The last time I was here was around the time Skyrim was released, you should've seen this place then. "Desertion" is a word I'd use to describe that situation. I think we're not doing too bad keeping this thread filled with responses right now. And with new people joining all the time, we've a chance to discuss past topics again

Indeed. You'd get the super special afterlock post where Priestly has already locked the thread but you're the last poster. Pretty sad if you were hoping for a response to your post though since you're never going to get it:mellow:

At first it was because she seemed to be thrown into a story that wasn't truly hers. Ash, Kaidan, Garrus, Wrex  have all seen their fair share of conflict, even Tali was adequately prepared (remember the tech grenades she threw) for conflict. Liara was just thrown into the deep and pulled from her - otherwise solitary - life and put on the Normandy. She held on to Shepard for a time, especially when he seemed the only one to actually trust her. I just found her story rather fascinating.

Then came ME2 and Liara was a lot more ruthless on the outside than in ME1, since I didn't get into ME2 until shortly after the release of Lotsb I had no problem staying loyal to her. She saved Shep's life and now proceeds to help Shepard again in her own unique way by utilizing the resources of the Shadow Broker to find some way to stop the Reapers.

Aside from that she's blue, cute, has an incredibly talented voice actress...And I think I'd better stop here.

When i first played mass Effect it was the second one, so Liara in mass 2 wasnt really attractive till lotsb. Whereas in mass 1 which i later bought, she blew me away, she was so sweet and supportive.

I'll admit all mass effect characters are good in there own right but personally Liara is the best. By far<3

I agree! Such a voice and eyes are unrepeatable (unless Miss Ali Hillis uses her "Liara voice" in other games she could work):lol:

I hope you have the same "bug" as I when I became spectre...
I run into the Normandy and without saying a word Joker just rushed straight to Therum...:lol:

EDIT: now seriously, you know the place were you cannot pass with the mako where you're forced to continue on foot, just before you fight with a collosus geth (I think it was that)? okey, there is a bug there, in which you CAN PASS with the mako.
I don't know wich version you're playing, but in PC at least if you save your game before, you just have to follow this video:


if you do it correctly, you can fight ON MAKO with the collosus geth or whatever it was, and IT MAKES MORE EASY that fight than doing it on foot

I always played as a Renegade so I chose Renegade dialog (unless talking with Liara, I take always paragon choices with her. She's the only one in the whole galaxy capable of calm my Shep:whistle:)

I'm Paragon, so I don't usually have the Renegade options. But I do have to admit that the Renegade option in this scene is hilarious. Liara's face at Shepard's comments about Asari sticking to dancing gets me every time. She's playing along, but she still looks a little bit hacked off, haha.

Liara's look is also what makes me, lol. I think a rebuke from liara,  at Shep's comment, would have been awsome. I used to be paragon, but Renegade is just so awsome.

yeah, but if I remember well they're all in the cabin scene post LotSB, when you tell her "we all die tomorrow" and something similar derivated of that option of dialog.

What I meant was that I'm renegade with everybody, but when I have to talk with Liara I keep the paragon choices, keeping the romance, and without cheatting her. I also make sure of myself to doing all the paragon interrupts (after killing Vasir the two ones and the kiss interrupt) so my romance even being a pain in the ass for the whole galaxy keeps safe with Liara
