Yeah, the VA for Liara also does Lightning in FF 13 I believe.

Indeed, Ms. Hillis is the voice for both Liara and Lightning.  Not to derail completely but I was very disappointed when I found out Lightning was largely offsceen in 13-2 and the focus was instead on her sister. . .

I have a hard time believing that. I hope they have Liara pull the gun away in the finale version, she just looks paranoid and silly doing it.

So did I. But I'd cry if she did say that in game. Hell I do hope this scene doesn't make it into the game like this. Pulling a gun on a hologram. Erm... Liara?

Of course you can't judge the scene from that single shot. Liara and Shep could've well went into that room before the hologram was on and TIM just turning it on remotely. Liara being watchful pulls her gun in case it's something hostile.

Well the Asari probably won't be leaving the galaxy any time soon (except the ones that are killed off by the Reapers) so I doubt Liara will suffer that fate. Also Liara states in ME1 that Asari take a different approach to relationships and that even after their loved ones are gone, they'll remember them seem not to dwell on it too much (after a good while) though the Asari on Illium whom you give the locket to seems to suggest not every Asari feels this way.

The way Liara explains it I'd compare it to how the Jedi see death.

Another underage girl with funny hair saving the world. I would've never expected that from a JRPG. 

But that's why I stick to things like mass effect
