Even though I only have one Shepard w/ Liara I can't see her w/ anyone else. Besides, I think even Shepard might have to compete a little w/ the Shadow Broker network.

What'll happen at the end of ME3 will be Shepard destroying a f*ckton of Reapers in epic explosion, and then once he/she escapes from the final blast, the game will go to a kid waking up, saying "wow ... that was the best dream ever" and then the final cutscene in the game will be this kid going to school.

I think you're on to something, but it will probably be in the imagination of that autistic kid from St. Elsewhere.

If Liara is not with Shepard which character would you see her with?

For me it would be Kaidan Alenko.

I agree with that.

We do know at least that Kaidan finds Liara attractive. He tells Shepard that directly in one conversation, and during the Virmire debrief he'll blurt out that Liara looks amazing for 106. Out of the squad mates he's probably the best match for her, assuming he is still alive of course.

It would be nice if a squad mate or two saw someone else if unromanced by Shepard. That could make for some amusing dialogue as well, like with Isabela and Fenris in DA2.

Miranda and Liara? I could never see that happening.

Unless Miranda gets a bisexual retcon I also don't see this happening.

As of Mass Effect 2 at least, Miranda is heterosexual. Of course that may change in ME3.

What's with people wanting other romances for other characters like Tali and Kal reegar, Ashley and James Vega, and Liara with some else, am i the one who realizes this is SHEPARD'S STORY f*ck everybady else.

but on another point why do people want to destroy the SB network why would just get rid of what is potentially the most useful resource after the reaper war is over. I feel there might be a arms race with reaper tech and this might be a good way to thwart the bad guys plus personally i want my shepard to f*ck with sh*t for the butt of it

I thought there was, but I could be wrong and that the speculation was that Bioware was going to announce a a co-play or a multi-player option. Others thought it was a femShep trailer. Who knows. 

But as I said, I could be wrong about the announcement as well.

I wasn't talking about in-game although I hear that Dragon Age has that. It would be cool to have a crap load of junk in the game but since we have to be more realistic (hate that word) I would prefer resources spent on other things.

The destruction of the base probably depends on the Shepard to Liara relationship. My Shepard that is just her friend couldn't care if she lived the rest of her life on the base since he will ride off in the sunset with Ash.

My femshep on the other, she doesn't plan on living on the SB base or date someone who spends the bulk of her time crawling through trash (figuratively speaking). 

To each his own though.

If she weren't so plot-important or such a goddamn powerful biotic, I'd park her in a corner and leave her there, pausing to converse occasionally, but devoting most of my time to chillin' with the much cooler people. You know, like Mordin and Wrex and Garrus.

That said, I just beat LotSB with my Liaramancer, Joanna. And this little paragon interrupt popped up and I... well...



I, uh, think I teared up a little.

FFFffff.... God damn it, Liara, I'm not supposed to care about you! Stop looking at me with those big blue eyes and that adorably creepy smile! You will never be as close to my heart as Garrus and Wrex!

Epic banter is epic.  I got myself killed a couple times because I was giggling at the commentary instead of shooting things.

I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum in this thread, but I'd honestly like to know: where do you guys see Liara going as a character?  One thing LotSB did for me was lend an air of "completion" to her story arc; her character development came full-circle, and she experienced both maturity and an awakening of sorts.  Do you think this will make her a relatively static character in ME3?

bioware left a lot of room in the romance department, any relationship with liara is stuck in limbo until ME3 comes out.

getting stiffed by clients and being lead around in circles by shadowbroker agents wasnt a good way to meet up with shepard in ME2 but even with the comics the shadowbroker story arc is only in the second act. those events will definitely have an impact on ME3

who buys the ring? will they live happily ever after and make lots of lil blue babies? does liara know about kelly? the shepard - liara soap opera hasnt even made it to the breakups to makeup stage yet, that romance still has plenty room to grow

I like to think of my Shepard as Solid Snake. He/she will be done fighting after the war with Reapers (as I see in new ME3 designs the war is really taking it's cost) and my main Shepard is with Liara. I'd love her to say "f*ck everything, let's go to somewhere where it's just us". No sunset in the background thogh, that would be too much.

Also I think the galaxy would be better place without someone knowing what kind of toilet paper my Shepard uses to wipe his arse.

Mainly because it might make for amusing dialogue between those two characters, if you had them in your party. See Isabela and Fenris in DA2.

But as an added bonus, an unromanced LI or two hooking up with someone other than Shepard, establishes that Shepard isn't *that* amazing. It is a little lame that everyone seems to fall all over Shepard, but if Shepard is immune to their advances they remain celibate.

That isn't to say that the Normandy should be turned into the love boat, but one or two unromanced LIs moving on would be nice.

I also think that your ME1 LIs should have moved on and dated a person or two during those two years that Shepard is dead, with the possible exception of Liara. She's the only one who might not have been completely suprised by Shepard's return from the dead.

The VS however...should have had a boyfriend or girlfriend or two while Shep was KIA.

I am not sure. She has matured alot and most of her loose ends have been tied up. The only thing I feel there is left is what will happen with her role as the SB and the issue of her "father". There is potential for growth there, but how I am really not sure.  There is also the romance but I am looking beside that.
