The way I see it she won't really need another job to sustain a proper life after her time as the shadow broker. Judging from her apartment on Illium and the fact that it seems the Shadow Broker is quite wealthy (dealing in stocks everywhere and selling information can do that to you I suppose) by the time of ME3 she already has all the credits she needs. I'd rather she takes some time off (preferably with Shepard of course) and do some travelling. Much like Roland posted above.

After all of it's over, I don't see Liara going back to archaeology. The way I see it she only went there because of her interest in the Protheans. With the mystery of the Protheans pretty much solves (Didn't invent mass effect technology, didn't create the citadel didn't build the mass relays, were destroyed by the reapers) I don't see why Liara would want to go back there. No, I'd much sooner see her go into the information broker business again than studying Protheans.

I could see Liara eventually becoming a Matriarch like Benezia (minus the indoctrination), in an Oprah Winfrey full circle moment kind of way.

I agree that she probably will not have to worry about supporting herself or the T'Soni-Shepard clan and I don't see her going back to the solitary life she led before meeting Shepard.

I think Liara going back to archaeology is one possibility for after ME3. I always imagined my colonist Shepard having an interest in science when she was young so she'd happily join Liara on dig sites instead of continuing a career in the Alliance. I'm hoping we'll get to learn about more of Liara's interests in ME3, I wonder what she likes to do outside of work.

Here is what I see, if the SB base gets destroyed, I can see Liara going back to Illium and continue to be an information broker. She seems to enjoy that type of work and it very good at her job. If the base isn't destroyed, I see her going back to Hagalaz.

I can also see her keeping SB info even if the base is destroyed and still using those contacts or resources while in Illium.

A vacation is definitely in order. I wonder if the asari have honeymoons... Posted Image

Perhaps, but there's so much we still don't know about them -- and how many other races have come and gone thanks to the Reapers? Learning about their histories and cultures would feel like rescuing just a little bit of what they were from their annihilations. My Shepard's had enough death to last an asari lifetime. While he'll never turn his back on people in need, I can easily see him trying to convince Liara to walk away from the shooting business.

Then again, who says they can't have both? I can also imagine Liara smiling and telling Shepard "even the savior of the galaxy needs a hobby." Posted Image

2 weeks after Shepard and Liara got married, Shepard is sitting on the couch in their new home on Illium, searching the extranet. Liara walks by and wonders; Shepard doesn't use the extranet all that often. "What's he doing?" She thinks...

Liara: "Shepard.. what are you doing?"
Shepard: "Just checking the extranet, see if there are some nice places we can visit for our honeymoon"
Liara: "A honeymoon? What's that?"
Shepard: "Oh it's.. I suppose it's a human tradition when a just married couple goes on vacation together"
Liara: "We Asari don't really have honeymoons."
Shepard: "You do now. Wow [Insert planet name] is lovely this time of the year"

I like Liara because she really feels like a person when you talk to her.

Besides the 'thanks for coming by' in LotSB.

Not to sound like a smug Liara fanboy, but was there ever any doubt?  ;)

After reading one of the messages in ME2 from Chorban and Liara's knowledge, I think those two could be key in stopping the Reapers.  Chorban has figured out stuff that you learn through out the game and stuff Liara said as well.

Is it March yet?

Cheers for the link. I was surprised though, I expected the VS to take centre stage or even the new people. Not that I'm complaining the more screen time for Liara the better.

so, a quick question regarding Liara's model in ME3:

In the squadmates page, she had the pinkish lips, looking more like a ME-LotSB fusion. However, when looking closely at the reaper base demo, the same model as in LotSB is used, with the blue lips. Which one will it be?

I saw that and went YESSSSSSSSSSSSS and scared my cats.  :o  My canon femShep never punched her, but she might in ME3.  :bandit:

I already figured Liara would have once again a major role.  I think she could be key to stopping the reapers.  She was key in stopping Saren and his"Geth".  Put that in quote for the stupids on the Council.

No, I'm not really surprised. I mean why make this kickass DLC for her character arc and then ignore her.
But I'm starting to ask myself if Liara will put herself in danger or sacrifice herself. I have a feeling there will be something in ME3.

What you said makes me wonder if she isn't Shep's LI if that will have an impact.  I know I will do everything in my power to keep her alive in all my games.  Well, maybe not one, that Shep is ticked off at her about him being with Cerberus.

I have three different Shepards with Liara as the LI.   Ah, the possibilites.

We don't know for sure yet but given the E3 footage my money is on a fusion of all her looks thus far with pinky/purple lips and the LotSB face texturing. It could all be placeholder stuff though. The game hasn't been polished yet.

Casey Hudson did respond to TMA's topic didn't he? I can't find the tweet right now but from the sound of it, Casey planned on using a combination of Liara's Lotsb looks and her ME1 look. He did state the Liara we saw in the E3 footage isn't the final version. I'm fine with it just please PLEASE don't take away those eyes...

On second thought, maybe it would be better if they did change it, my Shepard would be way too distracted by those eyes Liara's looks, even during intense combat. :pinched:

Edit: Found the tweet about Liara's ME3 face model. Here it is.

I tweeted to keep "'dem eyes" so they better keep "'dem eyes" because I said so.

Edit: Because everyone loves "'dem eyes".
Edited cuz I sounded selfish there or something Idunno. Maybe I'll correct this personally tomororw.

I've got to say, I don't really care what Liara looks like as she accepts my weird looking Shepard with her messed up eyes but those deep blue eyes are just heart stopping.
