Sadly, since all Krogan have armor covering their health bar, a singularity wouldn't do anything... You'd still need to shoot them a lot before singularity even works :| Might have to take down the difficulty again to be able to make nice combos between Shepard and Liara. She's going to be on my squad for a long while...

The biotic powers were much cooler in ME1 when you could just trap dozen enemies with one singularity. When all powers had their own cooldowns instead of this "general" cooldown after using a power, you were able to do these cool combos, missed that in ME2 after importing my ME1 adept playthrough :( It's stupid that biotics are so ineffective in ME2, singularity's radius is too small and you can't use biotics against shields or armor. Biotics were just so OP in ME1  But luckily having a second biotic in a team helped with this combo stuff, so if ME3 is going to use same kind of battle mechanics as ME2, it's just a another good reason to pick Liara in my squad for every mission ;)

I think one of my best runthroughs of LotSB was when I took Miranda along with my adept Shepard and Liara. I just used pull, warp-bombed with Liara, pull again, warp-bomb with Miranda and then pull again and then warp bombed with Shepard. It's even better when you pull enemies and your squadmates aren't in your line of sight so their powers work instantly.

Yep, Pull + Warp is a great combo in ME2, especially because warp "detonates" other active biotic powers like pull doing lots of damage :wizard:

I play on casual and no armor on their health bar.  They charged at me while I was in the lower tunnels on Feros and Liara saved my behind by making them go flying in the air.  Love that.  <3

That's awesome indeed. It can still get a step better by using lift on charging krogan/ geth destroyers on the citadel as well, they simply fly off the screen and are gone. Easy as pie. It's even better in Lotsb though, make people fly with a nice singularity/pull + Throw/concussive shot combo and they not only fly away but they also get struck by lightning. Poor agents, but then their lives were forfeit when they attacked Liara anyway....

in ME2 I really missed being able to just create lift or singularity with either Liara or my adept Shepard and then push with the other and the enemies just flew, even on insanity.
My pride prevents me from playing ME2 on anything short of hardcore, mostly on insanity and I really miss being able to just throw people around like ragdolls. I would be completly villing to sacrifice fast recharge time to have more impressive biotic effects, especially some that bypass immunties/resistances or whatever they call it.

I prefer to play on either casual or normal.  I play for the story not the combat.  I have the insanity achievement for ME2, but I have yet to get it for ME1.  It's the only one I have left too because I finished off Pinnicle Station last night.  Maybe I'll do what I did for the hardcore.  Do the main missions and be done with it.

I do think she is still loves learning about the Protheans.  It's her passion.  I don't know if there is anything more for her to learn though.  Maybe Liara and Shepard take a trip to Ilos and explore more of the planet.  I can really see her doing that actually.  I haven't written anything about that, but who knows.  I may in the future.

I have for the most part stopped playing much game wise including the ME1 redo of my canon femShep.  I started that run last week and only picked up Liara and done Pinnicle Station(Finally got around to downloading it).   I've been too busy working on my latest story.  Or trying to anyway.

IMO, one of the most heartening parts of the early LotSB play is seeing all the Prothean artifacts in her apartment. She may have gotten serious about the information broker thing, but behind all the barriers and grief, the Liara we know and love is still in there.

Speaking of LotSB, I just got through that on my own canon Shep replay. Goddess, watching Liara come back to life is so awesome. "You just...say these things!" March is too dang far away...

Hello, guys. You may not remember me, but I used to frequent one of the older Liara threads.

All I can say about here is: wow, look at how far she has come. From archeologist, to heroine, to infomation broker and finally one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy. The 100 and something Asari which captured my Commander's heart -

I best stop before I ramble.

Just sharing a couple tweets ...

"Played through all the key relationships. Deepest, strongest I've seen in a game. These characters are real people." - Mac Walters (Lead Writer Mass Effect series)

"It's one of the things I'm most proud of the writing team for on this game. It'll warrant many many playthroughs!" - Michael Gamble (Producer on the Mass Effect franchise at BioWare.)

Positive things being tweeted again on relationships.

Noticed he said key relationships.  That makes me wonder if he is only referring about the relastionships with the LI or all of them.

Is it March yet.

Thanks for sharing PMC.

I love Liara's apartment on Illium. It's where her and Shepard first move to when they get to Illium. She kept up the payments on it after Shepard's comments of marriage, old age, and lots of blue children. The only thing Liara didn't do was hire someone to clean it up the mess Vasir created when looking through Liara's stuff. Shepard teased her about it too. The only thing that got fixed was the window and the building owner did that.

It's a little small for lots of blue children, but it was the first place they lived. Or at least that is how I head canon it. Now they live in a four bedroom apartment.

Yep, Liara's apartment on Illium is really nice. The first time I played LotSB I was like "wow, this is one helluva apartment" Could've spent more time in there :wizard:

This part in your fanfic where Liara and Shepard moved back to Liara's apartment on Illium while it was still messed up after this Vasir thing, reminded me about this scene in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, where they first tore up that house completely and after that they ate breakfast there. But I liked that part in your fanfic, like I liked the rest of it too.

My latest character just went to Illium. I postponed it for a while, allowing Shepard to do the collector ship and several loyalty missions before going to Illium. All this time I've RP'ed this Shepard as being tough as nails. He didn't ask TIM about the whereabouts of his former crew at all, thus he didn't know Liara was on Illium. After Horizon, when TIM asked if he put his past behind him, he said he cared only about the mission.

Now this Asari on Illium says Liara is there and wishes to speak to Shepard. Suddenly remembering his feelings for Liara and what they had, his entire world is suddenly put upside down as he remembers a certain moment from 2 years ago...

While logic and emotion each play into the dicision morals, in my mind, does not.
Saving the one you love is an emotional decision; saving the many that you do not love is a logical decision.
Both are moral they just defirenciate between being selfish and selfless.
Which ever you choose would depend on wichever of emotion or logic has a greater hold over you, not whether you are a good or evil person.
An amoral dicision (speaking very much in black and white here) would be to not save anyone and let them all die.

I'm certain those fifteen billion people that are left to die because you think Liara is cute will see the undeniable fairness of your argument.

I know I shouldn't expect everyone to have the empathy and emotional maturity required to see a multitude of people as anything more than an abstract concept. Sometimes I'm too optimistic for my own good. We've been over this before though, and it's not a subject that I can discuss politely. Time to press on.

I think the video more than makes up for anyone's comments.. YEAH TEAM BLUE...

although, Liara looks like she's been hitting one too many dance clubs with Shepard. Her dance partner is thinking, "what happened to your asari moves?"

I've never seen that movie.  Too funny.  When I did my PC run of the DLC.  I Fraps the apartment.  It's an awesome apartment.  Nicer than my house.  :P

Seems so. Her lips seem bluer, and her eyes a bit darker. But that could just be the TV and camera doing that.
