Liara, not because i like her, but because she's a young asari that could be a bridge for future games. Is the most logical option

I wonder if Mac Walters'  question is a trick. And whoever gets the most votes will get killed.

Y'know, I love Liara as much as any of you. But I gotta say, I'm not a fan of that red and purple dress she wears during the romance scene from LOTSB. It's just the neckline is just way too low for me. Or is it called a collar, I'm not sure. Whatever that is it just seems far to low. The level of the green one is much better.

Like Jack Sparrow would say if he were here: "You know, that dress totally doesn't suit you. It has to be armor or nothing. I happen to have no armor for you in my cabins...":pinched:

And because she deserves to live.

She's the only character that was actually drawn in to the conflict. Garrus, Wrex, Tali, Ashley and Kaidan all proposed to join Shepard - Ashley and Kaidan are marines, they belonged with the Normandy. Miranda and Jacob were put on his team. All the other squad members of ME2 apart from Legion were recruited for their incredible skill in battle. Legion offered to join Shepard. Did I miss someone? Why yes I did. Liara is the only one who didn't have combat experience before being recruited and didn't ask to join. She was literally dragged out of her comfortable (not so comfortable when we meet her but still) life as an archeologist and into a galactic conflict for survival the likes of which was never seen by either human or Asari.

Of course I can't stay objective when talking about Liara but she is the closest to an innocent victim in this entire war as we're going to see on our team. Liara is the one squad member who deserves survival the most, simply because she never asked for all of this - though I'm glad to have her at my side at the end now...

I thought that BW have said, those who stayed loyal to their LI in ME2 will be rewarded. Getting your LI killed wouldn't be a very good reward. But of course everything is still possible.

I believe he's just curious with the answers. Big plot decisions is not something to ask the fans

Still I don't think BioWare would let such a popular character (and they well know of Liara's popularity) die an unavoidable death. If something happens to her, it'll be Shep's own fault. And these faults can be corrected by a reload. Worst case scenario: Having to replay ME1 and 2 to alter a descision to make Liara survive in ME3. But hey... I'll do anything to have Liara survive without hesitation...

I agree with that. I think that you are able to save your LI despite the fact who s/he is, at least ME1 LIs. It would be really infuriating, that you've been loyal to your LI all this time and then BW is like 'sry bro, no can do, s/he's dead' and there's nothing you can do about it. That would really suck and I don't believe they're going to do that. But of course the question is, at what cost you are able to save your LI? What's at stake could depend on those choices you've made in ME1 and ME2 and naturally in ME3 itself.

I think those that were unfaithful Image IPB to their ME1 LI, those LI will die in ME3.  The load screen saying being unfaithful did say "dire" consequence.

Seriously, how can you really cheat on Liara?

Don't you think that's a bit harsh? How is someone supposed to know a game ahead of time that they prefer their ME2 LI?

Harsh?  What the LI from ME1 dying?  I'm a little confused.

It may be that you get a chance to solve the entire situation but if you resolve it in a bad way, then either LI may get themselves killed. Sounds strange but that's what happened in ME2 as well. Fire team leader got shot in the stomach when at the doors. If loyal he/she survives, if unloyal he/she dies. Same with the two people you take to the human-reaper. If loyal, they survive same as Shepard. If unloyal they somehow die.

I can totally see this happening in ME3. Cheating on someone and then treating them poorly might have consequences.

Or they could just yell at you and not talk for the rest of the game. Seems much more in keeping with the place of romance in the series.

All I am saying is what is said on the load screen in ME2 about it. I really wish I had a screen shot for it, but I do not.

It does say dire consequences if you are unfaithful. To me dire can be death to that character. Not having them talk to you isn't dire in my view.

Remember how they talked up the consequences before LOTSB and you got an extra line of dialogue? Expect more of same.

I dont know what would happen, but even with Lotsb you can still keep cheating on Liara after you made it good with her.

If, just if, the ME1 LI dies because Shep was unfaithful, could be explain as this one wasnt concentrated enough or something like that

I remember a loading screen saying that choices from ME2 will have dire consequences in ME3. It wasn't talking about relationships specifically.
The only talk I can remember about faithfulness came from Devs on twitter or BSN.

So you'd be cool with Liara saying nothing to you for the whole game? :o
