OmG I would feel like an idiot between those two.

Mordin alone can make anyone look like an idiot.  Between him and Sarmara are my two favorite squadmates from ME2(Tali and Garrus I'm not counting because they are in ME1)  B)

Liara can tell Shepard all about the decades she spent excavating prothean tin cans and Shepard can tell Liara all about how she could kill her by jabbing at those handy baroreceptors in her carotid. Different skill sets. :bandit:

How much did Nyxeris actually assist Liara in getting intel? She did mention that the (false) info she had on the observer was from her.

First thing I did when I got Windows 7 working was download a bunch of Mass Effect images to be my desktop theme. I think about half of them ended up being Liara pics, this one included

I'd love to add a nice Liara pic into my wallpaper set, but haven't seen any nice 1920x1080 Liara pic :( Cool thing about windows 7 is that you can have this changing wallpaper thing, I have a set that contains couple High Defenition ME wallpapers and a few pics from a scifi wallpaper set I managed to found, then it changes that wallpaper every 3 minutes to next one...

Not a lot, probably just enough to throw her off. That's why the old SB put her there, right?

Maybe it was info she got from the shadow broker just to lead Liara in the wrong direction. Or maybe it was just to keep her guessing. Those people could have been targets that the shadow broker need killed.

Just my theories

But wasn't Nyxeris just Liara's secretary? Why would she handle and/or provide intel in the first place?

She mentions to Shepard if you talk to her before going into Liara's office the first time that she gets minor stuff for Liara.

Her giving false intel to Liara about the Observer was to cover her own behind, which Shepard finds out about the lie if Shepard isn't lazy and doesn't do all five terminals.

@Warlock--Liara said 60 years.

I would argue that given her current agenda. Intel regarding a high ranked SB officer is not "low priority".

Which is why she gave false intel not knowing Shepard would figure it out.  Or at least that is how I see it.

The SB wasn't the bright to begin with.  If he knew Liara was after him, why not just have Nyxeris kill her and be done with it?

More derp on the writers I suppose.=]

Because Liara can defend herself pretty handily. We know that Nyxeris can't match her biotics in a straight up fight, her only advantage is surprise. There's a chance that Nyxeris would die in the attempt. Liara would know the SB is spying on her, getting another agent in her network would be far more difficult, and suddenly the SB has no eyes on someone that is actively working against him. The risk outweighs the reward, basically.

Liara said if Nyxeris was sent to assainate her, she would never had seen it coming.  Failure on SB part for not going that route.

Pretty sure I addressed that.

Something else to consider. Liara has friends in high places. Would the Shadow Broker kill Liara and ****** off Shepard? Or would he simply keep Liara at arm's length, leading her on a merry chase with false information until she gives up?

Liara wouldn't even be remotely close to getting at the Shadow Broker if it wasn't for Shepard and his/her Cerberus intel.

Think of it the other way around. What did Liara have in her apartment? Shepard's armour, old pictures of their time together...

Liara has obviously been keeping track of Shepard. Nyxeris was probably there to feed the SB intel about the specter who slipped through his fingers. Intel that only Liara knew.

Shepard was dead for two years.  Liara had been hunting the SB the whole time.  Don't give me this friends in high places BS because the SB could have easily gotten rid of Liara while Shepard was still being rebuilt and how would Shepard know who did it.

It's this thing called "investigation". You know, when someone doesn't know something, and they try to find out more about it?

Let's not give any future enemies any bad ideas now shall we? Mass Effect 3 has only one rule: Thou shall not touch Liara T'soni.

Thank you so much :wizard: I guess it would've been quite easy  to find those pics through google but I've been too lazy to do that :P but hey, thanks again!

About that Liara-Nyxeris-SB thing... In order to gain Liara's trust and that Liara would think that she get the job done, Nyxeris has had to give Liara proper and usefull information too. Or was Nyxeris Liara's assistant before SB recruited her, so that Liara already trusted her? Maybe Nyxeris was only supposed to work as an insider for the SB, to know how close Liara was finding SB and if needed Nyxeris could give Liara that false intel to throw her off track. You know keep your friends close but your enemies even closer. Liara was also gifted information broker herself and through Nyxeris SB had acces to all Liara's intel too and that means even more secrets for him to sell. SB is a greedy bastard so why he would throw away something he could use (i.e. kill Liara)? Only when Liara was about to get that Sekat's data that provided her the information about SB's location, SB was willing to kill her, but only then, not sooner and Nyxeris could've killed Liara many times and she'd have never seen it coming.
