Liara’s office, Illium.

Following up on
Monday’s tragedy, where the colony of Horizon was attacked. While information
was scarce at the time, rumors have finally surfaced suggesting that the
Collectors, a small seclusive alien species, were behind the raid that abducted
300.000 colonists. Several people claimed to have seen Commander Shepard, the
supposed dead spectre being on the colony during the attack. Fighting and
repelling the alien force trying to abduct the colony with the assistance of an
unknown human woman and a male Turian. We have asked both the Systems Alliance
and Citadel Council for comments, but so far only the Council has responded.
Citing that quote “We deny the claims of the spectres involvement on Horizon, there
have been no reasons to use such measures yet in what is simply, a human matter.”
Unquote. We will follow up on this as more information is received.

In other news today, can we expect eezo prices to ri — Liara turned off the small television in her office. She let out a small sigh. She had been following the news rather intensely as of late, mostly
because of the increased abduction of colonist. Despite what the Council and
Alliance claimed she had known that there was more to it than simple slavers. She
had suspicions that it was the Collectors, given that some of her contacts knew
they had started to grow an interest for humans after Sovereign’s defeat. A
fact that bothered her, the idea of the Collectors being mere puppets of the
Reapers was frightening to say the least. But Liara would be dishonest to
herself if the abductions were the only reason she paid more attention than
usual to what was going on, why she spent more resources than necessary on
something that was not related to her mission to find the Shadow Broker.

It was because of Shepard.

She could still hardly believe that he had
returned, but should she not of all people expect his return the most? No, what
should she have expected? Lawson had told her that Shepard’s body was in poor
condition, that the project might not even succeed. The words had devastated
her. First she had sacrificed Feron for a corpse, when she did not even know of
the Lazarus project. Her quest to seek closure had resulted in the loss of even
more life. When she had returned, Miranda had confronted her with a proposal.
Give Cerberus the body and Shepard would be given a second chance. She accepted
the offer; despite all what she told herself, she had done it out of her own
desire to see Shepard live again, not because it was what was best for him. So
when she heard of the body’s bad condition her heart sank. If Shepard did come
back, would he even be the same man she loved? Or just a Cerberus puppet, a
mere shell of what he used to be. The fears of what extreme measures Cerberus
might have done to bring Shepard back plagued her. It had weighted on her for
two years, she had hoped to escape these feelings, but now. With Shepard alive
again, they had come back to haunt her in full force.

Re-doing my Troll career more to my liking, Liaramanced character. Liara walked out on me in my cabin, did any of you know about this?

She asked what the point of fighting the Reapers is if we all die. I replied w/ "IDK" option and Liara got disappointed and left. Shepard goes and sulks on her couch, just looking at the glasses still full with drinks. Liara turns to look back one time and then finally leaves.

WOW. My character is insufferable but that was stone-cold, actually felt bad for my Shep.

Yes, I was stunned.
ME1 was just pure gold with the Renegade dialogues for Liara and in LotSB, they just suck. Like they want all the Shepards to promise Liara a happily ever after. (very sneaky BW )
But I was not that crushed like after picking the response: "Let's keep it professional."
Holy ****, I felt like an a-hole. Never going to pick that again.

Yes nice comic. I really like how you've drawn that Liara's crest (or what ever it should be called).

Talking about fanart, I've been drawing this Liara + male Shep thing for something like a week now , and no that doesn't mean that I would have drawn it a week full time. More like I've been working on it every time I feel like drawing and when I get the inspiration. So while drawing Liara I started to think that do the asari have fingernails. I've never really thought about that I realized that I have absolutely no idea. So yeah, that's my question for you, do the asari have fingernails?

If you're going to be drawing humans/humanoids, then the one thing I can't recommend enough (it's actually so useful) is to always sketch outlines and guidelines and then fill in the details after you've got it all lined out. This way you avoid things like drawing a head, then trying to fill in facial features and realising you may have made something look too big, or trying to draw the body and it looking horribly proportioned.

That was my common mistake years ago (and tbh, I'm sure everyone has done it some time down the line), but as long as you vaguely know what the human body looks like from memory (upper arm larger than forearm, thighs larger than shins, women have wider hips, men broader shoulders etc. etc.) then drawing the outlines will help you out a lot.

I like it lizardviking, carry on with it. I really should create my own but if everyone does it so maybe I might, I have created my own little fantasy world with a good amount of lore in it but I have not touched it in some time because I lack the motivation.

I liked it. IMO your style is very similar to Henning Mankell's style, who happens to be one of my favorite authors

I agree with that too.  She wasn't all that surprised to see Shepard, Liara did pay for the fees that Shepard would have to pay for docking at Nos Astra.  How else did she know Shepard was coming to Illium?

It's my noble Cousland that married Alistar.  Only personal avatar pic I can use.  My Xbox 360 DA:O characters.  I can't seem to get the CC to allow me to upload a different pic.  I wanted to use Leia Shepard.  I'm derp derp derp with it.


I have a bunch.  I havne't posted my folder.  It's a mess.  I keep adding to it.

Hello guys and girls. Just dropped by to put in my support for Liara. My very first ME2 play I romanced Tali and left Liara (didn't know about LotSB).

Then I changed my hard drive on my 360 and couldn't transfer data so ended doing a ME1 and 2 back to back but with knowing about LotSB, so I went Liara both.

My wife likes Tali and I'm doing another play to get her back but I think Liara appeals more now that with LotSB I know what went on instead of feeling like she just gave up on me (the reason I went with Tali my very first ME2 game)

You can replay the ending of ME1 and you'll get that file back.  I've had to do that a few time when I was moving files around last year when I got my new HDD.

How would the game know if you just don't import that file until after you unlock that achievement?
