Here is one of the tweets ... Posted Image

We're trying to change up the expectations on how and when you can talk to your crew in #[/s]ME3. Lots of new ways to hang w/ them. (CHud June 14th) ... in response to "will Shep be able to hang out with crew this time? Like Eat, hang, Holo-deck-like mini games on Normandy?"

EDIT: TOP

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And for those not on Twitter here were a few tweets/retweets from CHUD

"Will #[/s]ME3 be as long as #[/s]ME2?” Might be longer. (CHud 22 Oct)

Voicing #[/s]MassEffect3 today. EDI is getting a little cheeky...so fun! (trutriciahelfer 19 Oct)

Lots of interest in character-oriented DLC. Note that for #[/s]MassEffect3 especially, DLC could take place in settings other than post-game. (CHud 10 Oct)

"Will Liara have a face texture like her LOTSB face?” We haven't shown the latest version of her. Still not final. (CHud 25 Sep)

"Will we have anymore PERMANENT squad members?" In the galactic war of #[/s]ME3, nothing can be assumed permanent. (CHud 23 Sep)

@missalihillis: @CaseyDHudson "Hang in there Case!” Thanks! You already sound great in the game. Ali is the voice of Liara, people! (CHud 13 Sep)

Heard some fantastic new voice work today in #[/s]ME3 from @SethGreen and @trutriciahelfer. The characters are really starting to come alive! (CHud 9 Sep)

"Will we be able to customize any of the Normandy itself” Fun stuff planned for customizing your quarters. (CHud 1 Sep)

"Will the Citadel be explorable again like it was in ME1?” Yes, we had a 2 hour meeting today exploring it. (CHud 26 Aug)

The most expensive complication in #[/s]ME3 development is integrating your past decisions, so that will definitely be a big part of the game. (CHud 9 Aug)

Can't comment on possible endings without spoiling the story, but #[/s]ME3 will involve lots of life & death decisions. (CHud 23 Jun)

We'll have more to share soon, but in a story with twists and surprises, how people join or leave you is part of the discovery. (CHud 21 Jun)

Guess the main storyline might have to wait. Most important is redecorating Shep's quarters in accordance with both Shepard and Liara's wishes.

This one really interests me ...

This means that we could see DLC's for our Shepard in the future. Side missions like LotSB could become available down the road. That would be cool. But probably wishful thinking.

Not to put a downer on it or anything but it might be the same as in DAO, where the post game save actually takes place before the final battle. Would be useful in ME3 if Shepard has died in the final battle. But let's hope not...

With all the stories that are wrapped in ME3 I could see where DLC's could work.

Many people on this forum have asked for their own DLC/LI as was seen with LotSB/Liara ... Bioware could produce DLC's for other LI's. These could be added to the in-game like LotSB was. It would be meant to be played in-game and not before the final battle though.

I just think this might be an option given that all romances must be tied up, battles fought, etc in a short time frame if the game is about the same play time as ME2. And can you imagine how much data will need to be in the game to capture all the potential stories? Wow! ME3 will be a multi-disc set. Not that I would mind myself.

If say your LI isn't one of the main squaddies this time around a DLC could give you additional time. Although I still say that Ash & Kaidan deserve DLC's as well.

Just throwing ideas out. Not that Bioware is listening though ... Posted Image

DLC for everyone? Too much!
Still, I thought Ash/Kaiden should of been in Arrival.
Too bad it really didn't turn out anything like LOTSB.

Im tired of people saying Shepard owes people especially Liara and Cerberus. In retrospect Shepard and Liara are even considering the fact he saved her on Therum.

Reading this made me hear Simon & Garfunkel's "I am a Rock".

Shepard did not get to where she is today all on her lonesome. There were influences starting from birth and it continued through the ME events to date.

Nihlus picked her for a potential Spectre, Anderson picked her to be on the Normandy (maybe because of Nihlus), Tali showed Saren to be a traitor and as such gave Shepard the opening to become a Spectre, Benezia in a moment of clarity gave intel that helped them get to Ilos, Liara retrieved the Commander's body, Miranda was the project leader to revive the Commander, etc. etc. etc.

Life is a series of dominoes.

No successful person gets to where they are all on their own. Shepard is no exception.

But I agree that while she has had help, she has also saved everyone 10xover to not have to send thank you cards. The galaxy will be saved by Shepard and the teams that she (or he) has led starting with ME1. All of the characters played an important role and should be remembered ... But Shepard was the leader and the hero of the story.

Or at least in my story. Posted Image

I don't really understand what point your trying to make with this im fully aware that Shepard didn't reach the pinnacles he planned to reach (Drizzy refrence pay attention) by himself/herself.

What im talking about is how people aways sometime say that he owes people like Cerberus or Liara everything.

Idk maybe its cuz i think a lot differently then people im not sure. I only feel like i owe something to someone if i ask for something. If someone gives me something i don't ask im going to appreciate it but i don't feel like i owe them.

But i will concede to you is the part where i said everyone owes Shepard that right there was more me basking in my pixelated ego of being Shepard and just being a bawss.

I agree that the word "owe" is not accurate ... Shepard has alot to be thankful for in regards to the help of others but "owing" anyone is incorrect. Grateful - yes. Owe- no.

Truth be told ... after Shepard and the teams that (s)he led throughout ME1-3 are victorious against the reapers, I would say that the galaxy does owe them their gratitude for life though.

That DLC is okay.  Not my favorite, but better the most of the DLC for DA:O.

There is no way the VS could have been in Arrival.  Shepard wasn't Alliance which makes it easier to railroad Shepard when it comes to the batarians.  If any actual member of the Alliance was with Shepard, the Alliance couldn't say it's wasn't an Alliance operations.  Which they can do with Shepard.

It just hit me - this really drives home Liara's loyalty. Let's think about this for a moment. Romance or no romance, Paragon or Renegade, Therum first or last, Liara's been in Shepard's mind, seen him/her at the best and worst, knows Shep better than anyone except (maybe) Shepard him/herself...and does whatever it takes to rescue the body on the slimmest of chances that Cerberus will pull off a miracle. No matter what.

Not all of my Shepards are romancing her, but every last one of them will make anyone who messes with Liara very, very sorry.

I agree. Shepard owes Liara - well - everything. Even if not romanced she is by far the most supportive and friendly character out there.:)

Shepard does not owe her sh*t, Shepard doesn't owe Cerberus sh*t, Shepard owes no one sh*t, everyone owes Shepard.

Im tired of people saying Shepard owes people especially Liara and Cerberus. In retrospect Shepard and Liara are even considering the fact he saved her on Therum.

Sure, Shepard rescued Liara, and took some pretty big risks to do so. But a heavily armed marine and his two walking superweapon partners bailing out a potential lead from one krogan and some geth do not equal one traumatized archaeologist and her untrustworthy triple-agent rescuing you from a hyper-advanced species and the galaxy's most powerful fixer...after you're dead...because she cares that much, regardless of romance. This after she helped you hunt down her own mother (and possibly fought with you against her).

Bolded part: please explain because i really doubt Liara was still a traumatized wittle bittwy archaeologist after she served on Shepards ship.
Also saving a life is saving  life really not really how you do it. Cuz are you telling me if i saved your life by the using the himelick on you'd appreciate less then if i ran through a burning building and a fireman carried your ass out of there. Is one of them more badass yes of course but would you appreciate one more?

Also as for your picture no one said anything about not having repect for her i think some of you guys missed my point. Can my Shepard appreciate what she did for him yes, does my Shepard feel like he owes her no. Should my Shepard like he owes her no.

Here are two scenarios that actually happened to me one where i owe the person another where i don't.:

Hot summer day my friend is giving me a ride home after playing some soccer and we pass by DQ and i ask can i get an ice cream, and hes like ok im getting a milkshare them anyway. so im alright good looks i owe you. Because he had the choice of getting me the ice cream or not.

Cold fall day im at my school's football game, and its halftime so im going to the bathroom and then of my teamates from soccer ask me yo you want anything from the concession stand (you could prolly guess he's a freashman). And im like oh word and he hooks me up with a gatorade and skittles. I don't owe him. Why? cuz hes a freshman nah but seriously i didnt ask him for squat and he just bought me some food.

Much like Shepard didn't ask to be revived but just was he didn't really have a choice of saying yes or no seeing as how he/she was...dead.

Actually, I think it makes more sense if the VS was with you. Seeing as how on Horizon, they where trying to get proof of the Collector's involvment with the Reapers. It could of also acted up as check up on you and whether Cerberus is part of the Collector attacks.

ME3's trial takes place on Earth after all. Eh, then again, that's just my thinking on a wasted opportunity.
I don't hate it, but I guess I was expecting something more like LOTSB. :)

The hope was always that the VS would be in the last DLC after Liara got her DLC ... and really it would have been great if they would have figured out a way to include them. Even if it just meant that Shepard met them briefly for intel. The VS fans were really hoping ... but nope. Nothing.

As for me, I didn't really care for it because it felt "combat only" ... I quit playing shooter games after OD'ing on Doom & Wolfenstein years ago. Mass Effect brought me back for the role play & interaction of characters. The combat part was okay but it just lacked heart for me.

I really think the devs thought about a DLC for the VS, like they did with Liara's DLC. I also think they changed their mind and decided to put that in ME3. We'll have to wait and see where it goes.

I would have like a VS DLC, but we didn't get it.

I've never been a big fan of shooters, I spend most of my time playing RPGs or action/adventure games like GTA.

Not meaning to complain though since I think overall they have giving us a great world to play in! Posted Image

I keep trying to play Dragon Age but I'm finding it hard to get into. Like the banter but I'm not a fan of that genre (dragons, wizards, elves) so I am struggling ... and the Fade challenge was just too frickin' long and boring for me. I thought me and my character were going to die there.

Now Red Dead Redemption took up my weekend because I do love the old west ... if only Bioware would do some kind of RPG based in the old west. I would like to play a female gunslinger or a Marshall.

I would so love a western RPG.  I think that would be so much fun.  I might actually play a bad bad evil type person in it too.  I tend to be very light side/paragon type player, but a western might be more fun as a baddie.

Has anyone watch yesterday's episode of BioWare TV?  OMG, they showed a new creature.  One of the asari that has been Reaperfied.  It looks wicked.  Too bad they will have to die by Leia Shepard and Liara's hands though.  Oops, sorry there asari, you shouldn't have become Reaperfied..

You mean huskified?^_^

Thanks again for the info saved me some grief. Still have a bit to go before Shadow Broker but I'm playing it with an easy mind.

Some more Liara admiration:
My first ME1 playthrough I took Wrex and Garrus for the final boss fight. It was long, it was moderately difficult, it felt exhausting but I prevailed (sniped the sh!t of that husk-hopper-Saren thing). Second playthrough I did two things differently. One- loaded a level X shotgun with explosive rounds (I'm an Inflitrator so shotgun's aren't my thing but with explosive rounds it really doesn't matter) and two- I brought Liara with me.

Holy crap! That fight was over in like 5 min. She was tossing him around like a ragdoll everytime her powers recharged and I'd be there waiting with my boomstick, ready to unleash the pain. I have never been more hot for her:wub:

Husks are Reaperfied as far as I am concerned.  The asari didn't look like a husk to me.

I always take Liara with me to final fight on the Citadel.  She's with me always even if my Shepard is an Adept.  Two kick ass biotics is better than one.

I don't remember all the differences, but for one, Shepard says "You kept me out of the collector's hands, without you I couldn't have come back. Thank you" instead of "My mission is important Liara" Finally leaving the darn mission behind a go a little more personal, I mean.. she is your LI after all Shepard. Think about something other than the mission for just a second. I find the 'mission' part to be cringeworthy.

*pic snip*

Same here. Nothing beats the sight of Geth and Krogan floating off into the distance after being hit with continuous singularity/lift/throw combos :)

Also, finally caught up with the thread and this is my first post as a dyed in the wool femshep/Liaramancer for each of my playthrough's so far.

First off, don't use the 'reason for anger' dialogue option when it comes up. You get a different dialogue when you start Lotsb and Shepard's response is downright cringeworthy if you pick the 'reason for anger' dialogue. Don't ask about it and Liara will tell you about it later.

Wait. what?
I have always asked her the reasons for her anger as I wanted to both know and comfort her (however bad that particular line is Posted Image).
What does she say in LotSB if you don't ask her after helping with the Observer?

I don't remember all the differences, but for one, Shepard says "You kept me out of the collector's hands, without you I couldn't have come back. Thank you" instead of "My mission is important Liara" Finally leaving the darn mission behind a go a little more personal, I mean.. she is your LI after all Shepard. Think about something other than the mission for just a second. I find the 'mission' part to be cringeworthy.

Okay, thanks. I will have to remember that for next time.
And I could not agree more about that line, I sat there looking for a "thank you for saving my life Liara" or a "you did the right thing, now I can also be with you again" line for I don't know how long Posted Image.
