I'm concerned that Liara needs a clearly defined goal (stopping the reapers) to keep her from abusing her power after she becomes the Shadow Broker. She doesn't give Shepard concrete assurance that she can resist temptation.

Her "give me ten minutes and I could start a war" comment is said in a disconcerting tone, also. Thoughts?

But she finishes that statement with "I have a purpose, helping you fight the reapers."  I don't think Liara would ever do that, though.

That's my point. The way she says it, it sounds as though her honesty is conditional, like she needs that purpose to keep her from straying from ethical courses of action. There are other things in LotSB that put her moral character into question. She doesn't show any remorse for getting Sekat killed and she doesn't seem to care about the innocent people that got blown up or shot by Vasir or the Shadow Broker's soldiers.

To be fair, it is true.
Tali is a pretty terrible leader, she couldn't keep her squad under controll on Freedom's Progress, so they rushed ahead and got destroyed by a mech.
Also she probably would have died on Haelstorm if Shep didn't show up.

Yes, but in Tali's defense it was the presence of Cerberus & Shepard that set the quarians on edge. Who knows how it would have turned out had Cerberus not shown up.

Oh their fault for investgating an attack on a HUMAN colony, and Tali's idiotic subordinates questioning why their there. Tali's a a horrible leader.

I think she cared, but she has a very logical mind, the mission needed to go on, to break down or to stop and think about it wouldnt have helped

Yeah that would be out of character imo.
Unless Bioware wants to take that direction as a setup for a future game, I don't think Liara would ever start a Galactic war.

I'm not suggesting Liara would start a war for funsies. It's just her tone that I'm not sure about.

Power corrupts and being The Shadow Broker is absolute power. I wanted to unplug the whole thing but alas that was not an option. I don't like the idea of Liara being there ... My Shepard is afraid that Liara will see things in her past, her bank statements, credit card purchases, video of her "sexual harrasment behaviour" towards Jacob. The little things. Nope. That job is got to go away ... and soon!

We weren't given any hint that she cared at all. If she really did, when Shepard confronts her about it, it would've been simple to add in something like "I didn't want anyone else to die because of me, but it's done. Let's focus on the mission." She just admits that she got Sekat killed for the information she needed, and she would do it again.

they would have taken Vitor away and Cerberus would not have learned anything, oh wait Tim already knew about the collectors so the whole trip was basicly - Entirely Pointless.

I like the picture btw, only one question, my guess it's Shepard grave, but they never recovered Shep's body, is it empty?

Nope! It was that awful "Bioware Punking Femsheps"! Poor Jacob suffered for that which is sad. I avoided his area like a plague after that. Thank goodness I play male shep as well and got to know him through that relationship.

I don't need Liara seeing anything that makes her question my Shep. Image IPB

The fact that Vasir pulled the trigger doesn't mean Liara isn't at fault as well. She knew that if she got Sekat involved in her business, the Shadow Broker's agents would come after him. Liara pretty much admits this.

I only ever play male Shep so would I be right in guessing there is some sort of Anders DA2 like situation between Femshep and Jacob?

TIM only had suspicions. The reason Shepard went to Freedom's Progress was to get proof (which he/she did, in the form of video surveillance).

She was honest about what she did and that she would do it again. Where I struggle is was her quest honorable to start with? She wanted absolute revenge against the Shadow Broker and that concerns me. It left her so focused that she even left Shep's butt on the concrete without a look back. Does that concern my Shepard? Yes. Revenge is a poison and I hated that she was consumed by it.

But until ME3 is released I won't know if Liara (romanced or not) is closer to the light then the dark when all is said and done. I am hopeful that she will be in a better place. God only knows what all she did in the 2 years while you were gone. Image IPB

Because her admitting that sometimes you need to preform some sacrifices does not mean she is cold. I am sure someone of Shepard position (no matter what kind of morality) knows about it.

After LOTSB does she have a reason not to be? I think you can rest easy. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
