Yes, Liara says this when you visit the first time and she tells you what she found out. That the SB knew the Collectors use to be Protheans and why the SB was willing to help against Saren.JKFerg wrote...

So I was just curious. At the end of ME3 would you guys rather see Liara continue her Shadow Brokering/information gathering ways, or see her return to being a scientist.
I prefer the latter. It could be just me but I liked it when she was more geeky and awkward........
She says being the Shadow Broker is a dream job. Everyone likes a happy Liara.
Really? I didn't remember her saying that but it's been awhile since I've played. Guess it's time for another playthrough. I guess I just miss the little moments like when I told her I didn't want her disecting me and she got all embarressed and cute.
Shepard says, "You know, we can just crash this thing and walk away." That is when Liara says it's a dream job and feels like she belongs there, although the location could be better. Everytime I hear her say that, I'm like no kidding, Liara. Flying in that storm all day every day would get old rather quickly.
I always assumed that the scene where Liara is crying after you defeat the SB that she was crying because she knew she was going to take over and knew it was going to be a huge sacrifice on her part. But then if she says it was a dream job then that wouldn't make sense.

I vote option 3: Liara leaves working behind for a while (plenty of money coming in from having been an information broker for 2 years then shadow broker for 6 months) and joins Shepard on a nice long holiday.

The dream job happens after the mission complete screen. I think those are tears of relief. Like she can't believe it's finally over.JKFerg wrote...

You're right that is better than either option I gave.

Pockles, you literally have the galaxy at your finger tips, you are the most powerful being, respected and feared. You know everything down to the very last detail, you saw Udina make gay love to an elcor, you saw Aria create a childrens home, you know the entire history of vey species, you can get what you want, when you want. You won't be happy with this at all? You could send your own men to raid womens or mens clothing so you can rummage, sniff, lick, wear anything, the possibilities are endless, you have everything.
No, I wouldn't. I understand the appeal though.
To think that one person could have that kind of power scares me, to be honest.

And that is why it's better that the Shadow Broker base does not survive ME3. As long as Shepard is around, Liara will stay honest. But since those with power never fail to abuse it, once Shepard is gone eventually Liara won't stay on the honest path. That base has got to go in ME3!

Or Shepard could just kill TIM. Take over Cerberus and rule the underworld of the galaxy together with Liara! :innocent:

I have some odd feeling that Miranda could take over Cerberus. I think she'll do a better job than TIM.

Oohh, like KOTOR's dark side ending where Revan and Bastila kill Malak and then take over and rule their dark empire together as Master/apprentice and lovers (D'aww how sweet) . I like it! Though most of my Shep's are paragon so they wouldn't feel much for this idea.

I like to think this picture sums up Liara being the SB when the agents start flipping out about the lost feed. She seems unsure at first then just goes for it.
Of course this is when we get that great shot of her eyes.

But what do you do when you can do anything? What do you learn when you know everything? What's there to having everything at your fingertips? That's not living, guy. That's barely freedom; that's godhood
You go, you find, you learn, and, maybe, you set yourself a goal. That's living, buddy
Forget divinity. Nobody wants that

If they had the resources and money to know everything they would be immortal invisible people because reapers and any enemy could easily be killed by nollege. no they only know every fact that is known at that time not the answers to future questions, tech, etc.
Liara need more liara pics...

QFT^2. TIM's got it coming (and "it," in this case, is a fully-charged Collector Particle Beam to the face after I unload the Warp and Overload pain on him). After that...give him to Jack. Liara and Shep can grab some popcorn and watch. Do not mess with Liara. Paragon or Renegade, Shepard will end you.ladyvader wrote...

...the thing that really annoys me is, it's a stupid lie. How is Shepard not going to find out?
