Do they have explicitly stated this? I think we should not worry maybe the Liara we have seen in the previous videos is just a placeholder

I don't see why they'd update Liara's ME1 look just to have it serve as a placeholder, when they've got LotSB Liara ready to go.

Me neither. And I thought most of Liara fans prefer her lotsb look. I wonder if Liara in the demo we'll get to play january, will be the same as in final release?

 I've noticed something.  Liara only says "Embrace Eternity" when melding with Sheperd for the purpose of sharing infomation, but when they did so in order to intimate she never says this.

My theroy is that Asari only say the trigger phrase inorder to initate a controlled meld with just there minds, and  a "true union" is an uncontrolled,  full  meld of the mind, body, and nerves,

I think it'd rather kill the mood if you're into something intimate and romantic and just when you get going someone shouts 'Embrace Eternity!'. I think there aren't exactly a set of rules concerning when an Asari should say that or not. Though Shiala says it as well when she gives you the cipher. I think it's more that an Asari wants to sound a little mystical so they add the embrace eternity part to make it sound and look more.. err.. mystical!

I think it's probably this. The whole 'Embrace eternity' thing is likely a pleasantry for a meld, but a 'true union' in Liara's words is more intimate, so words aren't needed or desirable.

No seriously, I agree, I think embrace eternity was nice, not bad at all, although the first time I played ME1 I was like "dude... what on earth is happening? o_O why should I embrace eternity, what does that mean exactly" my reaction was similar to Shepard's reaction when he/she gets the cipher from Shiala, or at least the facial expression was similar, but pretty soon I discovered it was quite a cool thing, the whole embracing eternity. But I've never thought that the word combination itself would be bad.
