I can't find the thread where I read it but apparently it was confirmed that there will be no forced squad member deaths in ME3. How I managed to miss such an important confirmation is beyond me. Anyway, I guess this means I don't need to worry any longer about Liara in ME3. IF she gets hurt, it'll be my own fault at least and it'll be avoidable.
Best news I've heard in a few days:pinched:

Where did you read that exactly?

And damn. More bad news? <_<

If you haven't read "Mass Effect 3: Galaxy at War and 4 player co-op multiplayer announced" by Chris Priestly

http://social.biowar...3/index/8481789

It has a FAQ section on the co-op part and is an interesting read overall.

Nice, if these things hold true i won't have a problem with multiplayer.

I kind of doubt the veracity of this "no forced deaths" thing, but if it's true, kudos to Bioware.

I absolutely agree. Any additional play time is a good thing to me if done well

It's good that the main dev team stayed focus on the main story and another team is working on the CoOp portion.
There is also talk of DLC's to Mass Effect 3 and potentially more Co-Op missions which could add more life to the final chapter.

With the DLC's I'm hoping that means that other characters  will have their own LotSB kind of moment.

Even though it's not nearly as bad as I thought and I'll reserve judgment for now, I'm still not, nor will I ever be, fond of multiplayer in ME3. To make matters worse, it seems ME3 retail version will require Origin to install and if that wasn't enough, I'm guessing Priestly also lied about the prothean squadmember not being in ME3. So we're getting ME3 with multiplayer, requiring spyware to be istalled on my pc to even play and we're most likely getting a cheesy 'Prothean survived in stasis for 50.000 years, holds a weapon and has a plan to defeat the reapers' plot. I'd say that fits my definition of bad news.

Sorry for that, ever since this whole Origin and multiplayer debacle, I'm a little edgy.

And I read the thing about no forced squadmember deaths in a thread yesterday. Problem is, I saw so many threads yesterday that I have no idea in which thread I saw it. Maybe someone can tweet Casey about it, I'm sure he's had his fill of multiplayer questions by now.

I kind of doubt the veracity of this "no forced deaths" thing, but if it's true, kudos to Bioware.

Good chance it's true. BioWare seems to like making all characters equal in ME. Plus they can expect massive rage if one or two particular squadmembers always die in ME3. Particularly if that squadmember is a LI (which is most of the squadmembers out there)

They've triggered enough rage with the multiplayer announcement, maybe they should announce they're making another Liara DLC too :P

Everytime something is announced or shown it causes massive knee jerks. Posted Image

Casey and his team want this final chapter to blow everything out of the water and given their track record I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Once the game is released and I've played it a couple of times then I'll really have an opinion on ME3. If only 3/4 of my plate gets filled with their final product then I'm good ... cause that plate has alot of wants from my romance stories (Ash/Liara) to Tali not having to live in her suit to Wrex being successful in changing his world back to what it had been, etc. etc.

I'm slowly going through the pages I've missed the past week.  Being out of town tends to do that.  :P

If I have anything to say about it, there will be no such thing as a Shadow Broker Network by the end of ME3. I'm all in favor of: "Crash this thing and go"

I agree.  Crash it into the planet or into the sun.  Leave nothing for TIM  or Cerberus to salavage.  BTW, I read the 2nd ME book and over 100 pages of the 3rd.  I hate TIM more  now.  Didn't think that was possible.

Good, I might get one if it looks more like in game Liara.

No, I doubt very much any of Shepards I have with Liara would leave her for wanting kids.  Tool Shepard would be freaking  if it wasn't discussed first.

Meh on the co-op.  I'll see how it works before giving final judgement on it.

No, in my Renegades Universe Liara is very much my Shepard's Overlord. What she wants, she gets.
The Council and the Rachni Queen owe their lives to Liara.

But they should have the babies after ME3. I really don't want to seduce Kelly in ME3, just because I'm too lazy to feed the children. :P

E.W. Shepard does not have any desires to have a baby with Liara ... so question would be, would Liara leave Shepard because she won't have kids with her? Posted Image

For some odd reason, I doubt Liara would leave over that.  Liara has what she wants already.  Shepard.  I would think children would be a bonus for her.

If Liara were to leave Shepard after the war, what do you think she would leave him/her for?

What would be her line to cross? Posted Image

I have never really thought of that.

Perhaps they just drifted apart? :(

Perhaps if they had a child before it happend. It would sorta be like with Kirk and the doctor in "Wrath of Khan" with her wanting to raise their child with her because "You had your world and I had mine, and I wanted him in mine. Not chasing around the galaxy with his(or her in this case) father"?

Honestly, never thought of it. Because I do not want it to happen.

Like Lizardviking said, I've never thought about it.

Shepard cheating might make Liara leave.   Other than that, I'm not thinking of much off the top of my head.

lol liara wouldnt leave shepard because of kids. she would enjoy their time together and after shepard died she'd find someone else to have kids with or just not have them

if liara were into powerful humans who would she leave shep to have kids with? TIMmy? Anderson? not a lot of choices at the 'bad azz human of the year" awards: Shepard won everything

Unless Liara is deemed a doormat to Shepard though ... What do you think would be her reason to leave?

If not because of something Shepard did or did not do ... Maybe her own personal reason.

Never really thought of this myself. Hmmm. Posted Image

I also remember a dev tweeting that if you don't do every single side mission (he put it as "search the entire galaxy") you could get a sad ending. In other words, if you don’t do A, B, & C then D happens to a squadmate.  That was quite some time ago, however.

I doubt Liara would leave Shepard over anything short of catastophic.  Letting Thesia be destroyed perhaps, if that is even an option in hte game. Though it would be interesting if Liara were forced to chose between Shepard and her position as the SB.

You know, that could be a divider between Shepard & Liara. If she grows to really love the whole Shadow Broker role and Shepard (like mine) isn't too hot on it. That could be a reason that she (Liara) might send Shepard on her way. After the war, information will still be power.

If she gained information that would help the asaris but damage the humans and Shepard found out. That would be a moment when E.W. Shepard and Liara would go rounds. Not physically but verbally. That could end their romance although they would still care for each other.

I would like to think that after facing the greatest threat to ever assail the galaxy together and when even such things as death could not keep them apart that nothing could seperate them again.

Just my little dream world Posted Image

But as well I have never given that any thought nor am I perticularly interested in doing so now, I want them together Posted Image.
