I want to know what those head tentacles are for. I really, really do.

THEORIES?

Perhaps some far, way back in the Asari's evolution, they lived in the ocean and had gills.  Their necks certainly look like gills.  Maybe the head tentacles are a result of that, kinda like our tail bones and appendix.

Agree, i think they were a kind of aquatic mammals with gills in the past.
And i still wonder if maybe they're capable to swim better, hold their breath longer or even breath underwater in the current time.

But other people have different theories :P

Seems a little too large to be a vestigial organ.

If those tentacles were the biggest reason how they moved underwater when they were primitive (like an octopus), right now are pretty small in comparation with the rest of the body. And who knows, maybe it helps them to protect that part of the head too, so they kept this trait

Question: After a long day at work what equipment at the Serrice Fitness Center do you see her using the most? Do you think that she would have had a routine there? I have my own view on this but wondered what others thought just for a little different perspective.

An Elliptical trainer came into my mind, also climbing exercises if needed for the dig sites, but is likely asaris have different machines than humans, so im not sure

Thanks @ladyvader & @Ophiskc ... I've been sitting here in the fitness center with her for the past few hours and she has been on the climbing wall the whole time ... WRITER'S BLOCK. Sometimes the chapters come easy and sometimes they stall and you sit in the location for hours hoping for a spark of inspiration.

Nothing so far and T'Soni is not helping. Image IPB

She seemed to run after Vasir without much panting afterwards.  Why I think she does cardo workouts.  She did pant after taking out the yahg though.  But I think that was from the biotic use.

You're quite welcome.

What we've seen of asari so far suggests that they give live birth and are at least vaguely analogous to mammals. It seems far fetched that they were ever aquatic, or were, and maintained select aquatic traits while living on dry land.

That is one thing that I always thought was lacking on the Normandy ... a gym. In my mind there is a gym where the crew can work out, Shepard & Ash competed against each other on treadmills but Ash (a marathon runner) always won.

I am hoping that they have something on the Normandy this time around. They did say that there would be new things so we will just have to wait and see what they have added. I saw on another post where people were hoping for a ring where you could fight each other ... like Shepard vs Garrus. Interesting but I don't see that happening. But I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time or the last. Image IPB

I've have Shepard working out on the Normandy before she reports for duty.  So, I RP there is a gym on the Normandy.  But who knows.  Jacob is seen on the SB vids doing sit up in the aromory.  Maybe he doesn't like the gym.

Leia Shepard needs a punching bag, so she doesn't have to keep punching the yahg.

I hope there's some hand-to-hand combat scenes in ME3.

That's why Leia Shepard needs a punching bag aboard the Normandy.  With the yahg dead, she has no one else to punch.  Well, al-Jilani, but she has yet to punch her out.  She like to sandbag her on video or walks off.

So I'm not the only one who thinks Normandy needs a proper gym. Okay I get that you can run on a treadmill and do sit-ups, pull-ups and push-ups basicly everywhere but they need to do some other physical exercise too, weight lifting etc. some kind of tatami or boxing ring would be cool for sparring and other martial art training and different kind of punching bags and protective gear for sparring. I think something like krav-maga or combat sambo could be the thing Shepard is familiar with, he/she disarmed and knocked those armed guards out easily in Overlord using only his/her hands so he/she has had some hand-to-hand combat training (well guess that's quite obvious since he/she is former alliance soldier) better to keep those skills sharp... Would be cool to have some nice ingame melee moves for ME3, you know disarming an enemy or incapacitating him by something fast and smooth.. but I guess that's not gonna happen...

True ... I always imagined my Shepard having to pull her away from statues, wall markings on Ilos. So when she made the comment about talking more to Vigil it really cracked me up. I love how sometimes the games go where you go in your head.

I've been tempted to do a story where Shepard and Liara go back to Ilos.  I think Liara would really enjoy it.

I have Liara going back to Ilos while Shepard is "dead". For the both of them to go back together would be really interesting. Shepard isn't into the protheans like Liara but she loves seeing Liara excited like a kid at Christmas.

Leia Shepard would take her because she know it would make Liara happy.  I've always wondered.  Did Liara get those prothean items in her apartment on Ilos or from one of her other dig sites?  And the painting.

In my version (ie, not Bioware's) the items came from Ilos. One of the rocks is where Shepard was standing when she stole a kiss from Liara. It was quick and very out of character for E.W. to do ... Liara brought that rock home with her on that "after ME1" Ilos trip.

EDIT: And the painting was done by Liara. Image IPB

Every time I do the prothean digsite mission from the Firewalker DLC then head down into the tower, I imagine my Shepard thinking: "I wish Liara were here. She would've loved this."
