She was honest about what she did and that she would do it again. Where I struggle is was her quest honorable to start with? She wanted absolute revenge against the Shadow Broker and that concerns me. It left her so focused that she even left Shep's butt on the concrete without a look back. Does that concern my Shepard? Yes. Revenge is a poison and I hated that she was consumed by it.
But until ME3 is released I won't know if Liara (romanced or not) is closer to the light then the dark when all is said and done. I am hopeful that she will be in a better place. God only knows what all she did in the 2 years while you were gone.
Liara being truthful about what she did doesn't make it right. I'm not arguing that this is OOC for Liara or that I dislike her character because of it, I'm just saying that her progressive moral ambiguity seems like foreshadowing for something in ME3. I hope Bioware will at least touch on this.
If Shepard had gotten shot or smashed against a wall with biotics I think Liara may have acted differently. As is, he/she only suffered a small tumble, so Liara made the right choice by not going back for Shepard. Vasir could have gotten away with Sekat's data otherwise, and then they wouldn't have been able to find the Shadow Broker's base...of course that didn't stop my Shep from getting snippy due to embarrassment.
