If you dont invite her to the Normandy probably she just send the tags another way then, because Anderson throw the tags to Shep in the Earth demo, suggesting that they were taken away from him/her during the trial

I need to watch that again.  Because I missed that.  Derp on me.    Shepard did turn her/himself in to the Alliance.  That is something they would take.  Just like everything else on the Normandy.  Guess we get them back, but have to find them.

That part with the tags throwing was at the end of that demo, but i'm not sure if is online for all to see. I just had the luck to be in the close conference of Gamescom were they showed the whole video. The music is really amazing btw

Yep, those are indeed my favourite lines of that scene as well!

In regards to the dog tags, I had originally believed that Liara found them when she was tasked to find Shepard's body. Or, if Liara wasn't at the actual site of the crash, she managed (through her new contacts as SB, or simply through her personal contacts) to retrieve the dog tags from whoever was in possession of them at the time.

The latter I believe to be true, as it would explain why Hackett had them and Liara, if romanced, would attempt to retrieve them.

Either way, I don't believe this has a great deal of significance, if much at all, to the general storyline.

Wel apparently Shepards lose their ranks and then are reinstated, not sure if this is true but explains why Shepard gets their back. I hope there is a renegade choice to throw them back at him or atleast chuck them to the floor.

I RPed that Hannah didn't know until after the Reapers where defeated.  And was on Earth when Shepard and Kaidan met with Hackett and the Council.  After that meeting Hackett had a surprise for Shepard.  Her mom. 

When Shepard told her mom that there was someone special aboard the Normandy.  Hannah thought she was fraternizing with the crew and started to complain about it then stopped because she realized she was talking like her daughters CO and not as her mom.  

Hannah could tell how much her daughter cared for Liara just from that one converstation and when she took a tour of the Normandy and met Liara.  She liked her right away.  

That is how I RP in my story anyway.

My canon femShep is Alliance all the way.  Spacer kid and all.  She still tries to keep her mom proud of her even though after blowing up the Alpha Relay, that might be hard.  

I'm sure one of my other Shepards will tell the Alliance and Council to stuff it.

Something like that, if i remember right, when Shepard goes up into the Normandy, Anderson tells him that he will stay on Earth but that Shep has to go away from there, find a way to stop the reapers and gather allies. Shep answer him that he dont take orders from him anymore (he refuses to leave him), and then Anderson throw him his tags back saying is an order.
No renegade option to throw them back at him or to the floor at least not in that moment

Ah ok then, I never knew the whole situation, throwing the tags back would be just silly. So does that mean Shepard is reinstated, surely Anderson does not have the power to reinstate Shepard? A Shepard that isn't part of the military would of been interesting, civilians, squad members and other key characters questioning back Shepard or trying to change a choice.

Well, I have Hannah Shepard being okay with asari grandkids. But like I said, I'm sure others won't RP that way. My version she is opened minded enough to know her daughter is in a wonderful relationship with a wonderful person. That person just happens to be Dr. Liara T'Soni.

That opened mindedness was something Commander Shepard holds dear when it comes to other species. She knows humanity can't do this alone nor should they. They are part of the galaxy as a whole.

Ashley or Kaidan outranking Shepard and questionin their actions would of been interesting like I said, I would prefer it over reinstated Shepard.

Ashley is a Lt.  And does not outrank Shepard.  Kaidan does though.  I am wondering how that is going to work.  I have a 50/50 split on Ash/Kaidan for my 10 Shepards. 

Shepard's DNA might not be a part of the children Liara has, but Shepard is the 2nd parent requried for the asari to get pregnant.  That to me is enough.  At least for me, that is good enough.  Shepard is there when those kids are growing up.  They call her dad.  That was her choice.  Liara was surprised at that.  

People across the galaxy know Shepard and Dr. T'Soni are together and any kids they have together will have higher expectations.  Which isn't fair to the children, but since when is the galaxy fair?  That is why they have Liara's last name and not Shepard's.  Having Shepard for a last name would put more expectations on them.

I don't think Earthborn Shepard's give a crap what her/his parents think. I don't even know if that Shepard actually has parents. I thought only a Spacer Shepard had parents. If Earthborn Shep is running with gangs, I doubt the parents give a crap about Shep to begin with. So would it matter if that Shep was with an asari and why would that Shep care? It seems to me Shep's parents didn't care enough to stop their kid from running with gangs.

We need more blue on this page.

Minos, for me if Shepard wants a child that is really hers (ie, human) then I would see Liara understanding that need. Shepard could have her own baby numerous ways (in vitro, natural, etc). If your Shepard wants a baby of his/her own not really a big issue unless you RP that Liara would have a problem with it. Your call.

How about this?

Hannah knew that Shepard were seeing Liara and knew that it might have been more than just a fling. She finally meets Liara at Shepard's official funeral. Liara, having already recovered Shepard's body and therefor gotten the armor and dog tags, offers the dog tags to Hannah.

Hannah however declines, suffering from her only child's death, she tells Liara to keep them. Due to Hannah knowing that Liara loved Shepard and because she does not wish to have a reminder of what she lost.

That way. Liara does not look selfish having the dogtags. As for Hannah stil not fully accepting Liara when ME3 hits despite giving the dogtags to her. It is because deep down, she had hoped that Shepard would find another human, not an Asari.

In the codex it states no one is sure if DNA is passed on from the father I think so who knows? Aethya aays she must of gotten her mouth from her Krogan parent but that maybe just from being under Krogan influence.And in Asari terms I'm guessing to them, Shepard is the biological father.

Hannah proberly does know, news spread fast mouth to mouth, it would spread very fast in the military. Hannah may of known 2-3 days after Kaidan mentions lower decks rumours of Liara having a thing for Shepard.

That works too.  I thought about that, but I decided to go another route.
