Liara and Miranda are much too mature for a fight so I doubt we'll be seeing a catfight between these two characters.

She wasn't exactly mature regarding her spat with Jack, or said conversation afterwards if you did not side with her.

I agree, although pouting Miranda is kinda cute. :P

Their confrontation is not about Shepard (Miranda and Liara seem to get along very well)...and it's clear Jack started the fight. Miranda shouldn't have said what she did, but it's Jack who stormed into Miranda's office and threatened to kill her.

No catfights ever. I want their friendship expanded on. Actually, I want them to run away together, but I'll take what I can get.

If for some bizarre reason I didn't romance Liara, I'd be happy to see this.

No argument there, Jack is a lot worse, but in that particular argument, I think neither of them had the high ground.

Liara always would though, seeing all she went through to save Shepard. ^_^

If you're talking about a love triangle, I'm really uncomfortable with the idea that Liara has the high ground because of Redemption. It's one of the reasons the romance never fully gelled for me, because I felt like I was being emotionally blackmailed by the developers. "Look at how much Liara loves you! How could you not love her?" I'm really uncomfortable with any notion of Liara deserving Shepard.

I have no problem with that. The Liara loving came on it's own for me and my Shepard. If BioWare then decides to make choosing Liara even easier, I don't see this as a bad thing=]

Miranda did not act like I expected her to when Jack picked a fight with her but I don't see how you can accuse her of being immature afterwards if Shepard sides with Jack.
She felt betrayed by Shepard and thus, no longer wanted to speak with him/her on a more personal setting (her quarters) but she did nothing to undermine Shepard's authority or tried to compromise the mission out of spite. She basically just regressed to a more professional attitude.

I'm back for now.  Taking a break for a few hours.

Anyway.  I was faithful to Liara even before the DLC and I didn't even read the comic until early this summer.  I got ME2 the day after it was released.  So, I didn't even know about her anger with the SB because I never asked about it.  I play as a paragon, not a renegade.

Mac Walters wrote the comic.  If anyone did any emotional blackmail, it's the writers not the devs.  Two different departments.

I would say Miranda's attitude was professional.  If it was, she wouldn't have said, "Go talk to your friend, Jack."  I wasn't friends with Jack.

And besides, if I had my way.  Neither Miranda nor Jacob would have been on the Normandy once I got to Omega.  I would have left their asses there.

This is not the thread to be discussing this anyway.

It's funny in ME1 too when Liara says "finally some action" or "now it gets fun" IIRC, when you spot the enemies and the fight starts. I don't remember that "enjoy the ride" line, but I have to keep my ears sharp next time I play LotSB, which will be after I've completed SM in my adept playthtough, and I'm actually working on that playthrough atm, just arrived on Illium and finished that Liara cameo, terminal hacking and all.. just checking after every mission or assignment if there's anything new here:P

I do.  I always found it funny.  The "finally some action" or "now it gets fun" reminds me of Anakin Skywalker at the beginning of Revenge of the Sith when he says, "This is where the fun begins."   Expecially the latter comment.

I finished up most of the Citadel missions last night and renegaded the response to the Consort.  I did not get Liara saying anything.  I reloaded and paragon the scene like my paragon Leia would normally do.  I had already been confronted by Liara and Kaidan after Feros.  I was able to get the 2nd conversation after doing some of the Citadel missions and some of the Pinnicle Station stuff.  I wonder what Liara and Shep  will talk about after Norveria.  Normally that's the third talk.  Hmmmm..

Never liked those lines when Liara says them, they always felt out of place because I doubt that is how Liara views combat as.

Which is why I found those funny.  In an odd way, but I that comment was actually about the "enjoy the ride" comment Liara says outside the SB ship..  Maybe after working with Shepard for a little bit, she started to enjoy combat.  We know she did this when Shepard took out the krogan battlemaster on Therum.

How about Liara talking as a soldier by saying "Securing point"

I didn't have that confrontation in my latest ME1 playthrough or then I have a serious blackout atm and I just can't remember it for some reason. Even If I always went to talk to Ash (and Liara + other crew too ofc) there were no confrontation, but I always tried to stay professional with Ash and picked some neutral responses so it could be that... Guess I made it clear enough to Ash that I'm with Liara

Still don't buy that she enjoys fighting. She mentions that she would prefer if their adventure had less exploisions in them to Wrex, and in LOTSB she has the "You're enjoying this?!" to Shepard in the car chase.

I really doubt Liara is the type that loves to throw bad one-liners in combat. She's not Zaeed.

It is probably a bit OOC for her, but not as bad as Morinth's "Feel the power of the ardat-yakshi!" ^_^

Who knows at this point.  I normally play with Liara and Tali.  It doesn't matter which class my Shepard.

I do have Liara not enjoying riding on roller coasters.  They remind her of how much she got thrown around in the Mako.  :P  I really don't think she did enjoy riding in the Mako with Shepard's bad driving.

I hope that is the lighting.  Liara skin to me has a slight blue/green hue to it.  It could be the lighting from the game or the TV/PC the screen shot was taken from.  Not sure if I like it or not.
