Oooo, nice idea.  That would be very cool.

I have a question for everyone on this thread.

Since Liara took over as the Shadow Broker, what do you think she did with the troops the yahg had?  Do you think she kept them?  Or let them go?  I just don't know.  Wondering what others thought on that.

It seems like she kept them, can't really tell for sure though.  I doubt the ship would be able to run without large crew for maintenance and the like.  Feron seemed to think that they were more or less slaves to the Shadow Broker as well.

*edit <_< I feel obligated to post a picture of Liara, hopefully this will do.

She kept the mercernaries on the ship. If for nothing else than basic security.

I still have questions about how they let Shepard in, I mean he's a pretty famous person, and if he is visiting the SB regularly that might be strange, especially for mercs who worked for SB for a long time seeing Shep walk in and out of SB office in his casual wear, I don't know it might be just me but I think the guards would get suspicious, then again they might not give a f... damn since they are getting payed anyway.

Or maybe Liara told them that Shepard was welcome at any time.  I just don't know.  Why I ask what others thought.

Erm.. didn't Shepard and crew kill all the mercenaries on the ship?
I for one don't think Liara got any extra mercs to act as security for the Shadow Broker Base. Think about it, right now, none of her agents know who the shadow broker is. Why risk your identity being known by getting more mercs on your ship. Besides, with nobody except Shepard and Cerberus (okay this last one is a little creepy) knowing where the base is, I think she doesn't think she'll need more security. Also, Liara is strong enough on her own, she can wipe out a band of attackers by herself, without the need for some security.

You see a few listening to Liara's first SB broadcast. So I will assume that there is still a few mercs on the ship. But yes, the garrison is presumeably much thiner after Shepard and Liara paid the base a visit.

And Cerberus knows where the base is. And that is what makes all the diffrence in the world. If there is no garrison on the ship. Nothing will stop Cerberus from just deploying a couple of commandos that they have and take the base for themselves, Liara is not a one man army and would.

And because Ceberus knows and is keeping an eye on her relationship with Shepard as stated in the mission brief, is why I think they are the reason Liara is with Shepard in ME3.  I think others are thinking that too.

Why is TIM even keeping an eye on them?  Really?

Perhaps the base has some sort of hidden intrance that can be used by important buisness partners or agents that have been appointed by the SB herself? So they can enter and leave the base without being seen by the garrison (to avoid security leaks).

I think Cerberus destroying the base in the start of ME3 is a quite plausible theory.

As for why TIM is keeping an eye on them. Why not? Good material if he wish to emotionally blackmail (for the lack of a better word) either of them in the future.

Which will give all my Shepards another reason to put a bullet right between those glowing, goofy eyes of his.

Yeah I bet she just walked out of the SB office and was like:
"Yeah guys do you mind not bothering Shepard when he comes over kthxbye"
/facepalm Nobody sees the ShadowBroker :)

Good point, maybe a private docking bay?

The yahg gave instructions to his army when Liara and Shepard was taking out his horde, not reason why Liara couldn't use the same intercomm to inform them about Shepard. Just a thought.

Indeed. If the mission is important Liara wouldn't make it, my Shepard would kill himself after saving the universe and I would never ever play the game again.

You don't HAVE to be a role model hero who sacrifices himself or his loved ones to serve the greater good you know? Sometimes it's okay to be completely selfish and let a few people die to save yourself or those around you. Liara will understandPosted Image

A few, maybe. I did say "If the mission is important".
If my Shepard would have to choose between saving Liara and saving a bunch of other people, the fact that Liara is quite important in the war against the Reapers would make it rather easy to choose.

I do, however, think that the choices will be of greater scale than just a few people. Hopefully we'll get some choices like save the council or not, but this time it will be more like saving a planet/colony/city or not.

I wouldn't mind another 'save the council' choice. I always save them in ME1 because at that point it seems in the future we'll (meaning Shepard) need all the help we can get. That works best when you've got the trust and gratitude of the other races. In ME3 however, I do not need them any more so that'd be another really easy choice there. Unless Liara's survival depends on that descision of course, which I doubt.

I agree with what your saying.  Liara is the reason Shep is still fighting.  I did one game with Liara not being the LI and when she asked what Shep was fighting for.  I think that time I picked revenge.  Shepard made a comment to Liara about working with Cerberus and telling him not to work with them.  (Dang it, forgot exactly how is phrased)  Liara's reply was I gave you to them.  I trust you to keep your morals.  It sounded very simular to what Chakwas said when you spoke to her the first time.

Hmm must have missed this, I had multiple playthroughs but never compromised my own personal morals, same in real life too :)

That's not really the renegade answer if you don't romance her.
What are you fighting for? Shepard says something like she/he vs. the galaxy and Liara says: It should have picked an easier fight.
I pick the Cerberus answer with Shepard who romanced her all the time. I love it when Liara calls Cerberus bastards *sigh*

Yes I played LotSB to much....

I don't have any non Liara romance playthroughs so I'm wondering. How do you get Liara to call Cerberus a bastard? And Lotsb simply cannot be played too much.

Is the Cerberus comment only if you do the cabin scene before the SM? Because Liara asks about Horizon instead of the suicide mission?

the conversation is a bit different if you choose to do LotSB BEFORE going the the Omega 4 Relay yes. But I only played the DLC before the SM once so I can't remember what was different

It's not all that different. The first part after Liara gives you the tags changes. She either comments about 'there would not be a single man woman or child left on horizon if you hadn't been there' (before SM) or she says something about 'you and your team beat the collectors and came back out alive' (after SM). Only other part that changes is the final part where Liara says 'when your team is ready, you'll leap through the Omega 4 relay' or 'When the reapers finally arrive, you'll dive into the fray'

And that was just out of the top of my head. Hmm seems you can indeed play Lotsb too many times...
