Or you could just shrink the size of the background objects (SR1, Sovereign, relay). That will leave more space, as well as make the viewer focus more on the central figures.kumquats wrote...

So, I recently finished a commission for a client and I'm looking for comments/critiques. It has Liara in it, so it's not entirely off-topic.
What do you guys think? Personally, I think it looks a little crowded. Does it come off as crowded?
If you feel it's too crowded, maybe remove the Normandy. But I think it's great the way it is.
Very well done.

The right side feels slightly empty when compared to the left. Everything else is good. I like what you did with Shepard.

I think the "crowded" feel comes from 2 things:
-The fact that you cut shepard down the middle (try making it one continuous image).
-I think the circle and "platform" around the characters are not necessary, but that's just me.
Here's what I would try doing if you want to reduce the "crowded" feel:
-Get rid of the platform and the circle around the characters.
-Make Sheploo's "window" one "window"
-Make the planet larger, and then move the "windows" closer togehter, so they fit within the Planet
-Same for the text, use the planet as the backdrop.
I hope that helps

I have always felt slightly guilty over killing Benezia first and then rescuing Liara at Therum in my very first (canon) Shepard playthrough. You see, for some stupid reason I thought that, despite there being sightings of Benezia on Noveria, that I wouldn't actually find her there, that she might have left before we reached her and we would be lead to another planet or something. BIG mistake.
Liara seemed so sad when I informed her of the news. She never got to see her mother one last time, and her last interaction with her probably went badly. She seemed to accept and understand my decision, however, which at least brought me some sense of relief.
In subsequent playthroughs as other Shepard's, I brought Liara with me to Noveria and the result was much better, in my opinion. She and her mother parted ways on good terms.
Did this happen to anyone else (unintentionally?), or is it just me? I'm hoping there is some way my femshep can make it up to her (and yes, I know what you're thinking. But she's taken by Kaidan). I know I helped kill the SB and all, but was that really enough? Maybe uniting her with Aethyta in ME3 (if that is indeed possible) will make me feel better.

In my first playthrough I went to Therum right away because I wanted another cool alien on my team.

Just wondering what reasons you would have for going to Therum ... after having dealt with Benezia ? I thought the whole purpose of seeking out Liara in the first place was to try to get a lead on Saren and Benezia.

If you go to Noveria before picking up Liara then every time you complete a story mission and the crew is in the briefing someone will bring her up and say she still may have info, etc. In my renegade playthrough I did Noveria, Feros and Virmire before getting her just to see the dialogue changes.

Speaking of which... you did a playthrough where you picked up Liara last didn't you? Did you happen to make a video of the conversation on Therum when Liara and Shepard first meet as well? The one where she thinks Shepard is a hallucination?

My first playthrough is always the one with the most mistakes in them. Then I figure out where I went wrong then play it again. Unless I don't like the game enough to bother with a 2nd playthrough.PMC65 wrote...

I did Feros, Therum, Noveria, Virmire in that order as well. Didn't know too much about Liara at the time (only spoke with her once until then) and my maleshep was sort of 'mancing Ashley already so I took Ashley and Tali. Until I learned Benezia was on Noveria and one of my squaddies told me Liara might want to come along. Swapped out Ashley for Liara and did the run through. After Noveria, I noticed Liara was actually a very nice character, and more importantly, was interested in my Shepard. Didn't take long to choose Liara over Ashley, especially since the latter died on Virmire the next day=]
So no, I've NEVER done Noveria without Liara. I always take her with me.

Thank you.
"Of course. What good is a hallucination if it can't offer false hope"
This dialogue is pure gold. Too bad the downside is no romance with Liara which means I'll never get to see it in game. Seems Ali Hillis is not only a talented VA but also very funny. We saw Funny!Liara in Lotsb, I certainly hope we get to see her again in ME3.

Haha that was pretty funny actually  I've never seen that before, I always went to Therum first, even in my very first ME1 playthrough. So thanks on my behalf as well, for sharing that video.
