Why? What's so bad about it? It was fast and the weapons were strong enough to do some proper damage. Only problem I had with it was the incredibly small amount of damage it could soak up before blowing up....

Weapons were strong? The Hammerhead's combat capabilities were non-exsisting. It's missle were inaccurate and weak. Armor was paper thin.

Details! Details! Anyway I found the weapons to be pretty decent, once you knew how to aim they made short work of any enemy...

I actually liked the mako better than the hammerhead. Mako was nearly indestructible and an unlike with hammerhead, mako's guns shot straight, those damn guided missiles always miss. And I don't know maybe it was just the way they made it in ME1 but with mako when you could just drive around that planet it actually felt like a real world. With hammerhead there is only one rout you can take and you can use it only in Overlord and Firewalker DLCs, not throughout the whole game. Plus you could dismount the mako any time you wanted not just in specific spots. So maybe I just like mako better because ME1 gave you the feeling that you are driving in an actual world and you could return to Normandy any time you like and come back driving around any time you like. Have to admit though that driving mako was just terrible, if they could give it some kind of steering upgrade it would be perfect:lol:

I actually like the guided missiles because I got good at aiming them.  Jump spam trigger repeat.  Geth never stood a chance.   I usually drove the Mako and rammed Geth with it and kept going(Therum and Noveria).

Ahh good times, good times! Ramming a Geth armature or colossus with the Mako was always satisfying. I usually got out and killed the geth - and all other enemies -  on foot (after lowering their health with the mako) just so I could get the normal xp rate.

Nah, My level 60 Shep (canon femShep) needs no stinking XP points.  She rams and keeps going. :P

I prefer the Hammerhead. It was fast, and you could actually maneuver with the damn thing. No more driving up sheer cliffs. Loved it.

Not sure what it has to do with Liara, though.

Well have to say about those guided missiles that the good thing with them was that you were able to shoot the geth behind obstacles and such things, just aim to the sky and stay behind someting and you could take the geth out without risking getting that weak hammerhead shot into pieces. But for me it was always difficult to get those missiles hit. Even if they were suppose to be guided they usually missed the target just a little bit, so you needed to find right kind of shooting angle in order to hit with them. And it is true that hammerhead is much more smoother to drive (or should I say hover) than mako was. But as I said it wasn't mako's "superior" driving abilities why I preferred it over the hammerhead, it was the way they made it in the ME1, it just felt more like a real world, even if it was extremely annoying trying to drive up and down those endless mountains:D

Hmm.. I'm afraid this is going off topic, so something blue would hit the spot right now

I've never even done a 2nd playthrough with an existing character. Every time I start ME1, I create a new character.Well unless I'm currently working on a playthrough of course, no need to create a new character then. Usually I reach lvl 56 by the end of ME1. That's enough for me. I don't care about those last 4 levels...

Yes.  It's a great picture.

It took me three playthroughs to hit 60.  I only have the one level 60 Shepard.  The most are one playthrough and import no matter the bonuses.  I did have another with two playthroughs and is at level 59.  I play on casual and only hit 49 then 59 on the 2nd time through.

I've played canon femShep five times on ME with another playthrough planned to fix something and because why the hell not.  This playthrough I'll do in Feb then import to ME2 to get ready for ME3.

Here is a weird question.  Does Liara or asari in general have a  middle name and if Liara has one what would it be?

I don't think she has one.

I've never thought about that. Do we actually know anything about how the asari recieve their names? They seem to have at least some kind of first and surnames. So lets take Liara for instance, is it that Liara is her first name and T'Soni is some sort of surname. Benezia was always called just Benezia or Matriarch Benezia so it's hard to tell if her full name was Benezia T'Soni or does someone else have more information about that? But I don't know, maybe she doesn't have a middle name. Not even every human has a middle name IRL.

Edit: Hahhah! how is this possible, I managed to write 5 lines of text, without really answering to your question? Oh well, maybe I should be a politician, because it looks like a have the skill of talking a lot without really saying anything:lol:

Throughout both ME and ME2, and the published literature, I never once saw an Asari that had a "middle" name. So I would assume that they don't actually use them. Some appear to adopt the Matriarch title as part of their name when they become matriarchs, while some just use their first name.

We don't hear about the human using their middle names either.  That doesn't mean they don't have one.  It seems once the asari become a Matriarch they drop the last name.  Every one of the writing you collect in ME had just what looked like to me anyway a first name after Matriarch.  Very few asari Shepard runs into has a last name that we know of.  Aria T'Loak and Nassana Dantius outside of Liara do we know their last name.

I love Liara, she is definitely my favourite character in the whole series.
I wonder if BW will make her even more cold than now, or will they choose to make her like old, sweet Liara that we all know from ME1? Because, you know, after Shadow Broker death, she might change a bit.
Or maybe they just leave her as she is now? Not bad idea in my opinion, but BW definitely likes changing their characters, less or more.

I have yet to meet an Asari who has a middle name, granted most asari are nameless but I doubt any Asari has a middle name. I like Liara T'soni as a name just fine though. With Liara obviously being her first name and T'soni her last name. Matriarchs seem to ignore their last name in favor of the 'Matriarch' title. Matriach Ladanya, Benezia, Aethyta etc.

I would have a hard time believing BioWare would make Liara have a more cold attitude in ME3. After Lotsb it appeared she took a dive to the paragon side once more and truly felt like the real Liara again. The setup of ME3 is, of course, a lot darker and I can see her remaining paragade - ish. Though I doubt she'll be as cold as in ME2, let alone colder than that.

Agree. I think she will stay more or less the same as she's at the end of Lotsb

I don't think Bioware will mess around with Liara's personality even more then they did.
I think the whole objective of LotSB was to establish that she is not the naive young asari that was resqued by Shepard anymore. I think Liara is in a good place right now, hopefully Bioware doesn't decide to change that.

I used to hate the Mako but now I love it. So long as you don't try to drive up ridiculously steep mountains the Mako is pretty good, the shields do take ages to charge but its better than the squishy hammerhead. The main annoying the about the Mako is getting one shotted by a Thresher Maw. I always imagine that Shepard would sing as she drives the Mako while everyone else complains about her driving. #If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?#

I got out of the Mako to take out the Thresher Maw.  Believe it or not.  Pain in the butt, but I ran stopped long enough to take a shot or two then ran some more.  I don't do that now after figuring out how to take it out in the Mako.

Liara will remember Shepard forever.

I miss the mako and open planets as well. Now after playing the game so many times most of the insane driving I originally did was dumb. There are ways to most objects that are easily driveable if you look. Only a few minerals are located in insane spots. Image IPB

My Shepard rarely drove .. Garrus, Tali, Ash were more apt to drive.

I've always wanted to try that but Liara said "No!" ... well that and I didn't think it was really possible to kill one on foot in ME1. Now I am going to have to leave Liara on the Normandy, take Wrex and Kaidan and shoot & run, shoot & run .... Image IPB
