Okay.  Whew.  I think I tweeted Liara.  I was looking for his Kelly comment about feeding the fish and couldn't find it.  Because I wasn't sure what that meant and I found that disturbing.

But can you call it cheating if you have an ME2 affair with, maybe Garrus, breakup after the SM and then play LotSB?

Doubtful. If the save you import into ME3 contains no active ME2 romance, then you're not cheating me thinks.. The same should be true for playing Lotsb with a save where you have no LI other than Liara.

Oh yes she does.  If you do the DLC before the SM, you've not cheated on her yet.  If you do the DLC after the SM, Liara gets very snippy about it during the 3rd interrupt.

The Thane comment is harsh, "Now, you're trying to take the place of a dying man wife."
I had one of my 11 canon femSheps with Thane and I swear I don't remember doing.  And when I did the DLC for that file and recorded it and I was like OH crap, WTF did I do.  I still fell very guilty about it.  Needless to say, that file will not be imported.

If you don't do the interrupt kiss and ask Liara about your relastionship with her, she mentions that Shepard has someone and that she wants Shapard to be happy, but maybe in the furture they can get back together.  Then you can tell Liara you want to still be with her.  Then she wants no conflicts.  

If you do the kiss interrupt, Liara acts like Shepard isn't with anyone.

She actually says she wants no conflicts? That really means she expects Shepard to break up with his/her current ME2 asap and will increase the chance of Liara getting furious about cheating in ME3.

Doing the kiss interrupt just affirms Sheps feelings for Liara and seems to be enough confirmation for her. Again she'll probably be pissed in ME3 if you cheated on her..

We dont know if that file when imported to ME3, will have a flag that you had something with Garrus. If the pic went down in a moment of your game i think it will count as cheating

But is complicated, because it seems you can make everything fine with Liara in Lotsb, as far as we know. Also could be your ex-ME2 LI makes conflict in ME3 then

So just to clarify, Liara has a reaction in LotSB post-SM if you're with Kelly - yes/no?

Mind you after my first playthrough I don't really even bother talking to Kelly, only reason me and some of my friends were tempted to go for her is because she's really easily accessible considering you'll bump in to her before you go on a mission every single time.

If you break it off with the ME2 LI the picture comes back up.  I thought maybe that was the case with just Liara after the DLC, but I went back to a Shep with Ash that went with Miranda.  I went back after the SM and broke it off with Miranda, Ash's pic came back up.  I think the pic being up or down will be the trigger for faithful or not in ME3.  Or I hope so anyway.

No, Liara does not mention Kelly.  Period.  Like I said before.  Having Kelly do the dance does not affect the picture which I believe is the trigger.

The info you posted was totally new, I will try it if one day I play a Renegade. About Thane, I got something similar, the first time I carelessly played DLC, after the Omega4 relay, I got the"..dying man's wife" spat; very confusing.

Talking about affairs, Dr. Shiala seemed interested in Shepard...if only Liara knew...

It's part of Shep's charm. It appears Gianna Parasini has a little thing for Shepard as well.

Meld is a wonderful thing but it can also backfire on you if you are a cheating bastard.

And yes, if you helped Gianna during ME1 and ME2 she gives you a kiss. Shepard is a ladies man, but all he really needs is just one blue lady.
