There isn't one class better than another in that regard. I've played all but soldier and none have been "better" than another, just tactically different.

I wouldn't put much stock in the opinions of others, everyone will have a different preference. I've played with Liara as every class but soldier, none were really better than the others when I learned how to best use the skill sets and weapon specialties. I suggest you just pick one and see how it goes, make your own decision on which "you" prefer.

ME1 I go for Adept. Halfway through the game there´s hardly any enemy who can stand in the way. Even armatures are powerless against 2 upgraded Lifts. And I like the idea their combined power makes them almost invencible.

In Mass Effect 1 she works very well with Vanguards and Soldiers. Especially if you take someone like Garrus or Tali along, depending on what kind of enemies you're fighing.

In Mass Effect 2, I couldn't say.

Do you only play LotSB or will you bring Liara for the whole game as a Squadmate?
Which difficulty are you playing?
How good are you with the combat system, not only aiming, but using all your Squadmates abilities and do combos around corners?
Are you using the PC or console?

Liara works well with every class actually. 
I did an adept run with I had Liara and Tali with me the whole time.  We were unstoppable.  Liara would throw singlularity.  Second later, I would throw it.  People flying in the air are easy targets.  

My favorite class is soldier.  I like being able to use all the guns.

I'm looking forward to doing the LotSB DLC with my infiltrator because I took stasis as my bonus.  Liara and I are going to rip Vasir a new one.

classes w/biotics work well because then you can get Liara to trigger warp explosions, however on the other hand you might want to go for a more techie character to bring down enemies' defences so that her singularity will work well.

I'm a fan of sentinels so I'd chose that since they have a mixture of both biotic and tech powers, plus since they both have warp you can both do some pretty hefty damage to barriers and armour.

Speaking of LotSB, it's taking me a lot of self control to not do it now

Does any of the pre-cabin scene dialogue change if you do it pre-SM?

The only difference is when you ask how Shepard is s/he is doing instead of mentioning you destroyed the collectors she mentions Horizon.  Then instead of when the Reapers finally do arrive, you'll jump into the fray, she mentions jumping through the Omega-4 relay. 
Those are the only changed I've noticed.  Rest of it is the same.

I always thought she was going to say something like ....

'You asked, damnit! I didn't come running to you for help, not even when I saved you and then heard that you were alive."

Whether Liara was romanced or not she saved Shepard from the collectors and it wasn't easy. So that quick flash of anger to me is "Dammit! You owe me." But then she catches herself, because she doesn't want Shepard to know what she did. I loved that moment with the romanced Shepard ... It felt like an honest moment with her. She is angry because (s)he does owe her, she is angry because she still needs him/her and she is angry because in trying to stay cold towards her returned "lover" her passion (emotion) has to be vented somewhere. If not in love then anger will do just fine. But that is just in my role play.

I don't choose it with the non-romanced Shepard because it feels out of place though.

No, Shepard now owes.  Liara paid back her debt by helping Shepard with her melds to find the conduit on Ilos. 

The galaxy owes Liara as much as the galaxy owes Shepard.  But Shepard will always get more credit than those that with with her/him.

For a moment I read that as "By helping Shepard with melds on the way to Ilos"  .

Meh, if you wanna look at it that way id like to think most people would help out a guy trying to save the galaxy from annihilation but thats just me. And i mean finding Ilos is the least you could do after i juss um saved ur life. 
And the ressurection always irked me as much as Liara's my favorite character, bringing me back to life does not really put me in your debt. I could see how in Shepards position it kinda would seeing as how your giving him/her a second chance in saving th galaxy but still...juss sayin
