Writing memoirs are they now? How romantic. Ho ho ho.

Oh, and cue the haters complaining about buddy/buddy dialogue between Shepard and Liara.

I'm sick of seeing sheploo..Iwanna see femshep or a custom mshep, not his ugly mug.

Yep I can hear the hate now.  I hate using kinnect, it hates my accent..

So with just a month to go until it's Demo time, is anyone feeling a little... worried/anxious whatever you want to call it?

So far Casey Hudson has constantly told us that the model of Liara we've seen so far 'was a placeholder' or 'we're still working on it' or 'still isn't final...'. I imagine come February 14th when the demo hits we'll get to see the actual fully finished ME3 Liara model.
Will BioWare have listened to the fans and gave us the awesome Lotsb model with 'Dem eyes' or will they truly make a mix up of all models used so far? How will the lighting affect her since some of the pictures I've seen were gawd awful thanks to the lighting.

I'm anxious to see the result but I can't help but feeling a little worried...

ETA: Thank you Hollow for providing us with an example of Dem Eyes in the above post.

I was under the impression that her look in LotSB was her updated look for ME3. It's pretty obvious that Liara, Ashley and Kaidan are all the same from ME1 until you start the shadow broker mission. Since ME3 was already in development when that DLC released, I figured they just decided might as well put her new look in since the ME1 characters looked very... dated.

I like to pretend that Shepard is me, this is a roleplaying game after all.

Maybe he has just played that demo way too many times already, and now he should be so excited showing that new kinect voice control ability to the people. After those 1000 play throughs you may not be that excited anymore ;)

I've just been wondering here, how difficult it would be to make that kinect like voice control for PC and PS3 too. I mean you can plug a mic into your PC and same goes for PS3 and even my 4(?) years old cheap ****ty cell phone has a voice control ability (and yeah it's a phone you can call and send and recieve text messages with, so nothing fancy). I'm not a 360 gamer (or a console gamer in general) so I don't know that much about it or kinect, so what is so special about Kinect that you can't extend that voice control to other platforms as well?

I can imagine myself shouting commands while a platoon of cerberus troops are attacking, and think about the romance scenes . Oh well, maybe I'll just settle for picking dialogue options and issuing orders with mouse & keyboard.

Good call! Have fun. Does anyone else always get really tempted to go back and play ME1 whenever they hear the theme music? Gets me every time, without fail.

Also, I'm sat here listening to the credits song from ME1. Does anyone else really think it fits as a song from Liara to Shep? 'And I need you to recover, 'cause I can't make it on my own...'

Absolutely, it fits so well for Liara and Shep. And that song, M4 part II by the Faunts is also relly good as a song, not just because it's the ME1 end theme. I'm actually listening to it quite often (and singing along ). Both ME1 and ME2 OSTs are great, everytime I'm listening to them I really feel like starting a new playthrough ;).

Indeed.

Actually, my male!Shep can't go for Liara. Tried it once but ... nope. That playthrough never got finished.

However, Liara fits to a female!Shepard. I hadn't a single fem!Shep before, so this one is going to be my "fem!canon". Besides that I'm curious how things play out in Liara's romance. I'm not much fan of a "easy going" romance, so I hope there's some drama attached

I would hardly call Liara's romance "easy going". Remember ME2 when LOTSB did not excist? There was alot doubt and uncertainty about the romance and alot of people moved on because they felt there was nothing left there.

Granted now LOTSB is here and players who don't want that uncertainty can just jump straight into LOTSB pre-suicide mission. But if still want to maintain said drama, play thoughout ME2 and only do LOTSB after you completed the game (but before Arrival).

I have read the spoilers but will not make a finale comment yet. But I will say that ME3 seems to expect that you played LOTSB and sorted things out between you and her, since there seems to be zero dialog where Shepard can call her out on her behavior during the Illium cameo.

^ Sure.
I'm a bit biased here since my heart beats mainly for Ashley and her romance - which comes (I won't go into details here) with far more drama compared against other romances.
I think compared to her romance the one with Liara will play out entirely different and with less drama. Actually, the fact Liara saves Shepard removes a lot of distrust-issues already. And you have LotSB and therefore some kind of reunion in ME2 while I still have to wait till ME3 for that Shepard!Ashley reunion.

That gives me the idea Liara's romance comes with less distrust and drama.

Now, lets see how it plays out. I'm curious ...

I don't know about that, even in LOTSB there is still a sense of uncertainty in regards to the relationship.  Shep can't call her out per-say, but the issue does come up according to the leak. Hmmn maybe I should do a playthrough where I don't do LOTSB.

I know, sorry If I offended.

IDK, in my opinion her new model is one based on her ME1&2 models. There was this same discussion here in the thread about "what will be her model in ME3, her LotSB or her ME1&2??" and I think as Robhuzz that we have not clear clues because of the lightning of the pics BW showed to us....

What I can say is that some users here posted tons of pics comparing all her models in both 2 games and DLC, so I hope someone could post some again to show you the results of that comparation. In my opinion I think her ME3 model is fully based on her normal ME1&2 model, that's why people like Robhuz and others wanted to have her with her DLC model because that was PERFECT (in capital letters:P:P)

@Robhuzz--> no need to thanks.. you know well there is nothing better than Dem Eyes:devil::devil:.. well in fact there is something: DEM EYES!!! (this one is for both you and Breyant)^^

Erm.. how about I tell you this after I've actually played the game? For starters I have no idea what the conclusion would look like. Things were heading in the right direction after you finished Lotsb and took another step with the cabin scene but that's so little to go on.

As long as they don't take the easy way out (you know because ppl may be able to start a new romance with Liara in ME3) and give all those people the same scene. Something like putting the relationship on hold for the duration of ME3 only to continue at the end of the game and have a romance scene like usual. That outcomewould not make me happy to say the least...

@Karmen

Don't mention it. ^_^

Hate? Because of what? The romance not proceeding as nicely as people expected/want or hate between fans of different characters because one character gets a better romance than another? Quite a difference there.

Hi CptData ... Ashley and Liara do have different romances but they both push back if you take the right dialogue choices. I'm right there with you on the MShep loving only Ashley in ME1 as you know ... it just didn't feel right if he chose Liara. Friends? Yes. Lovers? No.

It was my canon Shep - FShep that romanced Liara and they have a very push & pull relationship.

What I like about choosing different LI's is that it not only shows you that character in a different and more complete light, but it also shows the other characters differently.

So good luck and I hope that you enjoy the different ride. Posted Image
