I think I'll have kind of empty feeling for a moment, like okay now it's over, no more ME, ever, period. So I don't think I'm going to be sad exactly, but feeling empty, we've all waited ME3 for so long and finally we get it and then we complete this great story and then there is nothing, nothing to wait for anymore. And I think that the story of Mass Effect is something we'll never see again and we definitely haven't seen before ME, with this save file transferring feature and all. But luckily we can always re-play ME trilogy, but I always fall for those same choices and for Liara ofc so I'm not even trying to get any different outcomes, maybe after I've completed the whole trilogy I'll try something new.

I have two stories to complete when ME3 comes out which means goodbye a week + of my life. Tons of coffee, diet coke, popcorn, ramen (that human delicacy) and ME3!

Femshep & Liara story Image IPB

Maleshep & Ash/Miranda triangleImage IPB

I'm more concerned about how the Ash/Miranda story will end though so that will be played first. Image IPB

Then with new characters being added in ME3 ... s/s relationships started ... I can see new Shepards being created and more stories to create. *Happy dance! Happy dance!*

Maybe the "It's not tomorrow yet" line fits the scene better, but I don't like Liara's reaction.
Her angry look is not something I want from a romance conclusion.
Or maybe I see the whole thing completely wrong, I don't know.

I would have been pleased if they had made a third option, for that scene. But not "I should go".

I think both fit the scene really well but the "Blue children" line is best imo, it really just depends on how you want it to play out.

Leia Shepard meant it when she said it.  :innocent:

Uh oh. You don't think Liara thought it was just a joke do you?:o

ME3 is going to be difficult to play. With Liara on the ship it's going to take every ounce of willpower I have to actually do missions and not run straight to Liara's room after every mission to see if she has something new to say:?

Liara might have thought that is was said in jest, but that doesn't mean they can't discuess it more in detail at a later date.  ^_^

That is why my first playthrough is the longest.  I tend to talk to everyone all the time even though I get told, "Can it's wait?  I'm in the middle of calibrations.":?  I will be going around to see if Liara or any other squaddie has anything new to say.

I'm gonna be pretty sad when ME3 ends :/

That depends on how ME3 ends for me I suppose. Of course I'll be a little sad because an awesome trilogy is now over and we'll be seeing no more Mass Effect (Don't know what they'll do with ME4 but it'll be a lot different without Shepard, that's for sure).

I guess the end of ME affects how I feel when it's over. I'm hoping for a Shepard/Liara walk off into the distance, holding hands, talking about the future kind of ending (or maybe they fly off). As long as they're together I'll be happy. Definitely no Shepard dies or worse, Shepard dissapears and is never seen again ending. Might watch a 'Shepard dies but Liara lives' ending on youtube eventually though with Ali Hillis' superb sad!Liara voice acting in Lotsb, I do not know if I have the strenght to watch a scene like that.

I think I'll have kind of empty feeling for a moment, like okay now it's over, no more ME, ever, period. I'm also very inimaginative like that. I've got 6 Shep's now. 1 of each class. Working on my Vanguard in ME2 but only just started. After this playthrough is finished, I'll do one more ME1/ME2 playthrough early next year, another soldier I think. All my characters are with Liara, makes it harder to decide which one to import first. All my characters also saved the council, the rachni, saved the genophage cure, rewrote the heretics etc etc so if I get wholly different outcomes, it's because of my actions in ME3.

I'll do my best not to quicksave and quickload in ME3. I do that from time to time if things aren't going as planned. But with 6 (7 by then) playthroughs, I should be able to get at least one perfect ending right?:innocent:

I will be going around to see if Liara or any other squaddie has anything new to say.

I do hope Liara doesn't say something like: There's a lot to do Shepard, can we talk later? Instead, let us just 'investigate' the same things over and over if there's no more dialogue.

"I wanted to talk"
"Of course Shepard, what did you want to talk about?"
"I should go"

Is still better than

"Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations."

I agree.  It's better to be the one to blow off the talk than be blown off.  Which is why a lot of the time I only talk to some people when I have to talk to them to move their LM forward.

I still wish ME used the DAO style conversations. Only without approval, have certain subjects only become available after a certain amount of time as passed. I loved how you could just go to a party member in camp in DAO and talk about all sorts of things at the speed of your liking. I had hoped ME would become more like DA in this regard but sadly DA2 was more like ME instead....When it came to conversation that is...

At least ME didn't make talking to your squadmates a bloody quest. If I was playing ME2 and got "Journal Update - Talk to Tali" every time she had something to say I'd just be pissed off. The way things are now though, the ME games kinda let you take things at your own pace a bit like DA:O, there just isn't enough dialogue. I can hardly blame Bioware though considering the amount of squadmates in the game.

Which is why I'm glad Casey said there would be less squadmembers. Let's face it, 12 was just way too many. I can understand wanting a big team of specialists to take out a collector base, rather than 2 alliance soldiers, a krogan mercenary, a Csec officer and a very cute Asari scientist. The total number of squadmembers fitted ME2 well but for ME3, I'd prefer a smaller squad with more depth. It seems like we're getting just that:)

I'd be content with the ME squad to be honest.  Vega is the VS replacement to bring it back up to six.  l For some reason I see Wrex with Shepard for a mission or a few, but not always available.  But then the same could be said about most of the ME2 squad.  Mission or two, or a cameo.

It's going to be interesting to see how the Bioware team works out all the stories if they are limiting the core team.

How is Miranda, Thane, Zaeed, Grunt, Jack, Samara, Jacob, etc going to be put into the game. I may not have romanced most characters but some are still important in my playthrough and I'd hate for other players not having very much time with their characters.

The ME1 characters have been revealed, more or less, as being in the game while ME2 characters are up in the air, besides Mordin & Legion ... Nothing yet on Miranda, Jacob, Samara, Morinth Image IPB, Zaeed, Kasumi ... and very little on Jack and Thane.

I have a feeling that all team members may float in and out and that a "core team" may not really apply this round. But who knows, only time will tell how the game is set up. It just seems that if this is all out war your team would be sent on other missions and you would be picking up other team members.

Or at least go to Thessia with Liara & Ashley, meet Samara and as she becomes part of the mission you choose which team mate (Ash or Liara) to keep ... think LotSB when you get in the taxi with Liara.

That would make it more exciting to me. Image IPB

Guys, I just got the LOTSB DLC... I know, I know, I'm so behind... but it was epic ^_^  Liara is so freakin' awesome.

Thanks for the review on Red Sand.. lol... crazy isn't it..

Tomorrow will be another chapter.. keep an eye out and p.s. welcome to the club... Liara fans are ALWAYS welcomed.

^_^ Thanky.  Ha, love it for it's originality.  Just read it; epic, though sad to see it end

My beta reader has convinced me to continue with it.. but it will be a little bit as another story is getting most of the attention right now.. When Fates Collide.

I also went round visiting every single crew member after doing a mission just to see if they had anything more to say in both ME's.

Wasn't until my 4/5th playthrough that I eventually stopped doing the rounds after learning when someone had nothing else to say to me :P

Did suck not having Liara onboard though

Indeed. Now if only Liara had some very sweet line to say upon initiating dialogue if she's in romance with Shepard, like Leliana in DAO, that would totally make my day.

Liara: "I'm here for you"

So true I did that as practically every time, sometimes I would also go talk to Liara even when she had nothing to say and pick those small-talk lines simply to hear her voice and be with her Image IPB

Despite green being one of my favourtie colours and I think that the Predator L armour looks really good on Liara in ME1 I don't really like that particular green and white outfit on her. but that is one picture is relly good Image IPB

Yes!:D That's what made the DAO romances actual romances IMO rather than the quick fling that is any ME romance so far (apart from Liara if you have played Lotsb). That's also why I wasn't particularly happy DA2's romances became more like ME's. I would've liked to see it the other way around. The ability to just head for camp and chat with your LI as much as you want and be able to kiss them at any time while there just made it seem much more like a true romance.

ME1's talk, talk, talk, ki..[darn you joker], sex was great for that game, but for ME3, now that Liara and Shepard are already together, the party camp idea would work on the normandy. Can't see it happening though:(

If you have some spare time you should really consider playing Dragon Age Origins. It's awesome. I dare say it's still the best game I've ever played, despite having a few flaws.

The ultimate edition is not available in my country sadly but if it is in yours, you should consider getting it. It's absolutely worth the price. Just some friendly advice here :innocent:. I still remember the first time I started a playthrough. Male human noble, and Duncan started telling me about my origin, the background of my family, the state of Ferelden. Ahh good times...^_^

Like Robhuzz said, you should buy DA:O. It should be pretty cheap.

Althrough I suggest skipping DA2. There are far better things to spend your money on.

After all the references made to Knight Of The Old Republic, Dragon Age & Dragon Age II ... I picked up these games. I have just started Dragon Age and while I haven't played too much of it I do love all the banter. I find that I just keep stopping and listening to the two characters go back & forth.

I just hope that this type of chatter is put in ME3. I would love to hear Liara and Kaidan talk or Garrus and Tali.

Because even though DA and ME games are produced by different teams, they do take hints and ideas from eachother. After the amazing success that was DAO, the ME2 team could've decided to use the same character interaction and romance plot that DAO had. They chose not to. Then DA2 should've used the same system that DAO used (Party camp, ability to talk to your party members everywhere etc), instead that game too used the ME system. To me this seems BioWare actually wants to use the ME system rather than the DAO system... Too bad I'd say:mellow:

Call me crazy but I prefer the ME system to DA's. On my later playthroughs in DA I always wind up exhausting all the dialog far before the game is finnished. Making the game more dull than it should.
