BW should have made a Blue Collector's Edition. You know, blue metal box with Liara on it, Liara only art book, digital "soundtrack" containing Ali Hillis' voice acting lines, Liara lithograph, Redemption comic, extra outfits and other ingame stuff for Liara etc. :P

Yeeeah, because the 'waaah liara favouritism' crowd would just love that. :D

And the DLC squadmate + mission can be a Liaracentric DLC where you play as Liara :D

Nah, why would anyone call that favouritism, I mean that would be just one DLC and one Special edition of the game, not a big deal :D

And in the other hand, we Liara fans would get our lovely blue Liara CE and Liara haters would get another "reason" to hate her (not that it would be character's fault if she got her own CE) we'd get what we want and they'd get what they want. So that would be a win-win situation, don't you think  j/k

quick question, is there any official word yet on what Liara's face will look like for ME 3, are they going to reuse her Lair of the Shadow face or are they going to give her another redesign?

I'm guessing you didn't see E3? Or the beta leak? E3 she looks like Liara from Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. The beta look was different from either games.

There was a comment from the devs somewhere that Liara in ME3 will use the same assets as Liara from Lair of the Shadow Broker.

I know you were mostly joking and it's all in good fun, so know that I am pointing this out in good humour, but when you think about it, what you are asking for could have colossally bad results if it were a reality. Not because of Liara favoritism... because, why would they stop there? Have a special edition CE for each squadmate, with missions, outfits, weapons, and upgrades you can't get otherwise. Want to cure Thane's Kepral Syndrome? Well, only fans who purchase the Limited Thane Edition can do that. Whereas the only way to romance Tali is with her edition, so if you want do both, well, a true fan would just buy two copies... or three, if you want Garrus to live :bandit:

Until, of course, the GOTY edition comes out for 20 bucks with all DLC included.:wizard:

yeah, I saw the E3 demo, but that same month Bioware said they hadn't finalized the design and that it was a place holder.  As for the leak, it looked pretty much the same as the E3 footage, so I'm not sure if it's still the place holder or the final design.

This is more a question for the artsy people, who have coloured Liara before. What is the best colour-mix for her skin-tone?

As you said I was mostly joking (wouldn't mind if there were an actual Blue Edition though ) and what you said was a good point. I guess no one wants to buy 12 different special editions of the same game just to make sure all the characters you like survive. But what I originally meant was more like a normal ME3 in some sort of Liara box, something packed with Liara only goodies instead of these normal CE goodies, extra mission and other ingame stuff too perhaps but nothing that would affect the actual story, or that you wouldn't able to do something because you don't have this special edition. So all ingame stuff would be just extra fun for Liara fans.

And ofc we can always paint our CE boxes blue if nothing else :P

Shades of blue and purple all in one palette, Im guessing they also use gradients here and there to make the skin look shiny, not sure if and what textures they use, but her skin isnt as soft as human skin.

If you wish to colour your own Liara drawing or use the colours, open up photoshop or illustrator, and use the drop tool to see the different combinations of colours in each area.

Or for it to be easier for you, hopefuly someone who actually draws liara a lot and successfuly can tell you specific palettes

Hey guys, just popping in to ask something that's been bugging me. It might of been talked to death already, but bear with me since I don't really follow this thread. Since she now has the role of the Shadow Broker, don't you find it strange that she's a permanent squad-member? Now, I'm not saying I don't want her to be in the game, I just don't view it being convenient for her new role, unless she sets up a CIC (or whatever that thing was called, lol) that links to the Shadow Broker's ship. Also, there is that funny drone, but it can only do so much correct? There's a lot of variables to consider as well, like if she's romantically involved with Shepard, that could cause some emotional strain towards portraying her role as the Shadow Broker or make her distracted (at least in my perspective), also if she's willing to continue down that road at all. I understand that she's very smart though, so she should be able to balance out certain priorities for her life, but I'm just thinking of future consequences because you never know what might happen or what type of influences might pop up.

I'm just curious as to what you guys think, would you see her developing in a certain way, maybe going down a colder path, becoming to engulfed into her work, or none of that at all? Also, there is a chance of these things happening regardless of her being on the ship or not.

It's difficult to answer your questions without spoilers. What I can say is that judging from the leaks, everything you've mentioned here has been considered by the writers at Bioware, and they've addressed your concerns in what I personally find to be a satisfying and intelligent way.

I'd be happy to elaborate in a PM for you, as I'm trying to be mindful of forum folks who don't want to be spoiler'd. ^_^

Ah, I don't want to be spoiled, but thank you for answering!  I'm glad they've considered her new role and what she's doing in the Normandy.

There were a lot of speculation about the things you asked, but it's all somewhere in this thread, a couple hundred pages back or something, so that's quite an impossible work trying to find that stuff there. :P

Those damn spoilers just killed all the fun of speculating, when some people already know what is going to happen. Just have to wait untill ME3 to see how correct those speculations we made before those spoilers are going to be.

I'd feel myself an idiot trying to give you some sort of answers ( =my thoughts and speculations) for those questions, when they'd most likely be wrong while there is this actual information ( =spoilers) out there at the same time.

Thanks for the help. But I don't use PS or Illistrator anymore, I get paid four times the amount for traditional drawings as a freelanceer.

You know guys I clearly made a mistake when I decided to start discovering BSN outside the Liara thread. There seems to be some mature people who can behave appropriately, but there seems to be too many immature, aggressive whiners and most of them seem to hate Liara (or some other their non-favorite character) for one reason or another. Okay I understand you can't like all the characters, I don't like all the characters equally either, but I don't hate anyone. When you start to discuss with them they can't even have a proper debate, they're just raging all around the damn forum while you could have a nice normal conversation. You can give your opinions without yelling and raging you know.

And the reasons they hate Liara are just unbelievable. They hate Liara because "she's useless", "Cerberus could've recovered Shep's body without Liara's help too" or something like that. I mean c'mon, if you want to start thinking that way, basicly all the characters are useless and they could be replaced by other/new characters. Why was Garrus the archangel, why it was Tali who was on the Freedom's progress, why of all the assassins in the galaxy it was Thane we recruited, or why it was Miranda who led the Lazarus team, not some ugly middle aged overweight guy. That is just childish.

Okay okay, I know they're pissed because their favorite character is going to have less screen time than the original squad, but that's still just childish, I like Thane, Samara and many other characters too, but I'm not expecting them to have more screen time just because I like them, well ofc they're not my LIs so maybe that's different but anyway....

And sorry for this, I just needed to blow off some steam

Jack is my first LI, the first savegame I'm going to import and I don't have any sympathie for the whiners.
Don't have any sympathies for them, they whine just to whine about something.
Offer them some cheese for their whine instead, maybe they'll like it.
