Male Shep definitely, but I could see both working. personally the only reason I don't romance Liara with femshep is because femshep is a little too butch for my tastes

I like fem Shep and Liara, they are just perfect for each other, the whole interaction in between them in mass effect 1 and LOTSB just made me smile the whole time, I truly believe they have a connection

Well, I'm not sure how to answer that question. But what I do know is that I like my male Shepards with Liara more. I don't trouble myself with who I think is "better", because, when you get down to it, all the difference there really is is a few pixels and the voice. Anything beyond is subjective.

The romance between my Shepards and Liara makes me feel happy and fuzzy inside, and that's all I need.

Agree with you IndigoWolfe, there are only the 2 differences you said (pixels and voice), but if I have to choose, I choose then MShep, but only because all my playthroughts are with Male Shep

While I think Liara was written w/ male Shep in mind, I still prefer femshep as Hillis and Hale have so much chemistry w/ each other.  In LOTSB for instance, it's almost as if they were in the same room together.  A testament to Ali Hillis as Hale recorded her VO first. 

Then of course, there's this.

I like english mshep with Miranda/Ashly but not Liara..Meer just can't pull it off, it's like zero chemistry there. Seymour and Kimhari had more chemistry.. I honestly think Liara was made more with femshep in mind because ELL..

Now german mshep,and polish mshep are awsome T
