Aethyta also confirms it herself. She said 'We need to get our daughters working earlier, not spending their wild maiden years stripping or in merc bands'. And when she talked about changing that, they laughed the blue of her ass(). You may not want to go as far as to call Liara special. But the proof is right there I think.

Aethyta has to be so proud of Liara

I think she is.  Too bad we didn't get to see her face in the video of her looking at Liara's picture.  I would like to see Aethyta face.  It could be very telling on how she feels.

Anyone notice it's the same picture that Shepard has?  Any guess on who put the picture of Shepard's LI in Shepard's quarters?  It was there before Shepard stepped foot on the Normandy SR-2.

Im guessing either Joker or Dr. Chakwas since they are the only left overs from the first Normandy on the ship at that point.  It sounds like something Dr. Chakwas would do IMO.

TOP (For some reason Im having trouble adding a picture here, someone help me out please.)

I always assumed my Shep pull it out from a magical hat that contained some of her possessions.
But a more logical explanation could be Chakwas or Joker, Chakwas more likely.
I dont think Cerberus would have done that, TIM wanted Shep to let past relationships behind him/her

Edit:

Shouldn't be a problem, simply write [img]Link of picture and remove the space and it should work.

That is what I think too.

Especially when it comes to Liara.  TIM does not want Shepard near her for some odd reason.  What he said about her was a complete lie and he knew it was when he said it.  Gawd, I hate that guy.

Do we know for a fact TIM lied?

The appeal of marriage, old age, and blue kiddies is fairly prevalent here. My Shepard wants to spend the rest of her life putting hypervelocity rounds through the heads of bad guys, she knows she'll probably end up dying young, and wants nothing to do with children. Is she alone in this?

About Liara?  Yes, he had her get Shepard's body from the Shadow Broker.  He knew she was not working for the SB, but looking for the SB.  Which is why Cerberus gave Shepard the intel of the leaked transmission of SB agents so Shepard could give to Liara.

My Shepard retires after the war is over.  She wants to settle down with Liara and start a family.  Not everyone wants this, but my Shepard does.  Or I should say my canon Shepard.

Any good points in ME2 where I can take some epic screenshot of Liara for my wallpaper? Internet is devoid of anything in 1920x1080 res.

As a male Shep player I could complain about that wallpaper talking about Shepard as a female. But seriously you've done such a great work with that and put time and effort into it, there's no way I'm going to say anything bad about that wallpaper. Really good work! :)

Doubtful, but it seems you are a minority to say the least. I find the idea rather astonishing because such a choice has never been in a video game (for me.) My shep wants to settle down. He's tired of all this crap he's been through.

You can marry either Alistar or Anora in DA:O if your warden is a human Noble orgin.  Outside of Fable series, those are the only two games where you can marry.  That I know of anyway.  There could be others that I don't know about.

My canon Shepard is tired of having the weight of the entire galaxy on her shoulders. Which is the reason she resigns from being a Spectre and the Alliance.  Kaidan can take over the Normandy and use it for his Spectre duties.

I don't know if I actually want to marry in game.  I'm leaning more keeping it within people's fanfic.  But if there is a DLC about it, I would get it.  That way people that don't want that for their Shepard could skip it easier than if it was in the actual game itself.

Yes. He enlisted Liara's help on Omega in retrieving Shepard's body (Redemption), then told Shepard that he has intel stating that she's working for the Shadow Broker (beginning of 2). He can't possibly not know that's a lie. It's also a stunningly idiotic lie, seeing how it was inevitable that Shepard would find out (two of his dossiers lead to the same city that Liara's set up shop as an info broker). He's too stupid to live.

For my Shepard it would be kinda same. Resigning from spectre duties and the alliance, at least from active duty. In that point you've defeated Saren and his Geth, Sovereign, the Collectors and the Reapers. You've saved the galaxy, the rest, rebuilding it and such is up to others, my Shep has done his part. The first thing will be a long holiday with Liara, but I can't imagine him sitting on his ass the rest of his life. So I think he could for example help to orginize some kind of intergalactic threaty organization or like galactic UN to really unite the galaxy and to create lasting peace. Or he could do some other military or political stuff that aims at preserving peace throughout the galaxy. Or then if Liara goes back into information broking business or what ever she decides to do, Shepard could just help her, work as her bodyguard or assistant or something, just be there with and for her. I'm not really sure about that working part yet, but he has to do something not just sit on his ass that's for sure.

I think that it would be wonderful to have Liara and Shepard's marriage in the end of the game, but it needs to be optional, so there's marriage if you want, if you don't then no marriage. Just to make sure that the ending fits in every Shepard's story.

I personally never thought he lied. Liara was in the informtion game meaning that she would have had to work with the shadow broker at some points. Since she was trying to get close to him she would have "appeared" to be a semi-ally. I don't think she would have been going around in the information brokerage world saying "I'm going to find him and kill him." No other informant would have come close to her.

The Shadow Broker was not a "known" enemy when ME2 came out. So hearing that Liara was working for him meant nothing other than she could not be trusted regarding CERBERUS. Not a bad thing in my book.

No you are not alone about the not wanting blue babies. My Shepard is not looking to get "hitched".

The way of the warrior is found in death. It means to see things through, and be resolved. My Shepard takes that particular philosophy to heart.

Some do like to refer to TIM as the Incompentent Man.  His lie about Liara was just the beginning of the  lies he told Shepard.  Shepard was nothing more than a tool to him to be used at his whim.  Which is one of many reasons why I think Cerberus is after Shepard in ME3.

I love Liara's reaction about Cerberus when you do the cabin scene before the SM.  Shepard tells her that TIM set up Horizon to get hit, Liara says, "That bastard"  Which he is.

I still think TIM set Liara up to be the Shadow Broker even though that was not her original plan.  Or was hoping she would take over.  He is keeping an eye on them.

Of all the people that is a Shepard stalker, which there is a group of people that think Liara is a stalker, it's TIM.  That guy has been watching Shepard for a while.  From the comments at the very beginning of ME2 to the mission complete page after finishing the LotSB DLC.

At first you don't know it's a lie until you see Liara and learn about her and the Shadow Broker deal to sell Shepard's body to the collectors.  And her giving Shepard's body to Cerberus.  TIM lied and he knew it was a lie when he said it.  He only lied about Liara and TIM is keeping an eye on their relastionship.  Why is still unclear to me.  TIM didn't seem to have a problem with Shepard being friends with Wrex, Garrus, or Tali.  Just Liara.

And that pisses my canon Shepard off.

Did the comic come out before or after the release of ME2?  I just got it a couple of months ago as a TPB.  If it came out before, those that read it knew TIM was lying.

I still think tossing TIM in the Varren pit would be fitting. The vid of that Salarian going into the pit was perhaps the most gruesome ME death I've seen in the game.
