The purple could be the light, as you can see it in her neck and headband also... but to be honest i think she is looking pretty good  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

I love Kaidan's armor. Looks great with the urban camo.

And Liara. Good god but it does not look very pretty. Red/Black does not suit her armor at all. Neither does the headband thingy.

I'm
still a little bugged out by Liara's "headband" thingy (for lack of a
better word). It fitted Samara's character beautifully but why would
they WANT to make Liara look more like Samara? Only reason I can think
of is that it might be a new trend in Asari fashion styles and more
Asari now wear something like this.

I must admit I vastly prefer
her white/blue armor and probably won't be using the alternate armor
for more than 1 side mission before switching back. What do you people
think of putting that headband on Liara?

I think someone made a smart comment that this alternative outfit for Liara was made as an "apology" for those that liked Samara more than Liara. In the sense that they can now dress Liara up like Samara so she has the same colour scheme and headband.

Regarding the headband. Is it possible that the headband (from an in-universe perspective) is simply an ancient Asari tradition and something that their warriors used to wear before going into battle perhaps?

Sounds plausible although if this headband were tradition, why does only Samara wear one? Not that it really matters. Liara didn't wear it in the E3 demo, meaning it's probably only part of her alternate armor and not her regular gear. So since I will be sticking with the blue/white armor she won't wear that headband in my game.

You´re totally right , and it seems they conserved the LOTSB look, well, at least in that photo or just in the alternative pack, im kind of happy for that anyway

Like I said. Ancient tradition! Which is why there is not so many that wears it!

Well, we dont know that yet, i´m hoping thats not the case and that she looks the same in her normal armor too, but if for whatever reason BW decides to please everybody (the ones who likes M2 look or Lotsb), i guess i will stuck with the alternative pack those eyes just get me everytime

Im looking forward for the uncomming gamescom in Germany, maybe they show new footage with the real skins

No. Liara is wearing her Lotsb armor, just in another colour. Also she appears to be wearing some kind of headband that reminds me of Samara.

I can honestly say I've never seen that before nor anything like it in ME1. I have no theories other than... perhaps accentuation? Possibly ease of design I have no idea... strange bugs or glitches... I just... yep got nothing.

Liara is actually a Desire Demon in disguise. She sensed Shepard's desires and attempts to charm him. It works very well on my Shepards I might add...
