From all the things that have been said about the ending, from devs and voice actors, I'm assuming that Shep will die, no matter what. It's going to be heartbreaking for me, as I'm sure it will be for the rest of you. I've become so attached to my Shep. Watching her die in ME2 was bad enough. Losing her forever is going to be devastating.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! what about my bondmate ceremony and lots of blue children and happily ever after? :crying:

I will not be heartbroken if my Shepard dies AGAIN, I will be bored and dissapointed by the lack of creativity by the writers.
It seems like Shepard dies in the end of ME1, then Shepard dies in the beginning of ME2, Shepard can die in the end of ME2. Oh and I pretty sure Shepard can die again in the Arrival. The idea that there could be only one ending of ME3, where Shepard dies (again), would be more like a running gag, then a fitting ending for the trilogy.

If the VA choke up, I speculate it's about Anderson. I have a feeling that his time is running out in ME3.:crying:

I want to have a bonding ceromony and blue children as well, oh and nice picture Posted Image.

Anyway I seriously doubt that they would only make one ending, and one where shepard dies at that.
They have said that it is possible to get the "optimal ending if doing ..." which means that there must be more than one ending, and Shepard dieing does not seem perticularly "optimal" to me Posted Image

It is sad to see her leaving though I really like the "come back soon Liara" shepard makes there :)

It would feel really stupid if a trilogy, which is all about your decisions, would have just a one ending. Through out all three games, you've created the story yourself through your decisions and choices but then you can't affect on how it's all going to end. It would feel like it doesn't matter how I'm going to play that trilogy or what I do and decide because I'm going to die anyway so what the hell.

Ofc we need to have an ending where Shepard dies, because it wouldn't make sense if Shepard survives no matter what  but it can't be the only ending. That would just suck...

I would be surprised if he doesn't end up an indoctrinated thrall fighting Shepard sooner or later. He stays behind on earth in the presence of a few 100 Reapers.... Yeah didn't see that coming. I might have choke up if after you beat Andersson, he breaks free of indoctrination for a few seconds like Benezia did, and asks Shepard to kill him quickly before the Reapers take over his mind again. Not a lame: "You always made me proud Liara". *Angry face* "Die!" but

"Shepard. Please! End it before it's too late" *Hands Shepard a pistol*
With the right music I think a scene like this could be very powerful.

Not a chance. Shepard will definitely be able to get himself killed in ME3 but it's not going to be mandatory. For a game that's being promoted with 'Your choices really do matter' and 'We've got so many different endings for ME3' it would be the biggest fail of the year if Shepard always gets killed, no matter what you do. Now I can't see BioWare pulling something like that. There will be endings where Shepard survives, I'm sure of it.

How far off the straight and narrow path do you think Liara went during those two years before Shepard returned to her?

Possible. But I wonder if at times if she accidently caused colleteral damage.

I'm going to have to say yes, cause when she went after Vasir she didn't seem all that upset when that civilain woman was grabbed nor did she concern herself over Vasir's death. She only wanted the information....

Let's also not forget about her assistant.Posted Image

Well she did not shot the hostage and I would hardly call Vasir "colleteral damage".

I personally believe that while she would likely have disregarded the law on more than one occassion she held true to her moral compass whenever possible*, she was an information broker afterall not the leader of an guild of assassins or something smilar.

*so not when dealing with people we would normally want to kill, particularly SB agents.

I like this response. I WILL keep this in mind. Thank you...

This is my first post in this thread (mainly because I didn't consider myself a Liara fan before). I recently played Lair of the Shadow Broker with my femShep, and was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed playing with Liara. Before this DLC, Liara was pretty much the character I always badmouthed when talking with friends about the game. Now, I consider her a potential candidate for most interesting female companion. That's quite a 180 on my behalf and nobody could be more surprised than me. ;)

So, I went back to my almost-forgotten dudeShep, made him break up with his current LI (whyyyy does he have to sound like such a douche when doing so?), played LotSB with him and put him back with Liara. And I'm actually looking forward to see what happens with his romance with Liara in ME3. There was a lot of thought put into their conversation in the DLC and the way they reconciled was a lot better than some of the other ME and ME2 romance paths.

I probably won't post regularly in this thread, but I just wanted to share my thoughts. I feel that LotSB indicates that the Bioware writers are trying to make the romances a bit more thoughtful than before. Now I'm hoping for similarly interesting romance paths for my femShep and Kaidan. :)

So what was it about Liara that changed your mind? Liara fans WANT TO KNOW! lol Posted Image

Okay, so I've just been thinking here (it can be that this is already being asked, but anyways...) are we going to hear "I love you" -line in ME3? Or can we even say that Liara and Shepard are in love yet, because they've only been together for relatively short time. Ofc they had some time to get to know each other between ME1 and 2 before Shepard got killed and I quess Shepard will spend some time in the SB base between ME2 & 3 ;) but still everything has happened so fast. So we know that they like each other very much but can we say that they love each other? Any thoughts?

Personally, I want to have a bondmate ceremony and blue children so I definitely want to have that "I love you" -part too ^_^

I will jump on this band wagon! I LOVE YOU TOO LIARA!

I wonder if we get to ask Liara about that in ME3 and if so, if her opinion on her behavior during her quest to hunt the Shadow broker has changed at all. During Lotsb she kind of said she wasn't sorry for what she had done, including getting Sekat killed, but that Liara was still ruled by her anger at the Shadow Broker. I wonder what she'll say if you ask her about it in ME3, considering several months passed since that showdown both on Illium and on the Shadow Broker base..

It would be quite interesting to see if she has gone more paragon-y and now that she can see things more clearly regrets somethings or whether she considers what she has done justified.

Though when all is said and done I still don't think she actually did anything really bad. paragade/renegade or not I can't see  her deliberatly killing someone who isn't a direct enemy of hers, so I don't think she really has much to regret about her actions, she might not be proud of it but still.

I sometimes think we forget who Liara's mom was. She is the only daughter of a very powerful Matriarch. I doubt that she would regret or feel really bad about the things that she did. Perhaps sorry they had to happen, but "I believe" she has seen with her own two eyes that sometime sacrifice have to be made to accomplish a particular goal.  Posted Image

No, actually I think it's one of the ending.  Hale and Meer did a panel together today.  Not that either one gave anything away, but one of the comments made it sound like Shepard might not die in ME3.  It's just a feeling I got from it.  Both sorta said it.

There was one person dressed up as Liara.  I got her picture.

Some of the others dressed up as ME characters.

Since I posted a pic of Hale after I got her autograph on Friday.  This is Meer yesterday after he signed both ME and ME2.

One last picture.  Meer and Hale from today's panel.

ETA: Though the "Liara" picture is a little creepy

Depends entirely on the importance of the goal and the magnitude of the sacrifice.

They both said, "I should go" in unsion.  It was a great time.  Meer did a vorcha yesterday.  And our favorite volus, Biotic God.

Best thing about Meer was how he knows the actors that play Conrad and al-Jilani and enjoyed punching her and shooting Conrad in the foot.  I was chuckling when he said it yesterday and today.

Both did the line before punching al-Jilani with the punch sound effect.  I lol'ed at that too.

I'm still bummed that Ali Hillis couldn't make it.  I would have loved to meet her.  Her tweets crack me up and she seems very nice, but she did text Jen Hale last night to tell us fans she was sorry she couldn't make it and would see us next year.  :o

"EDIT"

Thanks for the pictures Ladyvader. I am starting to feel quite jealous now.

I felt very underdressed all three days.  I went in normal clothes.  The only thing I could have dressed up as is a Jedi and I really only have a robe and lightsaber.

I actually liked her look.  It was a little off.  Not like others have it perfect, because I saw some from ComicCon and they looked about the same.  She did have Liara's freckles, so score +100 for that because even Dark Horse Comics missed Liara's freckles.

Yes, Hale did say it was about Garrus today, but she didn't say that yesterday.

She said it was a scene with Garrus.  Maybe it was one with Garrus as the LI.  They didn't really give any details.  I think they wanted to say more, but they just can't.

Bioware execs have their fingers hovering over the detonaters for the voice actors' explosive ankle bracelets, just waiting for them to try.
