, as she came to know her more, she grew to like her... slowly but subtly. The very thing she didn't like about Liara was the one thing she was missing from her life, she realized. Compassion, trust, goodwill, some naivety even... love? Could this be it?
That's why Liara's fall from grace hit her so hard. She blames herself for it... for taking what made her lovely little doctor special away. After all, if she never met Liara and didn't tangle with her, the cute little scientist would never be exposed to harsher sides of life, right? She feels like she destroyed something special and beautiful and yet, strangely enough, she still feels drawn to the strength that Liara now exudes. It confuses her greatly, but she can't deny that feeling for this special asari are still there.
She would guard and protect Liara with her life. The problem being... Liara doesn't want that protection anymore. In fact, she loathes it greatly. I did some exploration of this in my fanfic Too Close(shameless self promotion right there kids!).
If any of you wonderful people want to share your story, I'm all ears ![]()
Don't have Hurricane and Blood Pack SMG
And I use Incendiary Ammo with Explosive Burst evolution so the more bullets she shoots the better
Pistol is just for cutscenes ![]()
I liked Liara in ME1. She was that young archaeologist torn from her comfort zone and shoved into adventure that can alter the fates of everyone in the galaxy. I liked her awkwardness with humans. With LotSB and ME3, she became more ruthless. I still remember the first time I entered her cabinet on Illium. I was a bit weary after learning of her new profession from a greeter with armed escort. And then I hear her saying the "asari commando" line, like her mother on Noveria. From that moment, there was a gap between my Shepard and her.
Usually give her the Hurricane and some random pistol that never really gets used. Liara isn't really there for the guns, she brings some of the biotic boom ![]()
I don't do canon playthroughs. Not much story to tell, but my first Shepard was just curious about Liara because she was an alien. They spent a lot of time talking and got along really well. Shep and Liara are alike and one thing lead to another. Became good friends, and in time that friendship grew into something more. They've been inseparable ever since ![]()
Well, except for ME2 that was pretty heavy on the relationship due to Liara just hanging out on Illium and Shepard was worried about the Shadow Broker business. Not having Liara part of the team was lonely, and I don't know what would have happened if Lair of the Shadow Broker hadn't come along. But LotSB fixed that. They got to kick ass together and reconnect their relationship.
By the time ME3 came along they both had changed. In my eyes their relationship has grown and matured just like they themselves have. Now they know themselves and each other, and they are staying together as long as possible.
It's hard to let go ![]()
I didn't realize Liara (and other characters) in this game were so tall - but I guess it makes sense. My generation is somewhat taller than my parent's, and even moreso than grandparent's. Future generations will likely be taller yet.
According to the scale of this statue, Liara would be 6' tall - a bit more, but I'm allowing for the base.
19" of Liara for $330.

I'm fond of smaller women in real life... but for Liara, I'll make exception ![]()

As for Liara and guns, I usually give her the Blood pack submachine gun.
"You're late Shepard.. and just for that, despite being faithful over two and half games I am still going to suggest friendship.."
Way to go, Bioware.

Oh come on. Lets be fair, the thing works quite perfectly for non imported romance
It works even for imported romance... if you squint really hard... on both eyes ![]()
Of course, I'm a little baffled what the guy who was writing these lines thought when he did it. I mean, how hard would it have been to add another line or two? Some serious brainfarting going on there ![]()

I notice shark's face looks suspiciously like Aria's. Coincidence?
I am quite amused(in the best possible way, of course) that new art is still being created so long after the game is done and finished. Guess it says something about character popularity ![]()

Liara's writer was female actually. In ME3 she was written by Sylvia Feketekuty. I think overall she did a great job, the multiple "Are you sure, Shepard?" prompts notwithstanding.
She's responsible for two of what I consider to be Liara's best scenes in the series...the name in the stars scene, and Liara's parting gift on Earth.

The BPP looks very out of place on Liara, IMO. The Hurricane looks better. I don't particularly care about her gun so much as the power amp mod, though even that is not that important since her workhorse power is singularity. I generally go with the Hurricane/Eagle to start, and then switch her to the Suppressor after Citadel. I also don't like how the BPP sounds. Its got this high pitched squeal, while the Hurricane sounds like a baseball card slapping the spokes on a bicycle wheel. (The change in the sound of the Locust from ME2 to ME3 also bothers me. I didn't have a problem with the sound of the Locust in ME2, but in ME3 its got that same high pitched squeal as the BPP. Plus, it is just not nearly as good as it was.)

I would happily give Liara an Acolyte...... if it actually worked. Same with Tali and the Arc pistol.
One of my gripes about some of these new weapons.

Off topic, but Tali (or everyone else using Pistols) with Arc pistol works really well (against mooks), afar.
NPCs don't charge, but fire the gun at (near?) its max. fire rate -and score a headshot after every 3rd or 5th shot.

Even the Acolyte?
Maybe I jumped to too many conclusions. There's at least one charged weapon that made me think it was pointless on squadmates though... not sure which.

Now that you mention it, I remember hearing that name before. And yeah, I agree with you, she generally did a stellar job with the romance and it's presentation and execution. Even the whole friendship thing didn't bother me nearly as much as most of the other people.

Yeah, it didn't bother me too much either. I'd rather some of that was written a bit differently, but it didn't annoy me to the point where I couldn't enjoy her character's scenes. In fact overall I'd say most of her best scenes in the series were in ME3. (the others in LotSB)
