Well, I wouldn't call Tali a "fling" either, I was more trying to explain how I thought the other perspective works.

I will, for your sake, hope for a new Liara romance as well.

In ME1, I more of looked at it that they shared a moment, but they didn't get a chance to talk about their feelings afterwards.

ME2, however, well, we know Tali and other ME2 LI's been on Shepard's lap, and having chit chats. As well as cuddling on the bed.

Yes, and kissing, Kissing and cuddling independent of the storyline so it can be done anytime (perhaps not anywhere though), at least when back at the Normandy.

I was referring the romance plots themselves, not attacking individual characters. Sorry if I offended you or anything. All ME1 and 2 character romances consist of the usual talk, talk, talk, sex pattern, after that, there's no more continuation of the romance. Us Liara fans had the chance to continue the romance plot from ME1 and turn it into something more serious (thank you for that BioWare) I simply cannot call any other other romances an actual romance, it's a fling for now. If those romances are continued in ME3 and turn into something more, then it should be called an actual romance.

I will ALWAYS choose Liara over any other squadmember so this choice would be pretty easy for me. However if I had to choose between some of my favorite squadmembers (Garrus/Wrex or Tali/Garrus for example) then.... No.. I should not give BioWare ideas.

I don't see BioWare changing too much at this late date.  If I have to choose, Liara wins always.  The only super hard choice would be between Liara and Tali.    That is the squad I use most of the time in ME1 and in the SB DLC.  I am planning on using them in ME3 most of the time.  If I have Tali.    Tali got a rocket in the face on my first canon playthrough of ME2 and that's the first import file I plan on using for ME3.

Here is a silly little question.  I finished off another run of ME1 with my canon femShep yesterday.  I wanted to fix a few things.  While driving the Mako.  How many times do you think Liara said "Oh, Goddess" or Tali saying, "Keelah" to Shepard's driving?  I have a tendency to be bad at driving it with me flying off of cliffs, things of that nature.

I was making myself laugh with the head canon banter to Shepard's driving every world I went to that requried a good size hill to go up.  Which is just about all of them.

Still playing ME1? Sure... why not. I almost finished my vanguard playthrough of ME2. Just the Suicide mission, Arrival and Liara Cabin Scene left. Think I'll do that tonight (Suicide mission is one of the missions that should only be played in the evening. Same as Ilos/Citadel from ME1 and the Final Battle from DAO) After that I'll have one of each class ready to import into ME3. Right on time too, 2 days from now I'll be playing Skyrim.

Anyway. I imagine Liara said 'oh goddess' a few too many times to count. Especially when the Mako landed upside down or front first into the ground.

Liara: Shepard!!! I'm going to be sick!
Tali: Those shock absorbers are neat, but they won't work when the vehicle lands upside down.

I do hope thy keep Liara as she was in LotB, thy actualy managed to make her atractive

Liara was always attractive. Lotsb just made her even more so...

well I played ME2 + LotSB first so I didn't have the chance to play w/ME1 Liara first and form an opinion from that, I kinda walked in to ME1 loving Liara already, LOL.

I hope you can still have a proper relationship with Liara if you didn't romance her in ME1. My Shep decided to not get involved with anybody in ME1 as it didn't feel like there was enough time; if it was allowed to happen, they'd have started a relationship with Liara during the events of LOTSB, but sadly it was not meant to be.

Let's hope that there isn't another Virmire moment. My fear is that my male Shepard will have to pick between Ashley and Liara ... Seeing Liara die would be awful but he wouldn't let Ash die.

But then again, that is what I am hoping for ... those hard decisions that make me drop the controller and pace. It helps that you can play the game over and over changing your choices as desired so no death is ever permanent. In some of my games Ash is alive while others Kaidan is ... the rachni queen is dead while others she is alive.

Besides, my bottle of whiskey is waiting to be used as a crutch through the game.

I actually hope there is another Virmire situation.  If people are going to die, I want to pick who it is that dies.  No forced deaths you have no control over.  If I do something and character X gets killed and it was because I did something I shouldn't  have.  Like the SM deaths.  I'm good with that too.  It's fixable.

If the choice is between Liara and anyone else.  Including other LI.  Chances are Liara is the one that gets saved.  I like Liara's character more than the others.

Is that a bad thing?

Do everything in your power to fight and hold him off.


After reading the Thessia scene properly.

There are three version.

1. Liara only survives VS is killed. Lang asskicks shep or is held back. Makes no real discision.

2. Both live but only if Lang is held back. He still wins but shep remains conscious and all squad live.

3. Shep is beaten by Lang and critically injured. He has to choose

A part of me would hate another Virmire and the other half would only like it if the choices mattered. Picking between a favorite and someone not so favorite would really defeat the whole moment. The decision for me is suppose to hurt not be "oh, joy ... I get to kill you!" That type of gameplay doesn't interest me.

Liara and Ashley are my absolute favorites and letting either one of them die would be hard. So if there is a Virmire it would only put me into stress mode if the options were among these two. 

Sheesh, it would be hard to watch Liara die though after everything that they have been through ... but my male Shepard would not willingly let Ash die. Right before I picked Ash a glass of whiskey would be downed and then "please forgive me Liara".

That reminds me of the first time I played the suicide mission and I made the wrong choice killing Tali in the process ... That was horrible seeing her dead. I think I even yelled, "Noooooo! Tali! Wake up! Dear Bacchus ... medi-gel! Someone get medi-gel!"

How much of that wiskey did you say you drunk before you started that suicide mission?

Now that I think about it, if Liara died in ME3 I would probably shout 'Noooo!' so hard, the neighbours would come round to see what's wrong. That and I'd need a box of tissues. It's also the only thing that'll make me reload an earlier save. I promised myself I would play the entire game without reloading if something doesn't go according to plan, although I'm making an exception for Liara getting killed, in which case I will reload.
