When it comes to team banter in ME3 I wonder if Bioware has some members not so friendly to each other. Not hateful mind you ... just not overly friendly. I can say from personal experience that no team that I've ever worked on had a 100% like each other average. Tolerate, yes. Like, no.

So when it comes to Liara ... who do you think that she would like, respect and/or veer away from? Now, I don't think there would be hate since they all survived Saren/Sovereign together, but would there be a crew member(s) that you think that she would try and avoid if at all possible? Would there be someone on board that she might have shared secrets or at the least spent time with?

Well Ash doesn't like aliens so I think she hate Liara. Also if you picked Liara in the Male Shep romance confrontation, Ash sould hate here more, so I hope in ME3 Ash tries to intimidate Liara because such decision (so my Shep could kick Ash ass:devil:). Also concerning other members, I hope Mordin and Wrex having some words if you destroy the genophage data at Mordin's LM, more about the conflict Miranda&Jack...

EDIT: I'm enjoying talking with you about all this things;)

Ash and Liara do have a very prickly relationship ... which always causes me stress because I love them both. As much as peace between the two would be nice, if they made them soul sisters in ME3 I would have to cry foul. Ashley doesn't trust aliens and I can appreciate her concerns as well as understand why she feels that way ... heck, even Liara thought that humans were insignificant and pretty much a joke before she came onboard the Normandy, so their feelings of non-like were pretty much shared at the start.

If your Shepard was male then that friction was even greater, especially if that Shepard led both on to the confrontation. But hopefully Ashley eases up a little on Liara, which I think we will see to some degree. After all, it was Ash that sent Shepard to check on her after Noveria. Maybe they can find a neutral ground to work in after everything they went through in ME.

I could see a "battlefield" respect formed between the two but that would be it. But who knows what ME3 will reveal. Bioware might bring them together as friends that make sense. Who knows.

Now I must admit that I love both characters - Ashley & Liara ... as noted in my sig ... so I have a varren in this fight. Image IPB

Very nice, very nice indeed:)

It's the same when you run into the krogan on Tuchanka and tell him that he is acting more like a weak quarian (don't remember the actual words) and Tali says, "I'm right here Shepard". That was funny!

I think that Liara would understand that Shepard is just trying to divert her.

You mean there IS a response from Tali about that particular moment? I've taken her with me several times and I always opt for Shepard saying the Krogan is "Whining like a Quarian with a tummy ache" but Tali never said something about that. I always thought there should be a response. Any idea which particular squadmember combination causes Tali to speak there?

If you read my first experience with Liara, you can imaginate that i'm devoted to her:P. It's true that at the beginning Lia felt humans as a joke at the beginning, but that was because she had no contact with our species before Therum. On the other hand I don't know if Ash had other contacts with aliens before ME (maybe you can tell me that if you know all her dialogue choices) but I think her alien hate is justifyed by something in her past.

My shep never arrived to the confrontation, I just went for Liara and make clear to Ash that we were friends and she was my subordinate:whistle: so no romance option with Ash, but I know the tension of the confrontation thanks to Youtube. I also have to admite that there Ash shows her being mature by telling Shep "we're not kids" or something like that.

In ME3 them being soul sister? I won't approve it too. I hope some tension beetween them (I just "virmirized" Kaidan in hope of that confrontation beetween Lia and Ash) and that being solvented by Ash throwing away a little bit of her alien's hatred and Lia also letting Ash entering into her world.

You can go in ME3 to Tuchanka, buy 2 varren (one from each girl) and bet in the varren-fight. if Liara wins, no fight beetween them and if Ash wins no fight beetween them (so really your Shep wins):devil:

Had Shepard not been human I'm not so sure that Liara would have changed her opinion.

After all, we know that it wasn't the crew since she says that they do not trust her and she clearly at the start does not understand our "sarcastic" humor (thanks Joker). So what about humans made her re-think her viewpoint? For me it is Shepard and Shepard alone. But Shepard is not a fair representation of humanity as the aliens you pick up are fair representations of their species.

Wrex is not your typical Krogan, Garrus not a typical turian, Tali not a typical quarian and Liara is not running around the galaxy sowing her oats. So its always made me wonder what Liara thinks of other humans, not Shepard. Has her viewpoint really changed? I put too much thought into this game, I know.

Ashley has not been around other species, instead she has been placed on backwood human colonies so like Liara she has very limited experience as well. Both will have grown when ME3 starts so this will be exciting. I also wonder who Ashley had as her mentor in the Spectres ... was it an asari? A turian? I am hoping an asari but I'm not sure ME3 will even cover that. Shepard was not training or evaluating the VS, so if ME3 says Shepard was their mentor that would also make me Image IPB.

Let's hope that Ash trained with an asari ... that would be interesting.

That's like all this games works. You never get the standart *insert race here from insert videogame here* people, you just find the most strange, badass... elements so we can't judge the Normandy Crew as you well said. I agree that it's only Shep who changed Lia's viewpoint of human beings. Also remember that the crew don't trust her because she's Benezia's daughter, the daughter of Saren's ally, YOUR ENEMY, and you don't know in which side Liara would be, until she repeats twice in ME1 "i'm at your side Shepard" or something like that (at least I think this is the reason of the crew untrusting Liara)

about ME3 VS trainer as specter, you say you won't cover it but that's normal, I would also like to know Liara's infance, or why she went to digsites, or why Benezia splitted with her bondmate and raised Liara alone, how many time she raised Liara, who trained her at biotics... There are tons of info we as ME fans would like to be covered but we know i't impossible for DEVS to show us all our desires so in the most cases we'll have to conform ourserlves with few info, maybe none, so that's why fanfics exist.

After this paragraph about my wonders from Liara's life, I know you'll tel me "at least you know that is made official that in ME3 we'll go to Thessia, so maybe you'll found there your answers" and you'll be right, but that scares me a lot, because will BW satisfy my desires? I'll agree their explanations? By writing this to you I'm starting understand why VS and Miranda fans hate Liara bout her "plot armor" but... Liara is Liara:D:D and I don't want to start a "war" with them and with you.

returning to Ash, if she had few experience with aliens, why all her hatred? devs must not end ME3 without developping main characters (garrus, wrex, VS and Liara) so they do ingame or via DLC, but they HAVE TO do it. An asari training here? I wanna see that too, that would make Ash getting into asari culture and feelings, so meaning understanding better Liara, and also would feel better knowing there is someone besides Shep who trusts her, even a little. I think she deserves that because all the pain she has endured (SB, Feron, mourning Shep if romanced...)

sorry for my bible :D:D

I just want to say that I've been playing SWTOR and there's a glitch were during convos everyone's eyes go black, haven't even thought once about complaining to bioware about it, also Twilek or Asari?

I personally go for Asari just because of Liara

Edit:  I'm saying this as someone who originally bought mass effect because Drew Karphysian was the lead writer and he did such a good job on KOTOR, and with the Darth Bane Novels,  the only thing that outweighs Bioware in my heart is Star Wars.

think of asari only they have two long head tails called lekku instead of tentacles,  they are basically known in star wars for being dancers.  Jabba kills one at the begining of ROTJ if you've watched it.

Kaidan tries and keeps his emotions in check, especially after killing that turian out of anger. Its not that he doesn't give a flip, but he holds it in. I always found Kaidan sexy with his reserved nature. Call it the librarian ideal ... reserved in public and wild in the boudoir.

But if you compare him to Ashley, well ... she is more fiery in nature and so she voices what she feels ... she makes me think of a friend of mine who lacks a filter. She says what she means and means what she says. I love her but sometimes she makes me go ... Image IPB

I want to like Ash, and my canon Shepard considers her more of a friend then Miranda. But they always have a rocky friendship, since Ash's romance is automatically assumed for just being nice to her. It's not like with Liara and Kaidan, where they pop the romance question.

So you got the "aliens on the ship" argument. The confrontation scene that shouldn't of happened. And then Virmire, where she wants to sacrifice herself. And then Horizon.

So it's really hard to keep a friendship with her, from my Shepard's perspective.

The fact that you have to romance the characters to better understand them has always bugged me. I have only romanced Ash, Liara, Kaidan & Miranda so I've never gotten really close to the others in-game. I have to flesh out that part with my imagination. Not that I'm complaining (Ken you're complaining) but just a little extra nuggets for the friendship path would be sweet. I'm hoping that in the next game we have a better friendship dialogue.

My romance Vector Hyllis, has always black eyes. (side effect of his joining) ^^

I dare you to play one Jedi Knight until level 10 if you miss Liara. :>
After that I really wanted to play that demo...

If you think Vette is awesome, then you seem to be a minority. Most people don't care about her or think that Vette is annoying. Twi'leks continue to NOT impress me at all.
I vote for Asari. Aethyta, Aria and Liara are awesome. ^_^

Definitely Asari though I rather like Ashara from my inquisitor playthrough as well. She actually sends me daily love letters now, if only Liara did that during ME3. It's not too late for that, it might still happen:innocent:

That's indeed an awesome moment - I take it you are referring to the green Twi'lek - though I did receive 100 dark side points for doing her, they were totally worth it. Over the course of the game I've seen 3 npc's voice by ali hillis so far. One is the twi'lek from the JK story on Tython. One is (I think) a human female from the smuggler story on Ord Mantell. Another is a human female giving you a quest in the dune sea imperial camp on Tatooine. Know any others by any chance?

I agree there! Kaidan from my point of view makes the look of the "self reserved one in public, but when he talks, he shouts all his feelings without hesitation" while in my opinion too Ash makes the look of the "hot tempered one. Fierty, reliable and strong in the battlefield and with her mouth"

SORRY FOR DOUBLE POST;)

did they specify how it differs (for example, doing LotSB with romance, she came by X reason...) or they just said it like you did?

Where does Liara said that banter? I think I need advance my new ME2 game because I'm starting to forget some of the banters in LotSB and that can't be good:whistle::whistle:

EDIT: if you consider my first question Spoiler (it could be if someone didn't read the game-informer, I don't read it because I have to study now) you can answer me by MP telling just yes or not. thanks!
