It's what most of us think anyway.  One of the SB videos Liara set up for Shepard to view has Aethyta looking at the same pic of Liara that Shepard has in her/his quarters.  It has not been confirmed that she is Liara's father, but it sure seems like it.

I like the top version more. Fits better thematicly.

agreed, the blue in the bottom image is too vibrant and doesnt blend well with the rest of ME2s color palate. asari blue looks better [in game] with some lighting effects, pure blue isnt as natural looking and doesnt work imo.

I'll be honest, I don't know.  I would say yes, she looked blue, but the  lighting in her office makes her look off.  It's even worse when she's behind her desk than she is when she standing off to the side threatning the human client.

Aethyta is looking a vid, Shepard's pic is a pic.  It's like I took a screenshot from a video.  It is the same.  It's just a different format.  It looks like both are on the from the Citadel after the fight with reaperized Saren.  Liara has an AR on her back and ME1 armor.

I prefer her LotSB appearance over the others. The lighting in ME3 doesn't look good though.

That can change though.  It seems from a comment.  I think it was evil Chris that some of the demos where using older concepts that have since been changed or tweeked. 

We really won't know until March what the final product will look like.   Here to hoping Liara doesn't look grey most of the time.

As long as Ali Hillis is still doing Liara's voice, I'm good. 

I'm like TMA right now.  I'm to the point where I don't care as long as she looks and acts like Liara and doesn't get the Isabela treatment of big boobs, I'm cool.  Which I doubt they'll do in game.

If Liara is in the Mass Effect anime I'd be content as long as she were voiced by Ali Hillis. Style isn't really an issue for me --within reason-- but I don't think I could stand one of those English voice actors they usually get for translated anime.

I don't remember which interview I read from Hillis, but even she thinks she should be the only to do Liara's voice in that type of situation.  Anyone else doing it, it wouldn't be Liara.

The reason I bring this up is because Benezia has to be fairly old (at the very least 500 or 600 years old) if she was a Matriarch in ME1 but has had only one child in her entire life and only one partner(Aethyta)? I'm not saying it's impossible for Liara to be a only child but I thought it would be interesting to speculate as it could lead to a lot of family drama if it was the case.

I doubt they'll actually change her face all that much. Most likely they're only wondering which lip and eye colour they're going to give Liara in ME3. The light or the dark version. Also they'll probably wonder how to make her look less grey than she did in previous vids and screenshots. They won't use an entirely new face model when they already have one that looks really good.

A real sister, doubtful. Considering Benezia and Aethyta weren't on good par with eachother I doubt they sired more than one daughter together. I consider it a fact that Benezia had other children when she was younger though so Liara most definitely has a few half-sisters. With Asari generally having multiple partners over the course of their lives, multiple children from different partners seems common. It doesn't appear these Asari half sisters are as close as their human equivalent though, probably because it's more common for Asari than humans. That's most likely why Liara never mentions them.

Nice video, the only problem is that even if I'm Finnish myself, I just can't stand poets of the fall well okay they've got couple songs I can listen if I hear them in the radio or something but it really isn't my type of music. But yeah, video itself was nice, thanks for sharing.

Now that is an interesting question. One I had considered myself in the past.

Something that could pose a problem with that is the fact that Liara never mentioned her. Although potentially that could be attributed to their estrangement. If Benezia had a previous child during the years when asari seem to usually have children, and then had Liara when she was a Matriarch --something that seems to be quite uncommon-- then that would be a massive age difference.

Or, maybe Benezia was just a unique Matriarch who didn't have an interest in having children until late in her life.

It'd be awesome to meet a half sister of hers.

Aethyta says she "Even had a pureblood daughter", which implies only one. So if she's Liara's father, then she doesn't have any full sisters.

Half sisters are certainly a possibility. Benezia might even have "fathered" a child with another Asari who chose to raise her on her own.
