Those puppets are awesome.

I'm curious what the back of Liara's head will look like when finished.

"I don't know which is worse, the geth, or all this sand in my... never mind..."
I found that cute and hilarious when she said that xD
Also this proves Asari have a you know what, so all the haters that say other wise are wrong :P

Erm. So. Is this the new official Liara thread? I haven't set foot in the whole community in a loooooong time, and I was going to post something, but I see a whole ton of different names so I don't think anyone would really get the post since it really would've only been relevant to some old faces. But uh... hi? I feel so lost. XD

It does look better than the one BioWare is pushing right now.  Even the comments by people are saying that too.

I'm concerned that Liara needs a clearly defined goal (stopping the reapers) to keep her from abusing her power after she becomes the Shadow Broker. She doesn't give Shepard concrete assurance that she can resist temptation.

Her "give me ten minutes and I could start a war" comment is said in a disconcerting tone, also. Thoughts?

But she finishes that statement with "I have a purpose, helping you fight the reapers."  I don't think Liara would ever do that, though.

That's my point. The way she says it, it sounds as though her honesty is conditional, like she needs that purpose to keep her from straying from ethical courses of action. There are other things in LotSB that put her moral character into question. She doesn't show any remorse for getting Sekat killed and she doesn't seem to care about the innocent people that got blown up or shot by Vasir or the Shadow Broker's soldiers.

Not at that point, no. But she clearly cares when she's standing in front of the Shadow Broker.

Shepard: "That bombing on Illium wasn't exactly subtle you know?"
Shadow Broker: "Extreme, but necessary"
Liara *upset*: "No it wasn't!"

Sort of. Jlb opted to have the ME2 thread moved here but Priestly said to make a new thread instead. And before she could create a new one, this one was already up.:P

LOL!!!!! Or calling to Vasir every two seconds as Shepard moves up the building like she is a rookie. "Vasir I can't get through!" WTF?????? Image IPB

Maybe was an attempt from Shepard to actually be friendly to another Spectre before this one dies

Spectres tend to die when close to eachother, the VS have my prayers for ME3

Let's hope that Liara never makes spectre! Image IPB

Or Garrus:whistle:

@Pockles
Me either, but my Shepard didn't want to work with Cerberus either.  Some choices are out of our hands and I'm okay with that.

This did make me

Shepard's crazy driving paid off this time.

Lol, I love the face.
Since we are on the subject of Vasir, there was a picture I've been wanting to post for like ever! But never got the opportunity to.
Not sure if it's a bit much so I will post a Link: fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/019/a/f/azure_vol_5_tela_vasir_by_manuccio-d36h9g4.jpg
I wonder if Shep can convince Liara to pose for that magazine. :o

She was honest about what she did and that she would do it again. Where I struggle is was her quest honorable to start with? She wanted absolute revenge against the Shadow Broker and that concerns me. It left her so focused that she even left Shep's butt on the concrete without a look back. Does that concern my Shepard? Yes. Revenge is a poison and I hated that she was consumed by it.

But until ME3 is released I won't know if Liara (romanced or not) is closer to the light then the dark when all is said and done. I am hopeful that she will be in a better place. God only knows what all she did in the 2 years while you were gone. Image IPB

Like you said, Liara in this instance is obsessed with revenge. What you're seeing is not her real character. The real Liara is the one you see after Lotsb, with her thirst for revenge now sated, she can think clearly again and be the real Liara again. I do not know what would happen if, say, Cerberus killed Feron during their attack on the SB base. I do hope Feron leaves the base before that. I wouldn't want Liara now obsessed with getting revenge against Cerberus..:?

Of course she did. Why? What are those other people thinking about?=]

I'm not worried about Liara being obessed with getting revenge against Cerberus.  It's what my Shepard wants to do anyway.   I've been wanting to take out TIM since I realized he lied about Liara working for the Shadow Broker.  It seems to me that he is wanting to keep Shepard and Liara apart.

Leia Shepard isn't having any of that.

I think Tim only lied because he wants Shepard to focus on the Collectors, pretty much the emigre of Mass Effect 2 plot is making the team focus only on the Collector mission, you are not 100 percent focused when you have a partner waiting for you. He even asks if Shepard has put app past relations behind because there is a good chance they will not be coming out alive. Honesty, I think he had a good reason that.

liara tossing those guys aside was totally bada**. i try to rationalize the situation by pretending she caught those troopeers off guard but it doesnt work, theres no way talk around their sheilds being up and make sense

i really wish ME games had a 'surprise' mechanic where biotics work against sheilds and barriers when you catch bad guys not payin attention; that could balance the adepts need to be bada** and still work on higher difficulties

i play hardcore or insanity 90% of the time, only crank it down for the CB and horizon [i hate scions and collectors especially when its close quarters and shep has no where to hide and recharge health and sheilds

Actually it's the other way around. The barriers only use power when damaged, there doesn't seem to be an upkeep so keeping your shields turned on doesn't seem to hinder you. When a soldier isn't in battle at this moment, does that mean they take off their bulletproof vests only to put them on when they come under fire? I sure hope not.

Kinetic barrier (shields) lore is clear, they only work against physical objects like shrapnel and bullets. Stronger shields deflect heavier objects. There is absolutely no reason why shields would stop a biotic attack, same as armor. A biotic throw should go right through both armor and shields. The only defence that should be able to stop biotics is a biotic barrier (makes sense yes?). This would make playing a biotic class a more tactical choice as biotics would be better at resisting biotic attacks than their soldier or tech counterparts.

But you can do the DLC before the SM.  My Shepard told TIM her personal business wasn't his business.  Shepard knows what's at stake.  Or at least my Shepard does.

But TIM lied to Shep before that DLC ever came about. So, Minos assumptions could be valid nevertheless. The DLC just made any feeling one may add to that aspect of the plot from the DLC as ancillary, and not so much a corollary.

Liara always had a cold edge. I'm trying to remember what exactly she said after battles in ME1, but it was very cold, and dismissive. It always made me laugh, because she was this scientist who was able to be such a cold killer as well.

She's sweet and flutters her eyes at Shep, and she's new to love, but she's dangerous as hell. In terms of actual abilities (singularity and stasis), as opposed to "text", she is also the strongest biotic squadie in the game except for a biotic Shep, far more powerful than Jack or Samara.

Especially in ME1, Shep reduces her to an uncertain young women in first love, but outside that, she's no shrinking violet. She is cold and violently effective when necessary.

Yet when you run over one of those monkey things with a Mako she comments how humans are violent. :P
But yes I tried not to take her along with Kaidan because she usually represents the renegade choices when Kaidan represents paragon ones.
But yes some of her quotes are like: "Finally, some action!" And I'm like, whoa Liara, easy there. :D
Edit:
Relevant picture! :D
