I get that BioWare wants to give new players (starting with number 3 in a trilogy is lame imo but I digress) the option of romancing Ashley, Kaidan and Liara and that's prefectly fine with me.

But what I don't understand is: Why waste time on love triangles in the first place? If you romanced Liara in ME1, reaffirmed that romance in Lotsb and then try to move on to Ashley in ME3 (for whatever reason) Liara should just confront you the minute you start expressing interest in Ashley, not wait around until you're about to jump in bed with Ashley and then confront you - Even though that would be incredibly funny.

I think it's also due Liara's character to object asap since she wasn't too pleased with cheating!Shep in the first place. This way any potential love triangles would be cut short, that just leaves the ME1 vs. ME2 LI (if you cheated) to be solved. Love Triangles between your old LI (who is present on the ship) and a new LI from ME3 would just be rediculous...<_<

It seems rather silly that Bioware would provide opportunities to romance Liara or the VS in ME1, in Genesis and again in whatever Genesis-equivalent there is in Mass Effect 3 and then have romances open to people who didn't take any of the previous options in the actual game itself.

Furthermore, I just don't see the love triangle from ME1 as something that Ashley really dwelled on. If she did, I have to say I'm quite surprised. And I don't think it's in the good way.

One more reason why I'm not too happy about this whole love triangle stuff. It seems out of character for someone like Ashley to dwell on this, never mind for 2,5 years.

It's a leaked script of the game Indigo. That means that there are lines meant for all sorts of situations or varibles.

Granted there are a few holes where dialog is missing (whether or not this is because the script was incomplete or because its genuinely not there), Liara/Ashley love triangle being one of them.

well well.. it's a leak and also BW adviced us to "not follow it" and also that they may change thing into the development of the game. What I mean is in my opinion is better left the leak away and wait till March. we've waited 2 years since ME2 so I think 2 months won't be a problem:wizard:

about the possible love triangle, I think BW don't know what they want yet. As both of you said, who want to romance Kaidan (for example) if at the end it will finish romancing Liara?? then Romance her for the beginning. I know people do such things just for enjoy the dialog choices and all that stuff, but I find it something weird:mellow:, do you agree?

And if I remember correctly, the intro and the ending are always the last things to be changed in works like these.

I hope that the chance to still pick the character that you didn't pick in ME1 (and hopefully even s/s) is there. It allows for more story-telling options and re-playability. Not everyone that has Shepard change lovers is playing a slime ball.

Emotions are a funny thing and sometimes you see someone in a new light. You could have a Shepard who romanced Liara in ME1/2 and then when he re-meets up with Ash he realizes that while he does care about Liara ... well, he really loves Ash. How will that play out? How does this Shepard handle that? That would be interesting.

I look at the game as one that I would like to play in the future and try different things, create new story lines, shape new Shepards ... that option of the VS & Liara being open again for romance in ME3 would allow that.

But that is just my 2 cents.

So true. I had a crush on someone in my early twenties that lingered for years! And that was just a crush.

I can only imagine if you loved someone ... really loved someone.

Makes me glad that in my 40+ years I've never been in love ...  and yes, I am over 40 and proud of it!

Started out in games playing PONG with my brothers for hours ... never would imagine the world of gaming would lead to this ...

My Shepard with Liara is safe now that they have talked in LotSB and my Shepard with Kaidan is safe although after Horizon they have yet to resolve their last meet-up.

It's my male Shepard with Ash that is not so safe ... he strayed with Miranda. That is the story that I am really looking forward to since he loves Ash but cares for Miranda. What I don't want to see is some type of "catfight". I want the choice to be hard, to feel slightly bad when he breaks off with Miranda and there be a struggle to get back with Ash. This mistep of the heart is on Shepard, and Shepard alone, so any glares or knives thrown should be at him and not among Ash & Miranda.

Now if the objects of affection knew the previous LI *looking at Tali & Garrus* then I might understand a few heated words between Liara & Tali for instance. Not scratch your eyes out exchange but some type of WTF?

yeah! that's why I want too the posibility of confrontations beetwen ME1 LI and ME2 LI. I think In both games we had confrontation beetween their own LI (ME's Love triangle VS&Liara and in ME2 I think they may be some but IDK exactly, I never romanced anyone there because I'd always stay with Liara) but what happens with someone in your situation? (love Ash from ME1 and after that went to Miranda from ME2)

and that's why I claim too that confrontation being more mature, in the sense that devs didn't repeat the same model of actions they did in ME1 (catfight), I want them invent new forms of doing those confrontations. I don't want for example, just after Mars mission X and Y LI meets your shep and start their catfight (like ME1), I prefer the fight being dessigned the same way devs made romance dialogues.. did you understand what I mean?? 

(I'm sorry if I just didn't explained me well, I just have a bad day and I'm out of my mind:P)
