Because....I don't.

Ehh. Only later down the line. Preferebly after ME3. But if it has to be in the game, let it be in the prologue.

I'd like it, like I said, later on in the epilogue somewhere. It's not necessary, though.

What if she can't...how will that go?

If she can't (yet) which is likely, or not at all, I'd be fine with it, too, as long as it's explained in the game (again).

I'd like to have those babies, but If Liara for one reason or another can't have kids or she doesn't want to, then it's fine for me and my Shep. Then it's just happily ever after just the two of them.

Haha, that reminds me....the in-game explanation of asari reproduction hasn't been alll that great XD

How DO they mate with anyone?  Um...magic?

But I don't want 'forced' kids up in my business. So I am biased in my argument XD

I'd rather the pair adopt (I am dead serious)

Exactly how are "forced" adopted kids an improvement? If kids are optional, then either is perfectly acceptable. If they are mandatory, then neither is acceptable.

For the record, I can think of at least one reason for the above preference.

I don't want 'forced' biological kids.  If I choose to headcanon adoption, then that's my choice.

I do not think that anyone implied differently. forced anything in relation to LI would not be good.

I would like my shepard to have children with Liara, after the war of course, anything else seems strange to put it mildly. I you don't then that is cool as well Posted Image

That is probably one of those mysteries of the universe that you will never be able to understand completely...or you'd go insane if you do =]

It's probably best to just...go with the flow?  Do the flow, Liara...do the flow!

I want kids. If Liara can't pop em, that ain't a problem. But I like the idea of being a family man.

Yes, since only then it's a choice, which I thought was one of the main features of (more recent?) BW games.
Note that there's a difference between doing something and being able to do something.

Edit to clarify: Personally, the last thing I want is kids - I'm 21, somewhat busy with my Master's and generally unsure how healthy I'll be in 20 years time (type 1 and all that). My Shepard may feel differently about those things, and, more importantly, some of *yours* most likely will. What would I gain by depriving others of their enjoyment by having BW restrict choices to those that I like?

I don't really see the need for Bioware to specify whether Liara and Shepard's "happily ever after", if they get one, includes having children.

Yeah me too and it would be good for Shepard to get away from all that war **** and if I could I would give the ship to Garrus in the end of ME3.

Am I the only one who feels a bit disappointed whenever a "list your opinions on squadmates from best to worst" thread comes up and some people put Liara near the bottom? >.<

That's just their opinion, which they are welcome to. I don't really pay attention to things like that.

I think a plotline with children would be interesting, and my Shepard would probably take it, but it shouldn't be mandatory.

Liara is definitely one of the more popular characters in the franchise (with Tali, Garrus and Miranda). I don't take these threads too seriously (...and many people put her at the top of their lists too) ^_^

I just find the need of knocking up Liara, kinda squicky to be honest.

/flameshield

Sure, it's fine if they have babies later...but preggers with the whole Reaper war going on.......WTF?!!!!!!

who the f said they wanted preg!liara while the Reapers invade? 'cos that's just ... odd

The whole baby thing, just kinda scares me dude.  Liara is more than just a baby machine.

Yeah. We have the blue rose of Illium to act as a baby making machine already. Don't need Liara for that.

Some people like Liara, others don't. I've long since given up paying attention to Liara haters so I don't know why some people dislike Liara (other than the fact she's given more screentime than their favorite squadmembers but that's no reason to go hating on said character). I only know Liara and Garrus/Tali will form my permanent ME3 squad, ocasionally switching out Garrus/Tali for other squadmembers I feel fit better in a certain situation.

I'd like to have those babies, but If Liara for one reason or another can't have kids or she doesn't want to, then it's fine for me and my Shep. Then it's just happily ever after just the two of them.

Couldn't have said it better myself:wizard:

No. She can want them, but that doesn't mean that she will have them. =)

Then it is up to her to decide wether the kids are more important than Shepard.

Also wanted to ask, who here loved the fact that Liara became more renegade, and would like her to become even more badass and leave all the innocents behind?

It's
not something I get wound up about, it kind of just eats away at a
small dark corner of my mind  because she's my fav and seeing people say
how they dislike her sucks for me [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

I played ME2 before ME1, so it was LotSB Liara that actually got me interested in her character, but tbh I think I'd actually prefer bits of the "old" Liara to seep through during ME3. Obviously she can't be all awkwardshy considering she's the Shadow Broker and Reapers are wrecking everything in the galaxy, but at the very least if Shepard could make a little reference to her behaviour in ME1, joking about how easily she used to get embarrassed.

Speaking of which, I'm quite interested in how Bioware's going to deal with the romance continuation in ME3, since they can't go by their usual formula of meet character > normal conversation > awkward/shy flirting > more flirting > open admission of affection > sex since that's all been done if you stick with your ME1 or ME2 romance.

She seems more balanced at the end of LotSB, so... not really, no.

During Lotsb she was mostly renegade due to her anger at the Shadow Broker and his agents. I didn't really approve of it that much, but I understood. After Lotsb she settled down a little more again. Though instead of becoming the pure paragon Liara we saw in ME1, she became a paragade, and I'm just fine with that. All my Shepards are mostly paragade as well so it's a perfect fit between them. As long as she doesn't become more renegade in ME3, I'm fine with how she is at the end of Lotsb.

Speaking of Lotsb... It's about that time again:D

I want Liara more renegade, more like her mother, only more fun and sarcastic. :wizard:
