Wow Isaac! I am surprised that you would come to a character's support thread and bash them. Your complaint is really a Bioware dev complaint not a Liara complaint. Maybe you could put that suggestion to them.

Lol not that much about Liara, was writing half-jokingly that I'm pissed at her (and not BioWare). Just saying that I only discovered this bug now, and I'm surprised it was never fixed considering it's rather major (you make one distinctive decision just to have the opposite of it actually registered). Not like they're gonna develop another patch for ME1 at this point so the best is just warn other players one of the options is bugged.

I get pissed at Liara when she doesn't leave Shepard's butt just like Ash when he says "Threesome anyone?" At least both Ash & Kaidan can leave Shepard in the triangle moment with their dignity, Liara isn't given that opportunity. Aaaaargh! I hate that!

Because in my ME1 completionist playthrough, I started to feel things progressed waaaaaaaaaay too quickly with Liara when I'd talk to her after doing a whole load of side missions, as if I'd somehow missed out on other pieces of dialogue :S

Either 1 hub world (Therum, Noveria, Feros, Virmire) or several (don't know exactly how many) uncharted worlds will advance the conversation thingy. I always found it advanced too quickly so I don't talk to anyone until I've done Therum (always first on my list) and about 10 uncharted worlds. Only then will I start talking to my squad members for the first time. Then again after the next hub world etc..

I hear ya.  I didn't even know about this convention if it wasn't for Hillis' tweet confirming that her and Hale were going to be there.   Meer was added later.  I live about a 25 minute drive from the venue.  

Both Hale and Hillis seems to really appreciate their fans.  I've not seen Meer do many conventions, so I really have no idea how he is with the fans.  Guess I find out next month.

I think the only convention BioWare went to in Europe was the one in Germany.

Officially yes, Shepard did commit a crime. The question is; was it justified? And that is the question that the Alliance and the Council wish to determine.

Okay Shepard killed 300,000 batarians but if Shep would have let reapers invade through that mass relay he/she would have murdered every single living being in the galaxy (not literally murdered I know but anyways) so what he/she did was the right thing, problem is that hardly no one else knows that. But at least Shepard's concience is clear, not that it would help much though...

Haha this concience thing reminds me about this one James Bond movie where this turkish guy says to Bond "My concience is clear, how 'bout yours?!" That's something Shep could say to the jury 

But Reapers will invade us anyway, so if there's a chance to stop them then, then we must assume that we had possibly a chance to both save the batarians and destroy the Reapers, right? At least that's how I see it.

It seems like their death gave us only time, but no really advantage. And I'm wondering what would Shepard do if it was human colony. I think it was convinient for Bioware to kill batarians (we all know noone likes them) instead of some council race for example.

True, but I do crack up when people act like Liara is the only one in ME1 that ninjamance you.  If you paragon all your talks with Kaidan, Ashley, and Liara you lock into the romance with them.  Which is why Shep gets confronted by Kaidan or Ashley and Liara and forces Shepard to choose.

Germany isn't that far but I'm still lacking the time and the money, well mostly time, going there or anywhere else basicly since this damn school stuff takes all my time

If you got the chance give Ali the regards from your fellow Internetz and Liara thread mate from this cold and dark country of Finland, hahah   okay just kidding, no need for that, but give her the regards from all of us in the Liara thread when you see her.

Ashley leaving me with Liara after that confrontation was probably the best thing that ever happened to me in ME1

Indeed, and it was in a city so close to the Netherlands I could've been there with only a 1,5 hour drive. But I couldn't be there:(

Ash was worse IMO. The only way to avoid a ninjamance with her was to first call out that she was out of line (rude response) and then break it off. No friendly way to call it off with her as far as I'm aware.

Personally I think that Bioware wanted to set the player up for the little "PICK SHEPARD" scene to show the player that there were consequences in the game ... even romance-wise. Wanna flirt with both people? Fine. BAM!

The game can be quirky though ... I have had Liara say that she liked me but that she knew that I was with Kaidan so she would keep it on the up & up. WTF? I was trying to get the confrontation between Kaidan & Liara just to see how it played out. Didn't even know that Liara would be a "not available" in the game, but she can be.

They all ninjamance and cut your Shepard off ... quirky game.

I've yet to see anyone complain about being ninja'ed by Kaidan or Ashely.  They just complain about Liara.

Really? You can't even end Liara's romance at this point? I never tried not to romance Liara so I wouldn't know...

I was locked into Kaidan's romance and renagaded him at the locker.  It ended the romance.  I'm almost willing to bet it's the same with Liara or Ash.  But then I've never tried it and when it comes to Liara, I wouldn't anyway.

Also, if you pick up Liara after Virmire, no romance open.  So, there it is.

Just wondering, can you play through ME1 without ever picking up Liara? I don't know why you'd want to but I'm just curious.
