In line with the Liara reference picture I posted some time ago here is one of here alternative outfit. it suits her much better without the headband thing in my opinion.

Damn. I should have made her eyes blue... Oh well. Might re-upload that at some point.

Nice to see my work appreciated, though. I tried to match the her AA outfit from the ME3 picture.

Just a quick question for you guys, completely out of curiosity. Since I haven't explored BSN outside the Liara thread that much, is this whole hatred thing just about Liara or team dextro or other ME1 characters who have been given a big role in ME3? Because honestly I haven't heard a single word about anyone who would really post these hate comments about ME2 Characters, or have I just completely missed those?   Ofc there are people who don't necessarily like those ME2 characters but I haven't seen that they would hate them in the same scale like the people who passionately hate Liara for example.

So is all this stupid hatred thing just because some ME2 character fans didn't get their favourite character as a permanent squad member or is there more to it? Because I just can't understand that kind of hatred, I have no reason to hate any particular character even if I don't equally like them.

I hope this isn't completely a stupid thing to ask :P

It's not just fans of sidelined characters starting ****. Fans of favored characters (particularly Tali) are also instigating, calling out anything other fans say that is even remotely not in line with their own views as "being pissed because X got a big role and their favorite didn't" Neither side is blameless, there are too few reasonable people on here. But then again this is FANS we're talking about and... well just see the quote in my sig.

Why, thank you:wizard:

And who doesn't? Testing the Old Republic, anytime I had to wait around for an objective what would I do? Actions-Social-Club Dance.
My only regret is that I didn't know about the Flux dancing when I was going through it. It'll be awhile before I'm there again.

Pretty much; these are the characters that have received the brunt of recent hatred, along with declarations of the desire to kill them off.

Ofc there are people who don't necessarily like those ME2 characters but I haven't seen that they would hate them in the same scale like the people who passionately hate Liara for example.

People who hate those characters have no need to whine about them, as they aren't in the ME3 squad.

So is all this stupid hatred thing just because some ME2 character fans didn't get their favourite character as a permanent squad member or is there more to it?

Primarily. They are upset at the "favouritism" they feel Liara and Team Dextro are getting, and feel the need to lash out at those characters and their fans in response.

Because I just can't understand that kind of hatred, I have no reason to hate any particular character even if I don't equally like them.

I'm with you on that one. How you can hate any video game character so much puzzles me.

I hope this isn't completely a stupid thing to ask :P

Not at all.

To be honest they are pissed because their characters did not get the amount of story they think he/she/it should deserve. Since some of them are really clever they just start inventing plot critiques on how ME story should have been saying for example that "Liara role is too important to be on the Normandy" or other similar things like insisting on the possibility to be a douche with Liara for no apparent reason....if you do not like a character just ignore it

I can understand the frustration of some fan but this is not an excuse to hate other squadmembers

EDIT: Oh i forgot the most patethic excuse to hate Liara "Shepard would be a little bit pissed off by the fact that Liara gave Shepard body to Cerberus to have him back".......so according to them Shepard should say  "how dare you Liara bring me back to life!! i preferred to stay dead"......ops no ME2 nor 3 sorry <_<

@Mass Storm: because clearly Shep should be bowing at Liara's feet for her handing him him over to a terrorist organiztion that was seriously considering putting a control chip in his head right?

You like Liara and like that she saved Shep? Fine whatever. Just don't try to turn your nose and act like all other interpretations are stupid.

Think it also might be that it is simply trendy to hate, people waste tons of time and energy on hating e.g. movie franchises or book series or what have you. Everything is lame or at least lamer than something else, and if you like anything you're an instant naive fanboi and must be ridiculed.

By the time you meet her though does Cerberus really seem like a terrorist organization? Maybe there's more to it than previously thought. And a small hope of life is better than none.

Public forum. Isn't really in good taste to run to another thread then go "OMG X idea is so stupid." that someone else posted and expect a lurker not to comment,

Hating Liara because she saved Shepard from becoming a reaper/collector servant is exactly that....stupid.

Yup they do.

For you CrutchCricket. Everyone isn't so attached to life that they'll take the risk of being a slave with it.

@Above Poster: Yes because disliking a decision and it contributing to Shep's dislike of said character is totally hating on a character. Oi vey.

I think he's saying that Liara should've burnt Shepard's body.

Damn, back to square 1...

And where is the risk of being a slave? Control chip? Did that actually happen? No. Is it technically possible to tell Cerberus to go **** itself? Yes. Risk of slavery=0.
