The reason I'm thinking, which is tearing me apart. I stopped playing and saved it in Liara's office before I start the DLC. I have to think about it more too.

This is my angry femShep. She got drunk with Dr. Chakwas and then went to the Normandy's bar and had more. She's in a bad place right now and not handling having Cerberus bringing her back very well. Sole Survivor and knows Cerberus set up her squad on Akuze. That is why she's pissed at Liara. I just don't know what to do know. *sighs*

Shep is a super soldier, usually largely unaffected by any kind of emotional tragedy. Didn't blink when Ashley/Kaidan died. Stayed sharp when Jenkins got killed etc. Your Shepard is in a big mess right now, but you can add some character development yourself if you RP it like Liara once again brings up the best in Shepard. Like she's angry at the whole world but during Lotsb, she remembers the good old days. By the time both Shep and Liara are fighting the Shadow Broker, Shepard realizes Liara's ultimately good intentions and forgives her. Instead of drinking to forget, she uses her renewed love/friendship with Liara as a driving point to spur her on and get her life back on track.

I dunno, just thinking aloud here, kind of but I think it has a nice touch to it. This way you can nicely RP your Shepard, without being mean to Liara.

I'm starting to think.  Gawd, I love this game because of it too.  That I will do what I normally do.  LotSB  mission before the SM, but talk to Liara afterwards.  I think this Shep's head will clear a little more once she stops seeing Cerberus everywhere on her ship.  She's a paragade leaning towards renagon now.  Both bars are quite low and about even.  I don't know if I'll be able to defuse Tali/Legion conflict.  Since she wants Cerberus gone, she doesn't talk to either Jacob or Miranda, so their LM won't get done.

It was hard renegading Liara on Illium.  Having Liara slam her hand on her desk saying she didn't go looking for Shepard's help when Shepard told her no, I'm not hacking terminals for fun.  She did it anyway after she realized she was being an ass, then she ran into Conrad and got ticked off again at that guy's stupidity.

Liara's look in the pic is how I actually feel right now.

Or, if you want to see what effects it will have in ME3 if you don't invite her for drinks and you want to RP it that your Shepard is angry for Liara and to the rest of the world, don't invite her for those drinks. that way you see the possible effects and if you don't want to be mean to Liara in ME3 you RP it like for example that when the reapers finally attack you Shepard realizes that she needs to shape up and what an ass she has been and then she could try to make it up to Liara, if that's possible. Or something like that if you want to see what possibly happens when you don't invite her for drinks.

^^ Given that scenario I guess you could RP it like you were trying to get your life back together after the SM and get things straightened out. So maybe you don't invite Liara to your cabin for drinks because you are trying to kick the habit. Not so much that you are being mean to her. Then you could hope to win Liara back in ME3 when you have things in order. Just an option.

Then again I've never not invited her to the cabin so I don't know if there is a nice way to do it.

About 3 hours after ME3 is released, there will be plenty of vids around to show this. There's no need to be deliberately mean to Liara to see what happens in ME3. I certainly can't do it:(

In that case, you could still invite her for drinks early on and say you want to do it later. Just pretend that instead of Shep saying 'Great. Next time I come back, it's a date' he actually says 'I'll let you know later. I've got a lot on my mind right now' or something like that. Then after Shep has got his head on straight again after the SM, he can safely invite Liara up for drinks. Both sides are now happy:)

Originally, I was wanting to romance Liara with this Shepard, but I picked her up after Virmire and couldn't.  She has a little crush on Liara.  Actually, she's been a little angry since Udina grounded the Normandy and she ripped into Kaidan during the locker scene.  I was hoping to romance Liara in ME3, but this Shep need to calm down and think properly again like she did before she got spaced.

Thank you two for the advice.  I think I have it RP out now.  Since I'm on Illium, I'll go after Thane, then Talil.  Get setup by TIM, get even more angry about it.  Do the Reaper IFF mission then when there is an almost empty Normandy, she'll be able to think with a clearer head.  Then do everyone LM and the LotSB.  Jump through the Omega-4 relay then invite Liara up for drinks.  I think by then she might calm down.  :innocent:

Yeah. Inviting her up as a friend makes more sense in that case. Shepard is sorting out their life and cannot commit to restarting the relationship. But just because you are trying to regain your foothold in your own life does not mean you avoid other people. Especially if they care about you and wish to lend you some support.

I suspect they're more popular because most of the Maleshep supporters really don't care who voices Maleshep; he's far more of a blank slate, and given the appalling voice direction Maleshep gets, it wouldn't matter who did anyway.

He's getting better actually, I found him way more better at acting in LotSB or Arrival than Hale. But in ME1 and ME2 I agree he did a sloppy job.

No way did Meer out act Hale in LotSB.  Nothing beats her flirty voice when asking about Azure.  Or the chase scene.  No way, no how.  I've not done Arrival enough to with Sheploo to notice the difference, but to me he sound mono-toned  all the time and to be honest, I've quit paying that close of attention.  I really don't care about my Sheploo characters like I care about my femSheps.

That is on how different they act.  Should they be that different, I don't know the answer to that, but Meer's Shepard  is lacking in emotion to me.

I've yet to see a tweet from Ali Hillis making a comment about Meer like she has more than once about Hale.

You don't care about Shepard because he isn't your shepard, he is Sheploo, but I bet you would love your maleshep. I love Hale but she wasn't as good as meer when it comes to those DLC's, he seemed to bring more happy emotion, she kept the whole "Oh I'm a badass" routine and I very much dislike this. Just my opinion don't be flaming on me Lady.

I've been tempted to write a story or two about this Shepard. She has so many issues it's not even funny. The cabin scene would be the perfect place to have this Shepard break down in front of Liara. Hmmmm.....

You know now that you've told about these great story ideas you're having (this messed up Shep, Shep and Liara's children) I'm seriously thinking about giving up this, how would I say, principle of mine not reading any fanfic. It's not that I would have something against fanfic but I just haven't felt like reading it...not yet anyway ;) So maybe I should try out some of your stories sometime... still have to consider this giving up my principle though, since I'm a man of principles you know :P

Poll: did you romance liara with male or femshep?

FemShep/Liara getting a lot of love in that poll.

Personally I highly highly HIGHLY prefer Jennifer Hale's voice acting to Mark Meer's.  So that could be a contributing factor.  Is Mark Meer even an actor?  Because he doesn't really sound like it when I hear Male Shepherd.

Here is a nice blog about femShep and it makes comments about Meer's version of Shepard.  I agree with most of what was said in it.

I read that, its great, kinda voiced exactly what I thought.  Its not that Mark Meer is a bad voice actor, just that Jennifer Hale plays FemShep so differently then how he plays MaleShep.

Does anyone else like to pretend that Shepard and Liara drink tea instead of canned wine?

More dignified, somehow...

Yes, I have.  When Shepard and Liara go out to eat on the Citadel they have either water or tea.  Many times I have them drinking OJ while on the Normandy.

I also when Shepard drinks, she sips her ice brandy instead of doing shots like she does in game.

I like how you can mix the drinks on the Normandy.  Do that twice and EDI is telling Shepard where the bathroom is.  I  every time I hear it and right now it's after every mission.

@Pockles, yea, that Shep is in a very bad place right now.  All she see is Cerberus everywhere and she's not liking it.  She's fighting with Liara about helping her out then got ****y again when Liara told her that she was the one responsible for her being with Cerberus.  Not good at all.

I made a point to tell EDI that what goes on in their private quarters stays there in my story.  Don't forget Joker.  That guy is a complete perv.

Liara:"I ran into Joker, he seemed happy to see me.  He asked if you and I would be acting out some scenes from a vid called 'Vaenia'.
Shep:"Of course he did." *rubs back of neck.*

Damnit Joker.  Stop it now.  My sex life with Liara is none of your business.  I did make him flip out when he saw that Liara is pregnant.  Ruined he says.  RUINED.   :bandit: And those that knows him, laughed.  :D
