Now that you mention it, the scalp looks really odd on demo Liara 

I don't see anything odd in that texture. I think the demo Liara is looking really good and beautiful, IMO it's the best Liara face model so far. I really like it

i'm on about how the scalp just ends really abruptly above the forehead rather than the E3 version where it seems to blend with the rest of her skin much better

oh well, at least us liara (and garrus) fans get to play with our fav squaddies again. guess the fans of all the others are just going to have to wait 'till march

From what I can tell, they tried to find a balance between the original Liara and the LOTSB version, by making her darker in the eyes, skin, and mouth, while still keeping her lips pink (purple now I guess). And as someone pointed out, the scalp is less flaky.

I am glad they listened to our pleas!
She is now blue and not purple.
Her lips are black to blue
Her eyes are back to blue (not LotSB blue though)
Overall a huge improvement!

Funny thing is, considering the paragon/renegade bar (that's supposed to show only for Shepard - BioWare said so during E3) is still there, this build has hardly been updated since E3 which is by now almost 4 months ago?

I still wouldn't put any faith in what Liara looks like in the leaked Beta. It's bound to change some more between now and march next year.

ETA: Though it is a big step in the right direction. Make her skin tone a little darker and give her those deep blue eyes back and I'll be a super happy panda.

If the leaked spoilers are supposedly true, then the identity of Liara's 'father' will be revealed in ME3. But the answers kind of obvious already....

Oh yeah.  This has been discussed previously many times in this thread, so I assume its not a "spoiler."

Most of us believe Liara's father is Matriarch Aethyta, the barmaid on illium.  She can be seen in a vid at the Shadow Broker's base staring at a photo of Liara and claims to have a pureblood daughter.

Ooooh, her! Ha, how could I be so dense! Honestly, I never cared much about the identity of Liara's father, but I really liked Aethyta, she is so different from the other Asari in game. I wonder if she has a role of sorts to play in ME3.
