All I am saying is what is said on the load screen in ME2 about it. I really wish I had a screen shot for it, but I do not.

It does say dire consequences if you are unfaithful. To me dire can be death to that character. Not having them talk to you isn't dire in my view.

I remember a loading screen saying that choices from ME2 will have dire consequences in ME3. It wasn't talking about relationships specifically.
The only talk I can remember about faithfulness came from Devs on twitter or BSN.

I need to record my next playthrough of ME2.  I've done well over 20 and I'm about 100% sure the dire was mentioned during the being unfaithful to your ME1 LI.

I give up! For whatever reasons, the parts that I recorded (without trouble) from LOTSB winds up being laggy, unsyncronised crap when I finally watch it. :pinched:

It just seems my new laptop, Fraps and Mass effect just wont work together in an orderly manner.

"EDIT"

Gotta have some blue.

I had a pretty awesome dream last night.

I was in the role of my Shepard and it was basically the key points of ME2. However the squad was basically me and Liara. It wasn't one of those freaky sex dreams but it was just me and her kicking some ass and taking names. Turns out she is a fan of chocolate fudge cake and likes mint flavoured milkshakes.

Indeed on both counts. It says "The choices you make in Mass Effect 3 could have dire ramifications in Mass Effect 3" saying nothing about LI's in particular. The devs stated on, I think it was twitter, that cheating on a LI would have consequences at the worst possible moment. I don't think a LI would actually die but since every LI you can cheat on will be in ME3 some way and probably have a certain mission with which they'll help (You can't cheat on dead people so naturally this won't apply if one of your LI's died).

Most logical outcome: The mission in which the LI you cheated on plays a prominent role may fail dramatically.

Assuming for a moment that there would be time for a "meet the folks" moment in ME3, what do you think Spacer Shep's Hannah Shepard would think of Liara?

I think she would feel uneasy at first, perhaps a bit passive-aggressive towards Liara, with her main concern being the possibility that Shepard had fallen for her because she was an asari, rather than a person he liked..

It probably has more to do with your laptop than anything else, especially if you are capturing a large resultion.

That's kind of weird... If I had a dream in which I was Shepard, I'd try my best to go back to the hours before Ilos:whistle:

Hannah Shepard seemed like a very decent person, judging from the talk you had with her in ME1 and the kind of friendly email she sent in ME2. Even though she thought her son/daughter dead for 2 years, in the email she was more relieved than angry.

I think she'd accept Shepard being with Liara without question. Maybe asking Femshep if she wouldn't rather have a male human (every mother wants grand kids eventually right?) and not knowing any gender Shepard/Liara could also have kids.=]

Problem is. There are other parts of the game that I can record where it works 100% fine. So I am not sure if it the computer.

It was more of an on the rails dream than a controlled dream if you get what im saying lol.

So has everyone got their ME3 carry over save or are they going to play ME1 and ME2 again before release to get what they want? In other words, have you got your canon saves yet?

She will not accept Liara immediattly (like I would imagine her doing with Ash/Kaidan). But I could imagine her in the end coming to terms with her child choosing to be with an Asari and accept Liara. After she finally gets to know her better,

My 4th playthrough will be ready for import into ME3 in a few minutes. Will be doing the cabin scene now then make a final save. That makes for a soldier, engineer, adept and now a sentinel.

Will I play ME1 and 2 again before march 9th? As Shale would say: "Yes. Very likely". I'm still in need for a vanguard and an infiltrator Shep and I want to build all of them from scratch, meaning a new Shepard starting in ME1 for every class.

Maybe you can try to close other programs before, like the antivirus (after you disconnect the internet), those are ones that use lots of resources. And click or unclick the "dont sync audio and video" on Fraps

I'm thinking of starting again with a Vanguard, Earthborn, War Hero Shepard. Will probably go paragon as most my Shepards are renegade because of the nice little moment where he kicks the guy out of the window while on Illium lol. Although i'm torn on whether or not I should save the Council...i'm leaning towards no because I have saved them in all my past playthroughs and it would be nice to save a chunk of humanities fleet to defend Earth.

I still need to create a canon game where I make everything "perfect" for ME3, so far I've never done a perfectionist playthrough so I'm going to have to get round to doing that.

edit - good lord my formatting was awful there =]

The only other program that I had running in the background was my antivirus program. Althrough I am not sure how to shut it down, seems to run in the background by default.

Already got my canon playthrough ready. Althrough I might do a replay of both ME1 and ME2 before ME3 is released (and get myself back into the ME mood! ).

On the topic of cheating, I don't think that cheating on Liara will have a significant impact. I know BioWare and ME2 try to tell that it will, but at the end of LotSB, Liara, while disappointed, seems to be quite OK with you and your new LI, even going so far as to wish both of you happiness.

None of my playthroughs are 100% paragon or 100% renegade. Though I always try to pick the descisions I think will give me the best chance later. So no real surprises in this playthrough although this time I chose to take the paragon route on Zaeeds LM so I saved the workers instead of getting to Vito fast. Also for the first time I had Garrus spare Sidonis. After seeing how mad Zaeed got when I let Vito go I was a little worried this would ruin my bromance with Garrus but that ending was so much better actually. Think I'll never have him kill Sidonis again in future playthroughs.

Strangely, my very first ME1 playthrough, who became my first ME2 playthrough, will be the first i'll be importing to ME3, thats my big cannon and wich has all the options i wanted/felt right from the start (i'm a completionist)

Besides the ones i have ready, i'll complete about 2 more and i think i'm ready for march

In this case you are NOT cheating. She only wishes you happiness if you chose to stay friends with her. If you get into a romance with her again, she does not mention your new LI during the cabin scene. If at this point you have a ME2 LI there's a very good chance she'll do something about it in ME3. She certainly wasn't happy about Shepard's cheating if you confronted her after the fight with Vasir remember?

Try with the task manager (Ctrl+alt+supr) and search in the processes for it, you can close it that way.

I always do that before playing, so i dont have lag from time to time when the antivirus check the current running programs. Also the fps are better when i'm recording

Just finished this 'perfect' playthrough something like a week ago. All the decisions I wanted are there and that'll be the one I'm going to start ME3 with. Or at least that's the plan at the moment, since there's still 6 months untill ME3 comes out, that means there's gonna be plenty of time to make one more playthrough :P

My current transferable save is a perfectionist save. All possible missions completed, even the item collections from the various planets during ME1 lol. I expect my final save to be a perfectionist save just so I cover all the bases in terms of having things appear in ME3.

Thats my issue aswell lol. I want to do another playthrough as my FINAL playthrough although I can see it being my last but one playthrough give the amount of time to go lol.

btw, with Mass Effect 1 do squad mates have dialogue on side missions? Because I take Liara on pretty much every single major quest but I can't remember whether the side missions had squaddie dialogue too.

There are dialogue between squadmates, but very few.
