As a matter of clarification; I made the red-eyed Liara pictures.

And as you might guess; I am no Liara hater. I just made them in the dismal months waiting for LoTSB whilst entertaining the whimsy that the Reapers would target Liara for indoctrination due to her connection with Shepard.

And because I thought it looked cool.

Speaking of indoctrination of squadmates... that would be such a cheap way to add drama to the story, and i really hope they dont go into that route

That makes two of us. Indoctrinating squadmembers would be such a weak and predictable plot twist. I can see Andersson ending up indoctrinated from spending the entire ME3 game on earth in the vicinity of the attack Reapers. Having to kill the one person who appeared most like a mentor to Shepard at the end of ME3 would be plenty of drama, I certainly don't need to see indoctrinated squad members...

Indoctrination as it is seen in ME1 and Arrival I think should be generally kept away from in regards to squadmates and tools for drama. However; I think the Retribution method of indoctrination via nanites could potentially be interesting.

Damn. Was going to recording re-install ME2 to see if I could fix the sound going out of sync in cutscenes. Only to find out that I cant install ME2 again.

Was going to play and record LOTSB.

Nothing, it just stops dead at 33,4. No progress being made, and it also sounds like the disk just stops spinning inside the PC.

that happened to my Civilizations 4 once and it was because a few files where believed to be remaining but when i checked it was not there. i had to reformat it a few months later for another reason but i got it to work again but there should be an easier way.

oh a little diffrent it seems since you just added mine started the instale but it stopped and said files allready exsiste.

Have you tried to install some other game, to make sure if the problem is in the computer and not in that ME2 disc. If it fails to install that other game too you could for example try to connect DVD drive from that old pc you mentioned to that new one, assuming that you're using desktop instead of laptop of course.

EDIT: have you cleaned you registry files for example with CCleaner to make sure there aren't any old registry files or old installs left in you computer

What's the condition of your disk? If it's in good condition, then the problem could be related to your actual drive.

Just to make sure that isn't the case, you could try disconnecting your DVD drive and swapping it with the one from your old computer and see if that one can install the game.
