MY photoshop isen't working, but has anyone else picked up new-defualt femshep; has freckles in the same spots as liara.

Liara is a character that likes to give Shepard counsel, whether on his role as a symbol of humanity, his well being, his fight against the Reapers, and his romance.

So in ME3, what would you want her to counsel you on? Or what would you like to counsel her about?

I hope I get to ask her about what she plans to do after the war with the Reapers is over. Maybe try to convince her to go back to archaeology. I always loved the scientist Liara better than the broker Liara.

I dont want to sound.. er mean harsh or anything like that but I have some words for this particular situation.

To love someone is to love who they are no matter what happens. You cannot change them, and they must learn to grow and expand themselves. You can be there to support it, or even give your voice of concern, but they will be who they will be..

Well, it's not like I'd force her into it. Multiple times in the series, you're given the chance to steer characters one way or the other. If she asks what I think she should do after the war, and I have the option of advising her to go back to science, I'm gonna do that.

Thanks again for your encouragement! I've been really blessed by all the kindness shown me in my poor scribbles of a story. My sister-in-law kept asking me at our family New Year's Eve party questions about EW Shepard and Liara and what would be happening in the next part of Shepard & Liara's story. What would happen to Sibila, Eveline, Grandpa Jack, etc. ... and Manny who she has a crush on.

It made me and my brother laugh since she doesn't even play Mass Effect. When she started reading the story I had to show her pictures of EW Shepard and Liara ... plus Benezia, who she also loves. She has no idea of Benezia's fate. 

After having her threaten me to "hurry up and start tellinghow they meet" ... I am just now sitting down to begin the next story. How can Liara be responsible for my sister-in-law bullying me? Paragon Liara making a normally soft spoken person turn Renegade! I'm really nervous when she reads about Noveria ... I may need to move and go into protective custody. I mean she really LOVES Benezia (and Tatiaria). 

I keep trying to get her to play Mass Effect but she isn't a gamer or into video games at all. She loves to read and avoids the TV like the plague.Well, at least through fan fic she is getting to know Liara.
Or at least my skewed version of her.

With my romanced Shepard, I would like her protective side in combat (ie, "cover your eyes") to continue as well as their quiet talks (ie, Normandy cabin time in LotSB).

As far as to counsel ... Personally, I think that Liara would be the one to counsel Shepard and not the other way around to be honest. Not to say that there wouldn't be something that Shepard could counsel her on, I just can't think of anything at this time. I'll have to really think about this.

As to what type of counsel Liara might give Shepard ... She grew up in the home of a diplomatic leader so she would probably understand the political minefield and the potential backlash of other species as Shepard works on uniting the galaxy. Asaris have a gift at diplomacy so hopefully in that area she could help guide Shepard and also calm him/her when frustration sets in ... I'm looking at you turian councilor!

PS - I thought I would risk spoilers to see how the thread was going. Missed other Liara fans after talking about her last night.

I always wished that there was a way to save Benezia but no such luck. It is really sad to see people with good intentions lose their way for whatever reason and I am hoping that in ME3 we have an option to defend her memory if someone talks bad about her again and that Shepard & Liara can really revisit how her death impacted Liara.

But that probably won't happen so at least I have my own version in my head.

xD that's awesome. I wish I could get someone I know into a ME story like that!

You're stories are hardly scribbles, you have a true talent for writing and story telling. Remember the part in your story where Liara was trying to escape the study in her home, and was climbing the balcony as Benezia was watching and they were like, "Why doesnt she use her biotics?" I totally had a vivid image of that scene in my head. I dont usually get that with most fanfics xD yours however has done the trick in that department.

Funny enough that no one I know plays Mass Effect. Well my cousin was close, but ME1 was too boring for her. She is more into shooters or games like Assassins Creed.
But with the new multiplayer for ME3 and all the action, who knows. ^^
The only way my sister plays a video game is, when we play it together. But only adventures like Runaway.

And I told my guildis to buy Mass Effect but they are all hot for Diablo 3.
I clearly have to work more for my MP Team. xD

I've got pretty much the same problem. I have only one friend who plays mass effect but he's now playing swtor and actually he's not that much into mass effect anyway and he dislikes Liara I'm always trying to get my friends to try out mass effect "THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME YOU HAVE TO TRY IT" "yeah.. what ever, I'm playing world of warcraft/assassin's creed/call of duty/battlefield 3..." so I haven't really got any luck with that so far.

But in the other hand, my physics teacher plays mass effect I've had a couple of conversation about ME with him. Feels weird when your physics teacher asks you about ME stuff "should I try playing as an adept, I've only done soldier playthrough, since it's so easy, you just have to point your assault rifle and shoot..." And then we have these inside ME jokes during the lessons for example when we we're talking about Milky Way and when my friend asked that "what's in the centre of the galaxy?" "well, basicly there's always a black hole, but I and Korkki know better, what there really is *laughing*" "but actually it isn't there anymore, since we destroyed it" "oh, you're right" Makes physics lessons always a little funnier

But anyway, I'm totally ready for some Liara thread co-op action on PC, when the demo comes and finally in March. Assuming that some of you guys would like to join me.

I will never play the MP.... just doesnt feel right to me, even though the premise seems sound. I just want to experience ME3 the way it started... single player

I think I'll play ME3 through a couple times first and then I wanna try out the co-op. It sounds cool to me, so I want to at least give it a try. I admit it though, that at first I was very sceptic too and I didn't even want to hear words Mass Effect and multiplayer in the same sentence. But what could possibly be funnier than kicking some Cerberus agent or Husk @ss with your friends .

Ofc it might be that the whole co-op thing is totally crappy, but at least I want to test it.
